Great atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was great.
Stayed the weekend at Quirk for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious and service was great.
Amazing food, excellent service and great ambiance
Loved it the food, the drinks, the service - perfect!
Such a fabulous place! Amazing food and top notch service!
Very civilized in the age of Covid. Spacious with high ceilings and well spaced tables that made me feel comfortable regarding transmission risk. Limited menu, but tasty options with many alternatives for vegetarians despite menu size. Definitely enjoyed our night out. Beautiful space and attentive service.
Great friendly service!
We had our anniversary dinner here. Food was delicious and service was even better! Great wine choices too!
One of my favorite places to gather! Great atmosphere, menu, and service. Excellent covid protocols
Loved my time at the Lobby Bar. I believe our waitress was also the bartender and the drinks she made were amazing! It was quiet, and had a really welcoming vibe. Will definitely go back!
I love this “Quirky” hotel and the people are really nice and make you feel at home. The decor is really nice and the restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. One of the nicest establishments in the area.
Perfect place to celebrate my friend’s birthday! It’s gorgeous and brunch was fantastic.
Delicious and excellent service. Loved the atmosphere.
It was lovely ambience, and the food was yummy! The movie on the ceiling, an Amazing touch!
Christmas brunch with the immediate family.
Food was outstanding. The quirk is our favorite place in Richmond!
Great service and very yummy food! The ambiance was a bit subdued but, for a quiet and relaxing brunch, it was great. Would definitely return again
Our first Christmas Eve without children.
We had an amazing dinner at The Lobby Bar on Christmas Eve. The food was excellent. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was festive. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous hotel setting. Delicious food. Highly recommend.
The service was good and the food was okay. It is a pretty hectic place with two entrances. People mill around and talk. The eating area is in the middle of the thoroughfare to the hotel rooms/elevator.
Ambiance, décor and service: OUTSTANDING.
Menu: Margaritas, pimento cheese, Broccolini and fries were amazing. Squash and arancini I would pass...
Overall amazing, highly recommend.
Boozy Santa brunch
We truly enjoyed the service and the Santa was amazing!!! What a great experience for our children, especially to see an African American Santa... thank you Quirk!!
The brunch frittata was delicious! We always have great service and a fabulous experience at Quirk!
Unbelievable experience. All the way around. Dinner and brunch.
The polenta was amazing. Service was great and very welcoming experience.
Great concept, great food and drinks. We love the walnut ice cream so much that we ordered it twice.
Thank you again.
We went to Lobby Bar for our Thanksgiving dinner/Honeymoon and the staff was SO friendly and even gave us champagne to celebrate our nuptials. The food and cocktails were fantastic and the ambiance was amazing as well. 5 stars across the board!
Lovely, unique, spacious, quiet
The food was undercooked but the service was good.
The food was good. The service was excellent. The outdoor seating/table was dirty; dirty enough that when we wiped down the table with our napkins there was black residue like maybe someone had just potted plants or birds had been on it.
The pork was amazing and beet hummus was even better!
Our third visit in a brief period and we completed tasting most of the menu items. Top wine and cocktails. All the food we had tonight was well prepared, unique, and delicious. The atmosphere is energetic and uplifting. The service is professional, prompt, and friendly. A couple of drives around the block and we were able to find on-street parking within about a two-block walk. We recently noticed the menu has changed quite a bit, so Chef keeps it fresh with a wide variety. Can't wait to try the latest dishes. We highly recommend The Lobby Bar and will return.
Really nice and cute but the food isn’t all that tbh
In keeping with the tapas-style, we ordered several ‘indulge’ dishes that were served simultaneously. The sumac onion focaccia was marvelous, consisting of just the right amount of bread and unique savory flavors—one of the best focaccia dishes we’ve had. The caramelized Gnudi with mushrooms, black garlic, parmesan cream, and tobacco onions was as delicious, rich, satisfying, and as exciting as it proclaims. The fried rock shrimp nestled in harissa aioli, topped with shallots and dill, was a dish that I didn’t relish, but dining companion enjoyed it. To me, the shrimp didn’t seem fresh tasting and were not a crispy contrast to the creamy aioli, which didn’t have as much flavor as its appearance suggested. We reordered two of our favorite dishes from the last meal, the marinated olives, and provolone pimento dip. The olives were not served as hot, were very firm and fleshy, and not nearly as roasted, so they did not absorb as much of the magnificent marinade and herb flavor as the first visit iteration. We agreed they were more typical olives in oil bar fare, and we preferred the more interesting earlier version. The provolone pimento dip was again outstanding and delicious, though we noticed visually the crackers didn’t have the dark, firm, shiny finish and lacked the bene seeds. Chef excels at layering seasoning, texture, and infusing bold flavor profiles, and we can’t wait to try even more of the diverse menu. Quirky, pun intended, yet familiar in the best way imaginable.
They had a full house, and the service was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. It was nice to see familiar faces that have been there for some time. It also made for a very energetic vibe with rooftop guests, hotel guests, and dining room guests sharing the same space. Fantastic for people watching. The tapas-style reimaging fits the vibe very well.
The Quirk hotel’s lobby is lined on two sides with huge windows that amalgamates a huge freeform dining room, so social distancing is more than adequate and instills a safe feeling. The soaring white ceiling features a movie playing without sound that is innovative and complementary to the experience. There are a couple of small speakers for the large space, one too close to our table, which features a notably chic soundtrack. This colossal space merits a pro designed music system and acoustic dampening that would improve the dining experience. The open, clean, straightforward aesthetic of white, pink, and gray pairs well with the hotel vibe and food.
We started with a quality sauvignon blanc, Nebbiolo, and cabernet that were easy drinking. The juicy, tender olives are marinated and roasted in orange zest, rosemary, Thai chili, and served warm. One of the best olive dishes we’ve had! Another standout was the imaginative aged provolone pimento dip served with wafer-thin crunchy house-made dill and benne seed crackers that were delicious. The grilled octopus was a tasty, beautiful, and colorful dish. The near entrée sized Italian Autumn Olive Farms pulled pork was seasoned to piquancy and overlaid by a copious leopard crust of aged Parmesan and thinly sliced, crispy grilled house-made sourdough bread. The food is a recent thoughtful transformation from the former concept that was also incredibly good. The menu lends itself to quick bites, sharing, sampling, and we can’t wait to try more on the next visit. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive.
We were able to snag one of the very few, free for two hours, on-street parallel parking spaces just over a block away. Private pay lots are also located nearby. We were offered small paper menu copies that were a bit more difficult to read than digital menus. There are Quirk website and OpenTable website menus, with a few variations among each, and were unable to find a complete menu online that includes beverages.
Wonderful tapas menu with many diverse options. The roasted cauliflower is delicious. Service was impeccable. 1st time enjoying a VA winery Chardonnay...surprisingly lovely.
We had a wonderful evening at the Lobby Bar. The setting was beautiful and the service was amazing. We tried five different small plates and they were all good. Our favorites were the rock shrimp and Italian pulled pork.
Love the new Lobby Bar! The Quirk finally has a restaurant that pairs well with its chic vibe. Our dinner was delicious. My friend and I spilt several small plates. Highly recommend the hummus and focaccia. The spaced out tables are very COVID friendly and staff quick and attentive. Looking forward to going back!
We love dining at the Quirk Hotel. We were disappointed this time as we called ahead and were told only the restaurant name changed and not the menu. When we were handed a menu we quickly learned it was all tapas (small plates). In order to feed my hungry boys I had to order extra dishes to share. They were good, but not exceptional. I felt it was a bit overpriced as well. The staff, waiters, ambience are all still above par. So it was not a total wash. I forgot to ask if the menu is the same for lunch. If it’s their old menu I would return in a heartbeat. Best wishes to all who enjoy tapas!
