I did not know that there is a renovation going on. So we sat at a more casual area. There food was not what I should have paid for. Maybe I will go back when the remodel is finished. It was very unprofessional that time. The server was great and did his best. The valet service was up to the great standards I'm accustomed to.
The Montage is remodeling so the access to the restaurant was a bit awkward. It also had stairs as the only access point for a person with a walker - challenging even if it is two steps. They could have build a ramp to make it for easy access for all. The Duck Main course - could have been a lot tastier and the server could have asked how I liked it. Mine arrived rare and gamey. Not a good combination but my dogs liked it. Entree price about $50 felt high but the service standards and the view are outstanding. We left at about 8pm and the Loft was very loud with a large party. Not intimate or quiet dining. It was also drafty and cold. Some of their ocean front windows were stuck open.
We enjoyed everything about our brunch. Everyone got something different and loved it. Can’t beat the view. Excellent service too!
My wife and I had such a great time celebrating a belated Valentine's day at our recent trip to the Loft. The staff there was so incredibly kind, professional and gracious; they made our experience even better. We offered to move tables (we were a couple at a table of four) when we saw the waiters trying to accommodate all the parties that were coming in, and the staff were so sweet and genuine in expressing their gratitude. We don't get to dine out at places like this often, but we definitely can't wait for the opportunity to come back and experience the INCREDIBLE food again. The bartenders here also make a great Old-Fashioned, which is my go-to drink. I don't often find a place where they make it right, but they definitely do at the Loft. Thank you all again for the great experience and we hope to be back soon!
amazing fine food however very pricey (our Charcuterie was 47.00 for very small portions)
We all love the place, the food, the service. The servers treat us a friends.
Our experience with the staff and to the food was really lovely. Also, Chris on the music was just phenomenal.
Food and view are amazing. The noise level from the bar onto the patio where we were having our romantic Valentines experience was so loud we could barely speak and hear one another. The staff tried Ti jeep the doors closed once they noticed but it was constantly left open and gave the feeling of being in a sports bar, not a 5 star dining experience. The management should give some thought to this!
Wonderful service from Stephen. Pork shoulder with hominy baked in chili verde!
Was really excited to have dinner with a view of the ocean. Other than the breadbasket, the meal was unremarkable. The breadbasket is great--lots of choices that all taste great. Started with oysters, which were shucked abysmally. More than half of them had shell chunks that were unpleasant to find in your mouth, and they were very tiny oysters. The scallop-greens-bacon entree was nice, large scallops cooked properly. The sea bass, which isn't the thickest fish to begin with, was the thinnest piece, over cooked and dry. The wine steward offered a nice, off-menu chablis. Otherwise, service was acceptable, albeit indifferent. Ambiance issue--the heaters outside emit a high pitch noise. It didn't bother me much--I wanted to be warm--but it bothered others outside, who kept asking for heaters to be turned off. So I was freezing cold. Thank goodness for a view and bread. Unfortunately, I would not return based on this experience.
