The Little Onion Mexican Restaurant
Little Onion Mexican Restaurant offers authentic Mexican cuisine. The restaurant's color décor contributes to its bright and beautiful ambience. The family-friendly environment is suitable for friends and family gatherings. The restaurant offers a discount of $5 on a bill of $30 to its customers, who check in on Facebook. The friendly staff working at Little Onion suggests great recommendations.
The restaurant's Mexican Blackened Fish with a creamy cilantro is its specialty. The signature Taco and Tamale is served with rice and beans. Taquitos and flautas are served in party platters. The bar at Little Onion serves refreshing margaritas and delicious wines.
Still a little pricey. A Tostada for 15.00? I know it comes with rice and beans, but damn ya'll. :)
Julie and Miguel were outstanding!!
Great food and friendly atmosphere. And always fast so we can get back to the office in a timely manner at lunch time. One of my favorites!
If you want authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price this is the place. The Sunday brunch offerings are delicious as well.
We took friends from out of state here. Good food, service and friendly atmosphere.
The food was soo delicious and the service was fast. Our waitress had a beautiful smile and was attentive. A+ service with great food!
No parking, rundown restaurant, food was mediocre at best, & service was extremely slow or not present.
Food was delicious and had some kick to it! The meat in everything we had was so well flavored and wasn’t dried out which can tend to happen with some dishes at other Mexican restaurants. Server was nice and prompt with food and checking in with us. I’d be pleased to go back!!
Great food and always outstanding service!
Great food and incredible service! Bring your appetite! The portions are HUGE!!
I celebrated my birthday with my family and the seating on the loft was great. The food was delicious and everyone in my group was happy. The servers were great and very friendly. Thank you Little Onion Restaurant for making my birthday celebration memorable.
Family owned, quaint place... been around forever. Vet good, authentic mMexican food. Burritos are huge, very good salsa and fajitas are delicious.
The food was very “eh” to not very good. Overall it was bland and not worth the higher than average cost.
Very decent Mexican food. Busy place during lunch time. Menu has many options. Friendly service.
Based on my most recent experience, I probably will not go back again. My prior experience was better. But, this time the entire experience was disappointing. I really like carnitas and prior reviews about the carnitas was positive, so I tried them. It was over cooked and dry. Their margaritas were weak. Service was sporadic and she seemed to always be distracted with conversations she was holding with coworkers or a boy from a family in an adjacent booth. Never checked on my meal and took forever to get a check and pay the bill. The restaurant has older tables and facilities that show the wear of time. Long overdue for a facelift. I could easily overlook the surroundings if the food and service were better.
Made this reservation with instructions saying it was a surprise party that three people would be coming and then the rest would come, but again it was a surprise.
Very disappointed that these instructions were not read as the surprise was ruined. Management should go over reservations with employees before service.
Another person in the party made a later reservation, but even so, it should be treated as a separate party and not have interfered with this reservation as it was placed separate.
We appreciate eventually being set up correctly, but we feel like this was handled poorly.
But we always the the food and our server was great.
The Little Onion is great for lunch or dinner with friends. The food is moderately priced and the portions are large.
Small ooen space. Sat close to front door.
Could hear everyone’s conversations. Too noisy for me.
Husband, ground beef burrito.
Me, carnitas plate.
Both meals had multiple pieces of bay leaf pieces. Not something one usually finds edible.
Fresh food with great portion sizes. Their salsa has a great flavor with the perfect amount of spice. A new favorite place to eat.
Food was good. Immediately seated and served warm chips and great salsa. The food was made quick and was delicious.
Sunday brunch was delicious. Friendly atmosphere.
The pork cartnitas taco plate was delicious! Huge pieces of pork cooked just right! Really enjoyed it.
First our waitress seemed as if she was not taking us serious. As if she had better patrons to serve on. I clearly asked for a Carne Asada wet butrito. This place is known to sell alot of pork, not my specialty.
She brings me a wet burrito of pork. So i say excuse me i asked carne asada.
She replied oh i thought you ordered El Mexicano. Lady pay f....attention when people are ordering. The enchiladas suizas are the worst ive seen. Not authentic at all.
Drinks barely had alcohol in them. Ruined dinner.
A great little find! Terrific, friendly service. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Tasty Cadillac margarita!
Good food, drinks, and service!
Great food, great value. We'd definitely go back again.
Always fresh, tasty food. Quick attentive service. Love their chicken fajitas and my husband always gets a combo plate.
Had a casual meet-up with a good friend. This restaurant was near the 55 freeway, which I needed to hop on at a certain time. The service was friendly. The food was good. The drinks were good too. Will definitely be back.
Food was Delicious, Service was fast! We were on our way to a show at the South Coast Performing Arts Center. We will definitely come back!!
Very good attentive service!! Good margs, great chips lovely shrimp enchiladas!!
Very great overall. Good food and service
