The décor lives up to its reputation as a romantic restaurant. However, the real attraction is the food, with the executive chef doing a superb job of matching flavors and textures in all the dishes we tried. Food presentation is also excellent. The restaurant does showcase higher-end wines. The only minor quibble is the high noise level, but that is a function of the clientele and not the establishment. Despite that, the background music could still be heard at an appropriate level, a testament to the exceptional quality of the sound system. Overall, a very, very nice dinner experience.

I love this restaurant - the ambiance is amazing. However, the decision to dine there this week was predicated on their Monday night prix fixe Moroccan dinner. I checked the web site after the first of the year to make sure that that dinner was still offered. When we were at the restaurant we were told that they no longer offered that option. I was very disappointed and rather upset that the information was still on the website.

Went to little door based on many recommendations. The ambiance of the bar and dining room was excellent as was the food. However, the waitress was one of the worst we have ever had. She didn’t explain anything about the menu, could hardly be bothered to take drink orders and seemed totally distracted. Really liked the restaurant and would try it again but this experience was not great.

The Little Door lived up to its reputation as the most romantic restaurant in LA! My husband & I had a lovely dining experience here on a recent Friday evening. We entered the space which had outdoor seating in the front with a bar off to the side, then inside with a dining room, & we were seating in the back room area which was lovely. It felt like 3 different restaurants, but all with the same chic, elegant, cozy, romantic vibe. We had a very nice, capable, & professional waiter who helped make the experience perfect. The food came out perfectly as ordered and the drinks were delicious. The entire experience was PERFECT! I would HIGHLY recommend dining here & I would most certainly go again when I'm back in LA. It's a MUST!!!

We started with the seared foie gras - it was amazing. The chestnuts with the foie gras was wonderful. ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the venison - loved both. Every bite tasted different. It's a little pricey for a weekly dinner date, but certainly worth it once in a while. Would come back here again.

I chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner since it’s “the most romantic restaurant” in LA. It wasn’t too bad, but I guess since this was a special occassion, the overall dinner experience just didn’t live up to the hype.

Our reservation was at 7:30. I figured we would have a couple of happy hour cocktails next door beforehand. Unfortunately, Little Next Door’s happy hour changed it’s time and ended at 6pm. That news was a bit of a bummer. But we didn’t let it damper our night and instead had a few margaritas at the lively bar further next door. We showed up to our reservations a few minutes early. The hostess greeted us with a “happy anniversary”! It was sweet and it made us feel special. Then we were escorted to our table and things went a little downhill from there.

Our table had to be the worst, and must I add least romantic, table in the restaurant. I was literally facing the service station. I could hear the service talking and rustling back and forth throughout the evening. I wanted to ask to move but I hesitated, and once the waitress popped up and lifelessly took our drink order, I immediately regretted not speaking up. I don’t remember many details of the rest of the evening since I was so annoyed with everything. The drink I ordered was not great. It was a mixed cocktail with tequila and aperol. Even that couldn’t pick up my spirits. The busboy and server assistant were way more attentive and had way more personality than our waitress. I couldn’t even bother with desert. These two ladies that sat down nearby were also talking very loudly. We downed our espressos and asked for the check.

On a good note, the food was great! We ordered the grilled squid for appetizer. My fiancée ordered the filet and I ordered the artic char. I didn’t finish my dish though. I was really hoping to order several additional small plates and accompany them with many glasses of wine. The ambience was just off that night.

I made a reservation here on behalf of my parents so that they could celebrate their 25th anniversary. The manager was an absolute angel and set everything up exactly to my requests, and my parents have not stopped gushing about how wonderful and romantic their experience was. I would highly, highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you enjoy French fare and a romantic experience, I cannot sing it enough praises!

A nice French restaurant with a Mediterranean twist. We went with another couple last week and had a very enjoyable night. The vibe is nice/casual and feels like you are not in Los Angeles but more like the south of France. Good ambient music and cool decor. We dine out a lot with our friends and always share our food "family style" and this was very good for that. We started with the foie gras duo, the seared foie gras, and the octopus appetizers. The foie gras duo was the big hit with one piece of cold foie gras and a cold ramican of foie gras with a creme brûlée topping. It sounded odd but it was our favorite. The seared foie gras was nicely done on a bed of faro with a delicious sauce. The octopus was average but not bad. With every chef in LA offering grilled octopus it has to be a real standout to get our attention. For the entrees we had a ribeye, filet mignon, venison medallion, and the Arctic char. All were very good but not jaw dropping. My wife's filet mignon was a little cold and they offered to reheat it but she said the taste of it was still good and not to reheat it so that we would all be eating at the same time. The manager was very gracious and later comped our desserts and corkage. For deserts we had the creme brûlée, pot de creme, and the apple tart. All were properly done and good choices. After dinner they also brought a pot of hot Moroccan tea which was a perfect finish to the meal. Our server was professional and prompt when needed. All in all a great experience. I'm sure we'll be back again.

This place was great. Loved the food and the ambiance. The only thing that made me give 4star to this place is because I have mentioned that it was my husband’s b day and I expected that at least they put a candle on our desert. I was a little turned off by that.

Great spot with very good food. The place is really nice inside. Great for evening dining. The only gripe I have is that you may have to wait notwithstanding having made a reservation and the tables are placed so close together (when dining for two) that you cannot help but overhear the conversation next to you. Not good. Other than that, the place is great.

restaurant is situated in a great spot with beautifully decorated patio and indoors. I felt like the food was great(had the scallops and my family wife had the filet) the French wine selection was just right. It's not the quietest place though if you're looking for that but the noise level is just right. Service was great and the front receptionist was very accommodating when we asked to move.

Such a fantastic place we visit whenever we are in town. Expensive but it is special. Food good as expected This time around we we're constantly pressured to take our reserved table and leave the bar. Even though it was not time yet. (Still had 12 min left till rest time of 8:30) they could not understand we had friends meet us just for drinks(at the bar) and others joining for Dinner (at the table) I was constantly interrupted to please move to the table, by 3 different people, I finally did and sat alone until my guests were finished with thier drinks at the bar. Real bummer.
