Slow service and they don’t even check their OpenTable - the hostess was very confused when I said I made a reservation on here. She had no clue they had a profile. Their OpenTable profile also said it was Happy Hour when we went but when we arrived it wasn’t.
We did a reservation for breakfast. It was confirmed. When we got there there was nothing any the restaurant was very dirty from the night before.
If you confirm a reservation at least honor your word.
O completely understand if you do not serve breakfast just please be clear.
Decent menu options, good music, and good prices for the location of the restaurant compared to other ones on the beach. "FYI" they do ask for a "ID" to be held by your server until you pay for your food.
When I got in line they told the people in front of us they were too busy and turned them away. Then they told me they couldn’t take my party of 2 and I told them I made reservations and she told me I was lying and that their restaurant didn’t make reservations and wasn’t on open table so I never got to be seated and eat. Very disappointing.
The hooka was great, drinks was good food and service overall needed improvement
Nice view and great staff. Food is excellent
ordered an app as my meal. didn’t receive it until after everyone had finished their entrees and were asking for boxes. friend ordered a specialty burger took a bite to find out it was just a plain patty and nothing else. sent it back and the kitchen added everything that was supposed to be on the burger, they used the original burger patty he already bit out of. very dark no outside lights and extremely loud on the street
Way to go! NEVER again. Hefty prices for mediocre food and improper service. The host was very nice, but the server came once to take the order and once to deliver the food. The prices are so jacked for what the food actually is; $14 for a SMALL drink, $22 burgers, etc. My boyfriend and I shared a $18 pasta and had 2 small drinks totaling $48/tax + tip PLUS a 20% SERVICE FEE which was included on the fine little print inside the menu that was not brought to our attention. After however long, the server comes to give us the check but I was never shown the receipt even when I asked for a copy afterwards. I tried to ask for an explanation but their response is essentially the suck it up you payed for it method. I tipped a server who didn’t even ask how my food was. The server had no use, the whole time we were paying an unknown, absurd service fee, and I can’t imagine if my boyfriend and I didn’t share a meal.
We booked and arrived and this place was not open and left in a terrible situation to find dinner.
They were out of everything and the waitress just disappeared over and over...
Horrible. Every food item we wanted was sold out. Waitress was so slow and didn’t even bring us water after asking for it 4 times. Will never go back
My partner and I decided to get lunch before heading to the beach so we made a reservation at this fun spot. The restaurant’s exterior view was very eye catching, the ambience was popping, lots of people walking on ocean drive and coming in and out. The choice of music was energetic and fun. We ordered an extra large frozen Sunday and a pina colada, and had brunch. The food took some time to arrive, understandable since the restaurant was pretty packed, but it was delicious. Our server Arlene was very professional and sweet, she even put our drinks to go. Definitely recommend this place for whoever wants to have a good time on the beach.
My parents and I decided to come here from a recommendation of a friend and I must say, we had nothing but an amazing experience! The food was exceptionally delicious and colorful, and their servers were beyond friendly and helpful. My server Jermaine was very knowledgeable of the menu and was not wrong when he insisted the rib eye steak was a must try there! Yummy❤️ Can’t wait to be back 👍
Wow! This restaurant was beyond amazing! My server Rosa went the extra mile to ensure my husband and I had a great experience for our anniversary! She was very friendly and the food was Devine. The restaurant was super beautiful as well, very lush and seems extremely clean. Will definitely be back and highly recommend :)
Had the best meal here with my family! The service was good for how busy it was.
I would come back again when visiting Miami!
Went for brunch and the menu items were very few and far between. The place was cute but not too much to offer.
The food and service were amazing! The only thing we wish was for mire umbrella shade. The staff was very helpful, quick, and the food was amazing!
It was Saturday night and the weekend of Valentine’s Day, I’m unsure if they were ill prepared for the shift. We got a table at 8:30, took 30 minutes for our bottle of wine, food wasn’t ordered for almost 45 min, we got our salads roughly an hour after sitting, and even waited another 10 minutes for utensils. Once the food came out, it was delicious. My husband had to get up and go directly to the kitchen to ask for condiments. Even though food was good, it wasn’t worth the wait or poor service that we received.
Was not what I was expecting when making the reservation but we loved it! The atmosphere is very energetic, we had amazing drinks while listening to the the Dj they had inside and enjoyed a burger and fries which were very good.
Miami currently has a curfew in place (midnight). We are traveling from out of town and did not know this. I was still able to make a midnight reservation and received no notice that the restaurant would be closed upon my arrival. $50 in Uber fees later, I was back at my hotel with no food.
Had the best time here with my family. The food was excellent! The frozen margarita amazing.
Wow! What an amazing experience!! The food and ambiance was phonmenal. Rosa, our server went the extra mile to assure our anniversary was well spent and couldn’t have been happier with her service. The food was all delicious! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food! Would certainly recommend.
Dirty, not home made food, looks fantastic on the menu but the plates were not at all following. Fortunately the waitress was nice
Whatever you do, avoid this restaurant at ALL costs. Too much to even type out about how horribly run it is. Worst decision I made in a long time was booking here.
Very slow. Some items that we ordered didn’t even make it to the table. We’re seated for about an hour before we even got drinks. Will not recommend.
Was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. First and foremost the née years Eve special menu was neither posted or expressed on open table. I do not know if that is a result of the restaurant or open table, guessing restaurant. Second the first course was terrible and when mentioned to the manager the comment was blown off and they obviously did not care care one iota about it. Overall it was very disappointing and the service was terrible. I would never return to that restaurant for any reason. There are plenty of other places to eat in south beach and I would recommend any of them over the Locust.
The food was ok, I think it was a bit expensive. Server was really nice, but we had to hunt her down to pay our bill.
