Lovely evening with delicious cheeses, homemade breads and interesting, satisfying salads. Plus superb ice cream!
Trader's Point Cremery is a gem - fantastic healthy and beautifully prepared food in a country setting with great views. Ben was an exceptional waiter!
Took my 19 year old niece home on spring break for an evening out! Had a wonderful time exploring g the menu!
Always great food and amazing service. The rotating cut of steak and garlic potatoes are perfect. Don’t miss the homemade rolls and honey butter with your cheese tray. Banana splits are a MUST here. Live music on Friday nights but the real treasure is being sat on the deck area. Quiet, romantic, and our favorite place for time together.
Great meal - again. Love this place. Great service and good farm to table eating!
We all had a lovely time! Drinks/ food were great. Only thing...if we'd known, we wouldn't sit at the busy area. Next time, we will request other tables. We will be back surely!
We had a great dinner here. We had the cheese board which is one of the best we have ever had and we have been to France and Italy. They have excellent cheese and dairy here. We both had the ribeye and while we both thought it was undercooked slightly, the taste was outstanding. I really liked the mashed potatoes but my wife thought they were a bit runny. We ended the meal with ice cream. The salted caramel is as good as any ice cream we have had. We bought a pint to take home. In the past we have found the service to be spotty but tonight it was outstanding. The whole experience was the best in the last several times we have visited the Creamery.
Food was hearty and delicious. Had soup and salmon salad which was very good.
Gabby was great and food excellent!
Sunday Brunch was outstanding. The burgers are awesome. The biscuits and gravy were to did for. The service was excellent as well.
We've been to the Loft a number of times but not for brunch. The menu, variety, presentation did not let us down. We'll be back. We love that we can make reservations online and have a table on arrival.
The omelette was excellent with chorizo, ham and jalapeno. Maybe the best Bloody Mary ever and dessert was Apple Pie with salted caramel ice cream. Definitely will be coming back
I was looking for a unique brunch option that would also be an adventure for my family, because we've been cooped much of the winter. This fit the bill perfectly! It's conveniently located, yet it feels like you're on a little get-away when you pull onto the property. The menu had good variety, and the food was true farm-to-table and absolutely scrumptious! After brunch, we walked around the property to see the dairy cows and enjoy the lovely setting. We also purchased some cheese and ice cream to go from the dairy/gift shop on the lower level. My dad was so pleased, he took several pictures while we were there and made of list of people he wanted to invite another time!
First-time visitors. Two of us from Chicago and two from Fort Wayne. Had a great brunch. Emily, our waitstaff, was fantastic.
The cheese board was great. The salad was wonderful.. but I was disappointed in my chicken entrée. It was a half chicken (my mistake) it was not cooked through. I cut into the leg and there was red juice by the bone and the breast was still fairly pink. I don't know if this is the new way to eat chicken? Not for me.. I should have asked to have them cook it more (my mistake)
Steak and pork were very good. Cheese board and tartines were good as well. Fish not so good. Very expensive and better food elsewhere. Nice atmosphere and good service. Parking and drive are dangerous as not paved and not well lit
The only thing that I didn’t like was that after spending $200, I was not even told good night and thank you from the ladies standing at the front. That’s part of the service as well. That was a downer to me. I will think about visiting this place next time.
One of my favorite restaurants, especially for brunch on sundays!
We were seated on the porch, I don’t care for the porch , it it was OK . It was warm enough , not too noisy . But our table was not even prepared when we were seated . We were seated in the corner and the waitress seemed to forget we were there for most of our meal . Sunny was our waitress. She was nice , but not that good . We ordered 2 appetizers , only one arrived in a fairly timely manner . The second arrived right before our dinner and was taken off our bill for the inconvenience. Our meals arrived , 2 of the 4 were cold . Since the waitress never came back to the table we could not tell her . We ordered desert , she forgot to bring it to the table, brought our bill . We then asked for our desert , which was on the half melted side , we had ice cream , of course. Overall, disappointing . My meal was good , pork ,even though it was very cold . I know it was not supposed to be.
Our table was cleared of used dishes before the entree, the silverware was taken, non brought to replace. We had to flag someone down .
Overall good but after a few dinners here price doesn’t quite fit the experience. Usually it is service that is lacking. Today it was slow in general, one entree came out 3-5 minutes later than others. Silverware that was taken away after appetizer course was never replaced and we had to ask for new silverware when our entrees came (which was delivered in new napkins that we didn't need). Cheese/meat boards are also minuscule for the price.
Love love love the food, atmosphere, the staff!!!!
This is a “don’t miss” when visiting Indy!!!!
Enjoyed our evening. Food and service were great - the music was very nice as well. Not blaring a nice backdrop to a beautiful restaurant. Wish we could have seen it during the day.
Really enjoyed this place. Great ambiance, spectacular food, and fabulous service. They had a harpist the night we went - just lovely. :) One of my new favorite places - can't wait to go again.
Repeat customer that has come to this incredible restaurant for many years. I recommend this restaurant highlight.
The food was delicious, the wine was great, & waiter was knowledgeable. Even the transformer blowing didn’t change the mood! We were celebrating my daughters birthday.
Very nice atmosphere. I very much like the rustic, intimate feeling of the building. The restaurant heavily emphasizes the "organic" theme which, in my opinion, is little more than commercial hype to justified charging more money. The entries we had were very good, presented nicely, but pricey. Portions are smaller but appropriate with my only exception being the cost. Our server was very nice, energetic, and attentive.
Valentine’s Day was a fixed menu, which made the meal extremely expensive! I didn’t see anything about the fixed menu until my wife and I got there and saw on the bottom of the menu that it was going to cost $70/person! The food was really good, but beware of the fixed menu on Valentine’s Day... very sneaky!
Shrimp and grits could use some improvement. Too gritty and not creamy. Filet meal and cheesecake dessert was ammmmmaaaaazzzing!!!
We love this place! It’s our first choice every time we are celebrating a special occasion! Our experience is always amazing
Great food, great service, intimate setting
Great food and service-tables very close and neighbors eavesdropped on our conversation-failed to post fixed menu for Valentines Day on Open Table.
We were there for Valentines Day dinner. We had an early reservation, 5:15 to be exact, so it wasn’t crowded. Our server only poured us a half-glass of champagne, when other servers were serving tables next to us full glasses of champagne. We both ordered the filet, and our server never asked us how we wanted it prepared. The filets came back VERY RARE. I had to flag our server down to tell her as she had not come right away to check how the food came out. I sent mine back, and when it returned, it was still too rare, even though I had told her I wanted it more medium well. The third time it was served, it was still too rare for me, but I ate it anyway, because my date had already finished his. While I was about halfway through my dinner, our desserts arrived. I ended up having the rest of my dinner boxed up. The final disappointment was that I had given the hostess my credit card to pay for the dinner and the check was supposed to come to me; however, she placed the check in the middle of the table.
I have dined at the Loft before, and have had positive experiences; however this was a huge disappointment-especially given the Valentines Day “surcharge” of $70 per person. It was not worth it. I hope that the Loft will also train its staff to ask how their customers want their meat prepared. I do understand that Valentines Day is a busy night, but when you are dining at 5:15, there is no excuse for bad service at those prices.
Great place. Great food. Great experience.
We love to visit farm to table restaurants when we travel. The Loft did not disappoint. Good food. My husband and I both ordered the grass feed burgers. Mine was not cooked to order (I believe there was miss communication) but I did not send it back so that's on me. My husband loved his. Exceptional ice cream and Cheese Tray! Cheeses and dairy products all come from dairy cows on site! Excellent! Hope to be back on our travels!
Excellent Brunch venue . Excellent service from an intelligent and friendly waitress
We were very disappointed with our night at this establishment. We both ordered the ribeye that showed up very small and sliced up strangely. It definitely wasn’t worth the price. We were surprised that it was a beer and wine only bar, but that was fine for us. The most surprising situation was when at 10PM on a Saturday all the lights got flicked on, the music was turned off and all the staff was loud and acting as if there was not a couple in the corner finishing their bottle of wine and dessert. The female manager was very unconcerned when we expressed feeling disrespected. This was my second experience with her being rude to me. The first time was when I brought my 2 toddlers to get ice cream after a hike on their grounds (in which you have to pay to hike..). She gave us dirty looks until she insinuated that the restaurant was only for ordering dinner. So I took my girls after a hot hike to sit out front on some chairs while their air conditioned dining room was totally empty. This place acts very pretentious, when it has such potential to be a positive and unique farm-to-table experience.
The Loft is definitely in competition for the best farm to table restaurant in Indiana if not the best restaurant. Getting there is kind of tricky but the venue is beautiful. Get the cheese plate!
Would never recommend eating a dinner at The Loft! The cheese was very well presented and was good. That was what we have for the appetizer. It went downhill from there. My wife's bass was raw and gooey (actually quite disgusting). They took it back and the manager took it off the bill, but offered nothing else! My ribeye ($40 for 6 oz) was the most tasteless piece of meat I have ever had in my life. I mixed it with the mashed potatoes to get some flavor. The bill was $120 that I wasted!!
Great date night location.
