Went for the Big E craft food and beer event. Food was not good. Very disappointing.
The venue was wonderful but the food was so far below what is normal quality at the Log Cabin
The outdoor setting was amazing. Good music and beer. We thought the food was just fair. Not up to Log Cabin standard. Not priced (beer as well) fairly for what you get. Maybe their revenue is down due to the virus and they are making up for that. I am OK with that to help get people back to work.
We sat outdoors as it was nippy, but we felt safe. The food:meatballs, pretzels, cordon bleu bites, shepherd pie, chicken pot pie all good. The vegan buffalo chicken not so much. Service was mediocre. Live music a nice touch. Local craft beers and cider a fine addition.
Great Staff, entertainment and food was fantastic!
The view and ambiance was great- we came for the Big E event- and were a little underwhelmed. We were hoping to sit around, taste a few beers, order some apps and make a day of It. Ordered ‘sliders’ which was a full sized sandwich, not for sharing- not bad, but not what we expected! The beer selection was great, we w
Was suppose to be a taste of the big eye but wasn't. No decor. They should have had food trucks or something. Some stuff tasted good and some not so good. The doors to outside was left open it was freezing inside. We didn't ask for outside because it was so cold and instead it was just like being out there. The the greatest sorry
Super fun night - Great food and drinks !
The scenery can’t be beat
No one from our party of 6 finished their food or drink. Not worth it, we went elsewhere afterwards for food.
Band was a bit to loud ... our waiter was fantastic . Busted his butt all night . Food was good came out quick and hot !
Easy check in, quick friendly service and amazing view!
Pricy ! 3 appetizers, 4 drinks $100 plus we left a tip.
GREAT craft beer event! My only complaint is we wanted to stay longer and we were only allowed an hour and a half. The food could have been better, I ordered a rueben slider which was a full sandwich very tough meat. Atmosphere was fantastic would love to go back.
Waiter was awesome, entertainment was amazing, food was delish
Loved the atmosphere. Having live music and being outside was GREAT! Unfortunately, the food was horrible. Don’t go hungry. You must buy at least one appetizer. Would only recommend cheese and crackers and chicken fingers. I will go again but will only buy the obligatory appetizer.
My family was celebrating a birthday. The space was great, tables were set far apart and we felt safe. The waitstaff was attentive and took good care of our table. We highly recommend the Irish Nachos , Chicken Pot Pie. and Shipyard Pumpkin Beer with a sugared rim. This was our homage to the Big E. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Outdoor New England Craft Pub: Menu was limited. Did not care for chicken meatball appetizers but boneless chicken wings were very good. Terducken was a bit greasy, chips were a tad too salty. Shepherds pie was good. Chicken pot pie was not really a pie - it only had puff pastry on top. Beer A Misu dessert was excellent. BigE Cream Puff was disappointing - tasted bland and stale. NonAlcoholic beer was not available. Beer selection was good but would be better with fewer IPAs; there were no porters or stouts listed. VERY Covid safe. Super service. Will likely go again.
Food was just ok but music and atmosphere was awesome
The overall experience at The Cabin was great, from the time we were greeted by the staff, to the time we left. The wait staff was most accommodating , and attentive and the music was enjoyable.
Gorgeous decorated outdoor venue, the service was first class, and the cider was delicious.
The food and service were amazing . Our waitress was outstanding and very attentive to our needs as well as the other tables she was working
had a great time BIG E event listening to Gary and Natalie Jones-great atmosphere food and music!
Big e event was awesome!! We had a great time and definitely plan to go back! I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was amazing. Definitely recommend!
Great time with friends. Live music was fantastic.
Good to be out and enjoying life again.
Even though we made reservations it took them 25 minutes to find us a table. When they finally brought us in to the dining room there were at least 5 open tables so I’m not sure why it took so long to seat us. They seated us in the very back of the room far away from everyone else. We then waited another 25 minutes and nobody came to our table. I got up and asked a waitress about the wait and she said they didn’t know we were there. 15 minutes later we finally had drinks. Another 10 minutes later they brought out the food but some things were missing.
Good idea with a very basic menu. service was very good. I would think again as to what styles of chairs to use for outdoor dining. Some do not work for dining but are only passable for reclining. Some like metal high top stools are just uncomfortable for any period of time.
The food was terrible, the music was waaaaayyy too loud and it was pricey.
Great food with great beer! Will be going back again before they end it for sure.
Everyone had masks on and very attentive to the customers. There food was good and they had music that special day. I would recommend the Log Cabin. Very satisfied customer.
Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The log cabin has alway had great food but they totally failed with this event. We got a few different apps which were ok. Then we got the so called sliders as our dinner. They were a full size sandwich. So i don't know why they called them sliders, they didn't fall into the slider category as far as we were concerned.. Either way they were terrible. Seemed like there was no effort at all. Just slapped them together. Putting the terrible food aside. The atmosphere was good. We sat outside and they did a good job with the setup. Service was great. Our waitress had a great personality and made that experience much better. They had a really good beer list as well. Sorry Log Cabin, Better luck next time.
Big e food was a let down. We ordered one of everything from the menu. Over priced and very small portions for the price you pay. The meatballs were great but everything else was sub par or cold. The pretzels were awful. I would like to come back because it’s beautiful outside sitting there, but not for the food. The drinks were good!
We had a wonderful experience and the service and food were excellent. We would definitely do this again . Thank you .
It was a beautiful afternoon. We sat in a great location with a great view. The owner came to our table and made us feel welcome. The food was good. I enjoyed listening to Queen while enjoying our food, drinks, and the view. I have already recommended The Log Cabin to friends.
I made a reservation on line and when we got there, we were questioned and asked if we wanted to be on the Mick. I said yes, that is what we made the reservation for. We waited and the table needed to be set. We were told she can’t seat us until all of us were there even though the rest of party was walking in the door. She then brought us in and rearranged the table. Not a pleasant greeting or way to start the meal!
The service was great.
Hi Gail, Thank you for taking the time to review The Mick. I am glad to hear that you had great service, but disappointed to learn that your night started in an unpleasant way. I am passing this information on to the managers, so that we may correct our greeting practices. Feel free to contact me with any further discussion! I went with a group of 8 other classmates from 50 years ago and had a great time. Played Trivia and that was a lot of fun. Food portions were huge, a nice setting and had a terrific server. Our only "complaint" was the noise level....very difficult to converse with people sitting next to you let alone at the end of the table. Still enjoyed it enough to where I am booking another reservation for next month.
Thank you Diane for this kind review! We love trivia and are glad to hear you enjoyed it as well! I look forward to seeing you on your next visit to The Mick. Cheers, Peter Rosskothen - Owner 413-534-7819 x 102
The food was delicious. Our server had no personality and bordered on rude. We used gift cards to pay for our meals so maybe that was the reason. My friend had a $25 gift card and her meal was $12. When she didn’t receive her gift card back, she inquired to the server and he said they have “no cash value.” The manager came over and said the same. I understand that most gift cards have no cash value but you should get the card back to use the remainder for a future visit. This is bad business and I was very disappointed since I have always had positive experiences at The Mick. The manager ended up combining my friends meal with someone else’s so they could use one gift card but their “policy” should have been explained either at the time of purchase or when we used them.
I want to thank you for this detailed feedback regarding your recent visit. While I'm glad to know the food you received was up to our standards, it's clear that the service was not and for that I must apologize. Please know that we will be addressing the issues you mentioned in your review with both the managers, and the waitstaff. I'd love to speak with you personally offline so I can work to make things right, please reach out to me directly. Cheers, Peter Rosskothen 413-534-7819 x 102
Food was great. Great choices. Liked that we could order from Delaney menu as well. Service was slow. Took a long time for drink order and then a long time to arrive. Overall service with our server was fair
Karen, Thank you for taking the time to review The Mick. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the food and menu options, but disappointed to learn your service did not meet our usual standards. I would love for you to connect with me offline, so we may discuss in more detail. Cheers, Peter Rosskothen - Owner 413-534-7819 x 102
Food was excellent as was service. 9oz glass of wine cost me more than my meal. The drinks were outrageously priced. Difficult to socialize due to noise level. Small space and crowded.
Karen, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this feedback. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the food and service, but am sorry to hear there were some other aspects of the evening that were less enjoyable. We will be using your feedback to continue to improve the overall dining experience for our guests at The Mick. In the meantime, I hope you will still consider joining us again for dinner in the future! Cheers, Peter Rosskothen - Owner Rosskothen@logcabin-delaney 413-534-7819 x 102
Food was great, was a little too noisy but it is a bar area so that's expected. Our service was terrible.
