Food was good, waitress was efficient and attentive. We sat on screened in porch but doors were left open so flies bothered us.
Wonderful relaxed meal! Perfect for an evening meal of luxury.
Beautiful place to shar a glass of wine, cheese & appetizers. Food was overpriced for the portions. But overall it was beautiful we will be back more for cheese , appetizers ,wine and live music! Thanks
I love The Loft. The food is always excellent. Jonás our server was the best.
Lamb and pork were excellent. Porch was great to enjoy quiet away from the city.
Very good as usual ! It just can get a little noisy.
In town visiting a friend. Second time here, enjoy the freshness of food, prompt & friendly service, variety, and the accommodation for an active two year old. Definitely our go to place when we visit. Thank you :) Also took the walking tour, enjoyed the nature walk and our visits with the cows, chickens and ducks :)
Food here is consistently good & love the ambiance:)
The Loft at Traders Point used to be one of our favorite places to eat. However, something changed with the new executive chief. The service was very slow and not all of our meals came out at the same time. My wife and I had a cob salad and walleye. The salad was the size of a small dinner salad and did not represent what we expected for cob salad. I expected a LOT more for $15.00. The walleye was the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen with a few root vegetables. The fish was not warm, but tasty. I expected a little more for $28.00. There are many more options for restaurants in the price range that provide a better quality for the price. Unfortunately we will not be returning for dinner. Stick to the ice cream!!
We always enjoy visiting Traders Point. We introduced some friends from CA the night of our visit. The food and staff were excellent as usual
We really enjoyed our food. As always everything was excellent!
It was a perfect place to have a leisurely business lunch.
Sat in the screened in porch area, and the bugs were quite distracting. Flies and gnats. Food was great as usual but the bugs kind of ruined it.
Always a wonderful meal and overall experience at TPC.
My Husband and I went with our 2 year old for dinner on Sunday 9/1 and even though we had 5:45 reservations the Hostess said she wasn't sure if she could seat us right away because she didn't want to overload the kitchen. Most of the restaurant was empty and if the kitchen can't handle people being sat at the same time, then they shouldn't allow reservations too close to each other.
Then we were disappointed because even though I had requested the screened-in porch ahead of time and there were tables available on the porch, she said "The server I want for you guys doesn't have any tables on the porch." Not sure what the Hostess meant by that - because we had our toddler? or because the tables that were full weren't evenly divided amongst the servers? Either way I wish I would have spoken up and said that if there's table available, we don't care who our server is we would like to sit where we requested.
The food was good, but not amazing. My husband's burger was terribly overcooked and the Stone Fruit Cobbler is not a cobbler - more like a warm fruit stew. And on top of it all the service was super slow, our meal took 1 1/2hours!
Cool place, pretty good food - but since it was highly recommended by friends, we were very disappointed overall.
Food was delicious! Everything was great and we enjoyed our time there!
We always look forward to the Loft's Sunday brunch. In fact, we talk it up everywhere we go and typically bring new people when we dine there. The level of service, quality of food, and ambiance is something work experiencing. We had a slightly different experience with service on our last visit but hope it doesn't stay consistent.
Loved The Loft on Valentines Day for dinner, but the Sunday brunch was mediocre at best and very expensive. The service was arrogant on this occasion, but we had really enjoyed everything on Valentines Day.
Food wasn’t good
Filet = disappointing. Portion sizes = not comparable to other farm to table locations. Quality = pork loin did not disappoint. Dessert = non-descript. Value = less than desired for a party of five.
The service was horrible. My boyfriend did not get asked for any refills when his coffee ran out, we could not find our server most of our visit. The food was great, but for the price I expected more. I also would say their macaroni and cheese was mediocre. The mocha latte was delicious but that can't make up for the other foods. The cheese is pretty great, but again the cost is higher. I would not recommend going here for Devour, the menu they offer isn't really valuable. We ended up going with food from their standard menu. The ambiance was nice, but really I wouldn't really want to go here again. It was nice to see it, but I would be disappointed if I went here for a date or anniversary outside of this visit.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. Real farm to table good. Excellent waiter and service. Relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
Loved the live music on a Friday night during Devour. The Devour options were great with good portions, I particularly loved the carrots with my Brisket. We did dine with our 4 year old and his food came out later (would have preferred it first) but it was due to the initial prep of his food not meeting chef standards - which was comforting.
I've been to the Loft dozens of times over the years and have usually had good experiences. However, my husband and I went for our anniversary and both ordered the beef brisket off the Devour Indy menu. It was at least half fat. My husband, who had only dined there twice before, was totally upset and asked for a different meal, which was promptly brought out. He liked that one. The cobbler wasn't the best either. Should've had the ice cream I guess. All in all, I'll go back but just be a little pickier. It was disappointing.
A nat in my mimosa and a nat in the replacement mimosa. Sat next to the hostess podium and it was very noisy. Not much food to choose from. The food was over priced. Was still charged for mimosas. Messed up our desert orders. The ice cream and caramel sauce was gritty.
Great food, just a little pricey!
We sat at the outside patio and that was lovely. The cushions were wet and when I got up my pant leg was soaked, but that was OK. It was a beautiful evening and we really enjoyed sitting out there. Our server was a different story. I even had to ask to have him come out and start taking our order. We had very long waits for him all evening.
Our favorite restaurant for every occasion!!! It is awesome food, service and ambiance. Thank you to entire team there!
Beautiful place, but the service is painfully slow.
Took my mother here for devour! Our server was friendly, but unfortunately not knowledgeable about the very little limited devour menu. He didn’t know what how the pork was cooked or what the succotash was.
My mom got the brisket and I got the pork. It was tasty, but both of our entrees were luke warm. My succotash was hot which makes me feel like it wasn’t timed well and that the dishes were waiting on our side dishes.
We each ordered the cheeseboard and a scoop of ice cream and thoroughly enjoyed both.
We both enjoyed our experience, but thought it could have been just a bit better.
The food was different but very average. The brisket was like shoe leather, tough and over cooked and with very little flavor. Chicken dish is gnocchi was very tasty. Yeast rolls were disappointing - tasteless - and overpriced. Scallops were very good, perfectly cooked (3 for $36!). Don't come to dinner hungry because you won't get your fill! I plan to give it another try, especially the Sunday Brunch.
Love going to the loft for s treat. Back to college celebration. Excellent food fabulous service always enjoy the farm! Thank you
Great flavors & freshness. Quality ingredients in everything ordered. Superb service. Nice authentic historic atmosphere. Totally enjoyable!
Typically the food here is outstanding but I recently dined with my wife and two friends and left a little disappointed. The cheese board lacked any bit of creativity found at other high end Indianapolis restaurants. The finishing touches on several dishes that make them taste special were also forgotten—bad day for the kitchen I guess. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was freezer burned (for a place known for its dairy and ice cream I can make better at home or buy better from Kroger).
The restaurant was not especially busy but the service was really bad. We literally had to flag our waiter down each time we wanted something.
Fortunately our company was great!
Beet salad was excellent and the Walleye was really good but slightly over cooked.
Will probably wait another year before I try it again given the portions are always small and the price is high.
Pleasant staff but very slow service. Uncomfortable chairs. Otherwise very pleasant environment.
As always, excellent food and service. Highly recommended restaurant!
Incredible food. Started with the cheese board - an assortment of their farm-made cheeses, accompanied by a fresh fig jam that was truly the star - not too sweet, not too tart. Each of the four of us chose a different entree, and they were all perfectly cooked - pork tenderloin, walleye, scallops, and filet. Accompaniments were delicious. The waiter suggested the macaroni and cheese for a side, and it did not disappoint. Their signature dessert of ice cream with toffee and caramel sauce was a bit hit with the kids.
Love it! The food is great and nice to eat in a haymow!
This is a lovely farm-to-table restaurant and I will continue to visit as often as I can.
Staff was very accommodating to short term family visit at table side.
