The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

We're a British pub in the countryside of old Windsor, offering a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out our list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.

We offer British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but showcases the
best of British produce. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with friends and family (and
dogs are more than welcome too).

    The waitress was super friendly and enthusiastic. I ordered the burger which came with fries and was great value. My friends ordered the courgettes flower and duck which tasted great, but were not such good value. They need two extra side dishes to round out the meal. The tarte tatin was worth the wait. The custard was sublime. Overall, it is a great restaurant if you pay attention to the items ordered and consider what is better value.

    Last night we had the pleasure once again to eat at The Loch and The Tyne in Old Windsor. Even though it was a Tuesday night, the restaurant was very busy. Although we initially did notice the staffing level was scarce, Meghan and Harry pulled out all the stops to make sure every table was seen to in a very professional and timely manner. Their commitment and dedication were such that, despite the inevitable increased workload, they managed to keep a serene and pleasant atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The food was second to none. We will be back.

    food tasty but some prices toppish especially for weekday lunches service very friendly and professional by the two waitresses which makes the experience so much better. not sure about the front of house lady - she clearly did not want any customers there. needs to smile and be welcoming - prerequisites for front of house comfortable restaurant made exceptional effort re friend's birthday if can have better introduction and offer weekday set lunch menus will thrive

    Service was inconsistent. Chap on door, didn't welcome us beyond asking for a name, and "inside or out?" Our first server didn't know what "our way" was when asked to elaborate on the Mac and Cheese. Always know the menu. Service did improve with the older more experienced servers. We did wait over 30 mins for Sweet course which was frustrating and wasn't acknowledged. Food was OK - the cheese doughnuts were savoury and indulgent. My pork belly was average, and was crying out for some acidity / cut-through from the advertised apple and sage which I presume was in the drizzled sauce. My wife's fish curry was OK, a perfectly cooked and delicate piece of cod somewhat overwhelmed with a haphazard curry sauce. Kids food was fine, if a little pricey. Rosé wine was expensive and was not chilled enough on service. In summary, pleasant enough lunch and venue but not great value for money and service could have been better.

    Occasion - dining with friends whilst I was visiting the area on my way back to California. Service was solid. Explored various menu options .. including the Lamb Entree & Steak, both of which were prepared & cooked to perfection & were delicious. Ordered several sides including spring greens & their take on a ceasar salad & both were wonderful. Tempted by a few deserts to top off the meal! Would definitely revisit again on my next visit through & my friends who live locally will look forward to visiting also.

    An excellent family lunch. The food was very good, but staff were amazing. - very attentive and highly engaging. We had our pet dog also with us, who was also was made very welcome. Overall a memorable afternoon, and we will return. Thank you!

    I have booked a table for a birthday dinner. We were warmly greeted by the host and showed to the table, where a birthday card was waiting, this was a nice touch. Unfortunately from there it went worse. We were given only the wine list (no other drink menu). As it was the birthday we went for non-alcoholic champagne (sounds interesting), but unfortunately it was just a sparkling juice… for £12 a glass (!!!) what an absolute ripoff. From the menu we have ordered: - cheese donuts - interesting flavours, would definitely order again - scotch egg - £16 for a tiny egg with not much meat on it… I thought it was a joke… As for mains we went for lamb and duck £32 each, and I must say, both were really tasty, tender, beautifully plated. With that we had a side of garlic mashed potatoes and charred hispi cabbage, both being very good. - dessert - miso caramel ice cream - again very interesting flavours, definitely something worth trying. Service unfortunately was very lacking for such a venue. Felt like people haven’t got much training/experience. We were constantly forgotten, waiting ages to place order, sides weren’t delivered with main course. Waiting for the bill and then option to pay it, took probably 15-20min. It definitely left much to desire. It’s a nice place and you can get a good food, with interesting flavours, but you have to be careful with your orders as £24 for 2 glasses of sparkling juice and £16 for a tiny and average tasting scotch egg, leaves really bad aftertaste…

    Food was very good, although our side dishes arriving 10 minutes after our main really spoilt the meal. Seemed to be a lack of overall management and customer attention. We would not go back.
