   Delicious surprises. The items on the menu aren't exactly as they are described. There are little twists to traditional recipes - not overly experimental, but also, not exactly as you'd expect. The dishes were well prepared, with fresh, quality ingredients. We visited as part of a day trip to Windsor (only a 10 minute drive away or a 45 minutes walk), and to celebrate a family member's birthday. The staff went above, and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and to help us with the special occasion. Other reviewers have said that the service could be a little faster. Though we can see why they felt that way, when you're dining sort of in the countryside, the chill, relaxed atmosphere suits the service speed, so ensure you don't have an appointment right after your visit! (leave plenty of time) We loved the atmosphere. Rustic, but modern. We'll be visiting again. Thank you!

   We enjoyed ourselves start to finish. The staff was wonderful. The food was thoughtful and delicious. Highly recommend.

   Wonderful evening with food quality that you'd expect in a Michelin restaurant served by knowledgable and attentive staff in a low key fun pub atmosphere. Great wine and drinks list with a really nice selection of wine by the glass. And the best gluten free sourdough I have ever had.

   Great meal for us with our 3 children. Recommended by a friend whilst we visited Windsor, glad we went indeed. Staff were excellent this evening and the food was very good too - duck special and fish and chips in particular were great. Would visit again if we’re back in Windsor.

   You would be hard to please indeed if you came away from the Loch and the Tyne dissatisfied. It's not local to us, so we are occasional visitors - this time, for a relaxed Easter Sunday lunch outside (it's noisy inside). The signature bread and chicken butter is irresistible and only improved by the addition of a chicken gravy for dipping. Everything else we had - a steak, a beetroot salad, tarte tatin - was expertly sourced, accurately cooked and wholly devoured. The wine list is a joy to read, albeit not to pay for - though none of these prices are out of line for the quality of what's in the glass. Service, under George's aimiably eagle eye, is welcoming and efficient. I wish we lived around the corner...
