   Everything is slightly salty. I think it is acceptable. However, part of your chocolate cake is really salty.

   Food was very good and the value is excellent. Though all drinks were tasty, the virgin watermelon mojito did not taste or look anything like watermelon and it was more an orange mojito. Also the server got one side dish wrong (broccoli instead of fries) but it was not a big deal for our table. Service is slow but we understand it is a teaching restaurant for students at the College and we enjoyed being part of the experience. There was no option to tip but you can ask the server for an option to contribute to student scholarships. It will be better if we can contribute immediately as part of the payment process (as we'd normally add tip) so it is easier. Overall a great place for a gathering and highly recommend anyone to try it out!

   This is night and day compared to my experience last Friday. Glad to see the improvements which means the restaurant is taking customers' evaluation and complaints seriously and is quick to take the necessary steps to resolve issues. Thank you! That will surely encourage your patrons to return.

   Duck confit and the passion fruit pavlova was something I would go back for. Cafe has some good take aways as well. Would recommend and bring people from out of town here.

    The food is absolutely amazing! We had a party of 5 and each got a different dish and all were delicious and well presented. Service is a little slow, but this is due to students learning, so just have patience as the food is totally worth it!

    The service was fast and efficient this time. All food excellent - just companion's soup was lukewarm. The cauliflower side dish is amazing and the cornish hen and gravy lovely also. Loved the watermelon mohito! Will be back soon. Have recommended to many. Thank you!

    I ordered the brisket this time, expecting it is very very tender soft. A little disappointing. The beverage was good, name N.....beautiful presentation. My sister had the salmon, excellent cooked, crispy pan friend fish skin, very delicious. My dessert this time is Tiramisu in the jar, I love the generous Kalua taste. Lucy was my server that day, very pleasant. When I showed Zai my bread plate with 2 finger print/oil stain marks , she immediately replace it for me and a bow apologize. Over all, it was a pleasant lunch gathering. Before I leave, I picker up a chicken pie, 4 fish cakes, 1 cranberry scone and 3 cheeseballs home. Very enjoyable.

    Overall the food was good. The brisket was tender but on the salty side. The salmon, however, was dry a with a fishy smell. The bread, soup and deserts were very good but the coffee was terrible! I would trecommend The Local Cafe and Restaurant only for certain dishes.

    The food was tasty and well presented. A gourmet meal at a great price! It should be noted that the entrance is on the east side & that one should park in Parking lot 2, and that there is a ticket given so there are no parking fees.

    I was there with two of my friends, the minute I walked in the restaurant, I find the very comfortable with all kinds of natural day light. People greet us with a smiling face and immediately brought us to a centre table. Re command us the day special 'mussels' very politely explain the way of cooking... Love at the first sight with the open kitchen, I see the girls always spray clean the serving counter top. This kind of pandemic time... we want to see more 'measures'.... Food is so delicious, the food presentation makes people mouth watering. The tea pot set is the most impressed me, that is Le Creuset. I flat ware is kind of 18/10 I believe. They use caster iron cutie petite size container to serve you the fries. My salmon is cooked well only a little disappointed when I asked for black pepper, it didn't come in fresh grind. The dessert is very good, the tiramisu come in a jar, again its cute. Before we walk out the restaurant, we picked up an apple pie from the bakery. On the whole, we enjoy very much. Will definitely come again SOON, and enjoy again.

    Went there for lunch with my girlfriend. Food was awesome. The serving crew messed up when we sent back the salmon that was undercooked and Angela got her desert before finishing her main. The manager noticed the mistake and took Angela's meal off the bill entirely. My only real complaint about this place is the hours of operation...it is basically only a lunch spot if you live or work in the area.

    We tried the Beef Brisket and Atlantic Salmon with brussel sprouts. They are well made with good quality ingredients and splendid presentation. The dessert of my choice would be banana pudding which is an added bonus for the meal. The service under the supervision of Lore is marvelous. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends without hesitations!

    We have just discovered this little gem which is very close to us. The food would rival any posh restaurant. Everything we have eaten has been outstanding, from the home made bread to the decadent desserts. The students work very hard, and they are so much fun. We love engaging with them. If you haven’t tried the Local Cafe - GO!!!

    Yet again my experience at the Local Cafe for lunch was a great one. The menu for the Main, Side and Dessert items were varied and it was difficult to choose. The food was delicious and so well presented. Service was terrific as usual. I will be back often.

    The food was fantastic and the service amazing. I woke up craving the chicken sandwich and chocolate dessert this morning ... thinking I may have to go back before the end of the week when they change the menu. So good and so reasonably priced. There were some great salads, mains and desserts at the grab and go available for purchase on the way out - although I was so full I couldn't possibly have eaten another thing. Best value and experience in the east end without a doubt.

    It’s different experience dining from a regular restaurant. Food was good quality but both salmon and Korean bbq ribs were over cooked. They provide friendly services and Americano was good! Overall, really enjoyable and good value!

    Awesome food!  All the ingredients were seasonal and fresh. The dessert, red wine poached pear with whipped mascarpone was fantastic and had no additional cost (complimentary). It was an unbelievably good deal! Can’t wait to go back again.

    Awesome restaurant! Great to see students learning and practicing their customer service skills. The food is reasonable priced and you get a good portion. My only complaint would be the whiskey sour I ordered. It was a fairly decent size but it tasted a little watered down, like there wasn’t enough whiskey. But overall I had a great experience and I will definitely be coming back :)

    I feel $15 would be a better price point. It is a restaurant where kids are learning and is a part of their education. Coffee should be included to to practice a full A to Z experience. I would go back, but $15 should be the price for dinner and $10 for lunch. I would appreciate more variety. Overall the food was good. The students were polite. It wasn’t perfect but that’s expected. The students need to be more assertive and confident with the public.
