Had a lovely time here with my mother while she was in town. Quite an excellent way to spend the afternoon visiting!
Lovely tea but very pricey
Fantastic service. High tea was great
Anthony, out server made our experience even more enjoyable. Kudos to great service!
Very small amount of food! Would come more often but very expensive. Ambience is wonderful!
Friendly and top notch service. Tea was delicious.
Service was poor. We waited almost 30 minutes for our first refill on tea, and the pot had become cold and overstepped. The waiter dropped a knife full of clotted cream and preserves on my dress and the entire recovery was “are you okay?”. No towel, no offer to make it right. The food was... not good, obviously pre-made. Macarons were soggy, many of the other pastries and sandwiches were soaked through their bottom layer. Tea menu was very limited — no lapsang souchon, for example. Room was beautiful and the harpist was excellent.
The afternoon tea in the Living Room is a very elegant affair and during the holidays, it is very festive. One feels like they are transported to a fine tea room in London or other European city. The food excellent—The scones were warm and very tasty with lemon curd. The tea sandwiches and desserts yummy! We choose the highest priced option and did not regret the added cost. It was a memorable way to celebrate the holidays with good friends. The only disappointment is the harpist does not play at noon—only at the later reservation times in the afternoon.
This has become a tradition for my daughters and I to have a holiday tea at the Peninsula and it never fails to disappoint. Such wonderful, attentive service, the scones are always a favorite, the sandwiches are beautifully presented and taste even better, and the desserts are a wonderful finish to our holiday tradition. The variety of teas is always enjoyable as we share a cup together . A wonderful way to spend time with friends and family having great conversation at the Living Room at the Peninsula.
Great place for afternoon tea. My daughter and I go for a Holiday Tea every year and the Peninsula was one of the top spots. Make sure you have reservations, it is a small intimate place, we saw many guest that were not able to be accommodated as a walk-in.
We were offered refills on our drinks. We had the $92 high tea. What we weren’t aware of was the $78 extra charge. I think it should of been asked if it was okay because the tea was expensive for 3 but that extra charge really was upsetting. This was my second visit in the last 3 months. And I don’t think I will be returning due to this. Thank you
The first moment that you walk in you are transported to an elegant, peaceful place. The service is impeccable, the food is out of this world and the tea selection has something for almost everyone. I personally would have liked a tea with a cocoa or chocolate flavoring, but had the vanilla and it was amazing!
the afternoon tea is amazing here. feels just like high tea in london.
The afternoon tea was first class. It's a little bit pricey, but well worth it!!!
For my sister’s birthday. It was a great experience and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Thanks for the excellent service!
Came for tea to celebrate my mom’s 65th birthday. What an elegant treat! Service was fantastic, the server never made us feel rushed and we were able to enjoy a nice afternoon.
A must if looking for an elegant afternoon tea. We were treated royally and the harpist was fantastic. The food was amazing as well and the ambiance just lovely.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The entire set up was very nice and elegant! Highly recommend for special occasion such as baby shower.
Afternoon tea at The Living Room at The Peninsula Beverly Hills was beautiful. The service was excellent. Afternoon tea began with fresh strawberries and cream and a glass of either sparkling wine or sparkling cider (non alcoholic). There was a nice selection of tea to choose from including black, green, and herbal teas. The tea was served at the perfect temperature and the signature tea, the Belvedere, was excellent. The sandwiches were all wonderfully flavorful, especially the curried chicken. The scones were served warm with ample quantities of Devonshire cream and delicious lemon curd. There were also tasty strawberry and blackberry jams. The desserts were beautiful but had very mild flavors. The harpist was very enjoyable but unfortunately there were several louder groups seated near us which made it harder to hear. Overall, we were impressed by the excellent staff, the delicious lemon curd, the tasty sandwiches, and the presentation.
The Living Room at the Peninsula Hotel is a lovely spot for afternoon tea. It resembles a actual living room It was so nice to be able to talk with my friends without loud noise. The actual tea that I drank was the best ever.
Great high tea. Must please make it longer than 2 hours long.
Wonderful experience!!! Everything from the decor to the service was impeccable!!! We will definitely be back! Such a special place!!
The peninsula tea always delightful and relaxing. I took my cousin for tea for her birthday and ordered the imperial service. She was thrilled and so excited to attend her first high tea. Ambiance, decor, service, presentation all 💯 % spot on. I’m taking another friend in a few weeks!
High tea was beautiful! I highly recommend it.
it's a good place to meet the friend.nice place and high class afternoon tea room.
It was so great! I would like to go again.
Top notch service, delicious tea sandwiches and desserts. Beautiful tea room with harpist playing. Great for a girls afternoon. Pricey but worth it!
Well besides my check being so over charged, no real apology, I guess if you are indulging in tea on your own you get left by the wayside, I felt forgotten and overlooked, it was my birthday and I wanted to feel special, no such attempt was made. The savories (tea sandwiches ) were amazing, as were the scones and Pear Caramel Tea, the rest of the tea service just could not hold up.
Had the best time! Got dressed up like proper ladies with my girlfriends. We really loved the experience.
Another wonderful lunch and tea at The Peninsula, celebrating my daughter’s birthday. We will be back again soon! Thank you!
I went for my birthday - we had everyone wear hats and one of my friends even brought a life size teddy bear that we had sit at our table. Everyone was very lovely and absolutely played along.
I frequent teahouses often and this was by far a very elegant and classy affair. Simply exquisite and so looking forward to returning very soon.
Shared a mother daughter afternoon together. Had a table next to the harpist. Lovely tea time at 2:30.
What a lovely experience. A class act: service is exceptional, sandwiches and sweets were very high quality. Good tea. Definitely pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
We celebrated a milestone birthday and enjoyed the whole experience. The fruit, sandwiches and pastries were all fresh and tasty, and included warm scones, jam, strawberries, creams, jams, sandwiches, pastries and more. The server was attentive, and packed up our extra goodies to enjoy later. The harpist was a nice addition and added to the ambience.
Good for dating, celebrating and hang out.
The living room gets it 100% right ..you start with champagne ,fresh strawberries and cream and select your Tea ...scones, tiny gourmet sandwiches and cakes follow - each a price of art ! with service that is above and beyond - You don’t pour your own tea here the attentive staff spoil you at every turn ..all with the sound of the harp ....heaven for a few hours with friends ..this is a special treat you will remember forever
The afternoon tea was amazing and Caroline, the manager was very welcoming and friendly! They all paid attention to us and we had a wonderful time
Decent high tea, not particularly amazing
Food is great and service was excellent
