Our server was kind and knowledgeable. The food was great and the prices are reasonable! Had a great Father's Day dinner for my husband.
Not the best hospitality and expensive for what’s on the menu.
We were here for brunch and loved the brunch menu. Very reasonably priced included a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa. One of the group ordered a crispy chicken dish and he said it was terrific, worth coming back for.
The Local has been my favorite place to eat for several years. The food is always fresh and delicious. I am treated like royalty there. I love Devin as he knows my order and I never have to wait long for my food.

Enjoyed dinner for two on a week night. As usual, the service, food and drinks were good. The menu is somewhat limited, but is well prepared and delicious.
While menu is good, service is very hit or miss.. so hard to recommend to most.
Good basic menu with lots of interesting items. Not your typical pub fare. Great service and friendly staff.
Great local (no pun intended) place. Service good and menu varied enough.
Food on the bland side, service slow and less engaged than on other visits
I had the lobster roll and the grand Cadillac margarita. Both were very good. Roll was stuffed with lobster. Service was great.
I thought it was Tuesday Taco day but not on menu. Ordered grain bowl with chicken- generous portions and delicious. Friend ordered chicken Milanese- special/ good. Other friend ordered seafood chowder- loved it
To be fair wanted to sit outside on the patio but weather was in the high 90's.....
Inside is fine but not the same ambiance as sitting outside.
Waiter fine but food just ok .
Food and service was outstanding. A little pricier than I typically like but well worth it.
We love the Local and have never been disappointed with the food. We'd love an expanded wine list. I know you have had to reduce the offerings during COVID times. Look forward to a more robust selection.
Great time, had kids with us, they had a great kids menu and it’s a big place which was nice. Would return !
Food was very good. Too dark and noisy in the main dining area
I used to go to the Local all of the time pre-pandemic. This is my first time since then. The service wasn’t good (went 30 minutes without putting in our mains because our server didn’t come check on us) and the food wasn’t good quality. My partner had the crispy chicken sesame bowl, and the rice wasn’t great as well as the chicken, which didn’t look cooked through all the way. She didn’t end up eating it. My tacos weren’t great either - really salty and over seasoned to the point where it wasn’t enjoyable. We would’ve said something to the manager who came over to check on us, but we didn’t want to come across like we were looking for free items/things taken off the bill. Overall, we won’t be coming back. But I hope they improve - I love the Local and wish them the best!
Great! Wonderful food and service!
Variety of choices from multiple cuisines. Generous portions and a great staff.
We love going to the Local- always a great time- staff and manager are always great and friendly. We’re there for lunch probably every other Friday 😊
This was our first time eating at the Local, and when we arrived, we said it was our first time and were excited to try. Then about 5 minutes later, the Host came with a plate of Brussel sprouts and chips and dip for us—what a nice surprise (and the food was excellent!) Will definitely be coming back soon!
The service was awful. The food was ok at best, and it was very expensive for what we got.
Never had a bad meal at The Local until this past yr. I understand with Covid that staffing is short. Went last night to have family dinner before our oldest goes off to the Vineyard for the summer. Seated quickly with reservation and were gracious when we brought an extra person to make our party 7 instead of 6. They told us that we would have to squeeze 4 on a side which was tight but understandable. They could have easily pushed another table together to ours. No one else sat at the four available tables to the left of us. Music was way to loud. No need for it to be that loud. We asked them to turn it down a couple times, not sure if they did. Waitress was nice but obviously very new and very forgetful. Had to ask for plates, napkins, utensils. Had to ask for the second batch of potatoes chips that we ordered. ( They were cold and stale) Had to ask for our pizza ( waitress forgot to put that in on our order) Manager took that off the bill. Vegetables ( broccoli and carrots were cold and hard) they did substitute these for us. Brussel sprouts were hard. Our baked haddock was ok to good. Way to much bread crumbs on top. Steak tips and hamburger got thumbs up from kids. $240 later with tip and we felt under whelmed. Hoping The Local gets back to the quality we grew to expect.
Didn’t get drinks until after our appetizers and our full meal? Would not have remembered if we didn’t ask. Also didn’t put outdoor seating and made us wait 20 minutes even though we were on time and requested it ahead of time. Food was good, overpriced.
There for lunch on Saturday and was a great experience. Food was very good, especially the fried pickle app! Friendly service and very efficient. Looking forward to returning again soon!
Food was great but service slow. We wanted a certain table in the sun outside but the hostess was not empowered to wipe it down. As a result we got a different table in the shadow, folks behind us in the line got the table we wanted, food and drinks way before us and we ended up waiting for ever. Not my best visit
Very enjoyable family dinner outing.
Very efficient staff.
Not very crowded.
Need heaters to sit outside on cool/windy nights.
Food was good.
Excellent food and service
We went here for the first time on Mother’s Day and had a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly, we were seated right away, our waitress came over within a few minutes, our food was served very quickly and it was delicious. My husband really liked the steak sauce and asked the manager if they sold it and he offered it to us free of charge which was very nice. I would highly recommend The Local in Wayland and will definitely be going back.
We have been here four times usually very good. We came during Covid-19 and still good. Just not this time .
Great night out! Staff were excellent and food was delicious!
Quick and clean menu with plenty of choices. Good looking drinks being created in front of our high top bar table and a manageable cross section of local craft on tap. Friendly unhurried service by all. Easy place to reach, plenty of parking which could change as more people venture out.
Friends birthday brunch on a Saturday! Everyone was so friendly the manager was super nice and checked in on us a couple times. Our server was very on top of things. The local dip sandwich is probably the best French dip I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend!
Just another great lunch at the Local!
We sat outside which was lovely. Steak tips were tough.
As always the food here is delicious, served with a professional flair as to lay-out and design. My wife's gluten-free plates are always brought out by a manager so she knows she's safe from a coeliac attack. We like the outside patio where it's safe in Covid times, but places inside are well separated, and the staff are always masked and we can see tables being wiped down. Today's lunch wasn't the greatest service...a table seated well after us was waited on first, e.g., as our waiter was nowhere to be seen, and although the manager checked with us to see how the meal was going, the waiter never did, and my iced tea was not refilled until well after I had finished my entire meal and a long time after I asked for it. They weren't that busy so not sure what was going on with our waiter, but this is a big exception to the usual service.
Waitperson was lovely. Food was not good at all. Sad to try a local spot and be so disappointed..
