Awesome as always!
Great night, as always.
Everything from the service to the food and the ambience was amazing! Will cone back for sure.
The tables are little too close together so you can hear the tables conversation next to you very easily. You may want to be specific in asking for a table if you want the evening to have a little bit more of an intimate setting. The ambiance and service was amazing but the food was lacking some flavor. Overall we had a great experience.
My husband and I had a great time. It was very Romantic and the coconut cheesecake was delicious!
Hosts very disorganized
Too cold outside
Too dark inside
Restaurant was amazing. Decor was on point, only gripe I have about it was where we were seated. The table we were sat at was too close to the next party over and we could hear everything they were saying and vice versa. Overall, a great place to have a nice romantic dinner if you don't mind listening in to other people's conversations.
I came here for my birthday dinner and had such a wonderful experience. The vibe and decor was worth it in itself. It was gorgeous, I cannot wait to return!
Food and service are always excellent. The music was thumping and a little disconcerting. The most annoying part of the evening was the large party celebrating a 3 year old’s birthday right beside us. The kids eventually calmed down, but the light from playing on their parent’s phones and iPads was distracting. It look away from the overall experience. Some places are not meant for children.
The Little Door is always beautiful. They showed us to our table right away but the waiter seemed in a hurry for us to “get on with it”. The food was tasty and we had a nice evening except we would have preferred not to feel rushed.
Incredibly SLOW service- waited an hour for an appetizer when the restaurant was nearly empty- another 45 minutes for the check. Food mediocre for the cost.
Absolutely my favorite in LA!!!
Great food, great Ambiance. Great service. This is a must do.
The service and food was awful. Ambiance was the only thing going for this place. I wouldn’t return and suggest not to waste your time and money here. I’m not sure what all the good reviews are for.
Phenomenal service and amazing food!
I took my wife for her birthday. A beautiful space with excellent food. The staff was very professional. They were attentive but not intrusive. We dine out very frequently and this was our favorite experience in a long time.
Absolutely charming, utterly romantic restaurant. The food is good but uneven. It’s a bit pricey but one must pay for romance.
This place has a great vibe, incredible food, romantic and lovely. Perfect for dates and special occasions. Romantic vibe but I would go there with a friend for sure, just to treat ourselves. I'm usually disappointed by desserts but here was incredible. Leave it to the French to make food amazing! :)
Adorable setting and good food largely spoiled by loud, club-style music. Sitting across a small table from one another, my wife and I struggled to communicate over the droning sound.
Was a very romantic ambience but food was small portions and a little over cooked
Had heard about and read about the little door for months- our Uber driver was impressed that we had come up from San Diego just to go to dinner at the Little Door- said we wouldnt be disappointed. He was wrong!
Ambiance was, as advertized, romantic- it has great decor and environs, but halfway through the evening they seemed to decided that romantic equated with dark and dimmed the lights so much it made it difficult to see and enjoy the food even let alone ones companion.
Our waiter was quirky and overall the service was quite disappointing- we ordered drinks and a starter plate of cheese, and appetizers (listed separately on the menu)- all were brought together. I had always thought the concept of a starter was to start the meal but apparently I was wrong. Anyway, it gave the impression of them trying to rush us through what we were looking forward to, a leisurely romantic dinner. The cheese plate was good- its hard to mess up cheese! The appetizers were very good. Main dishes- one, the scallops was excellent, the other, the Sea Bass was horrible- cant imagine how a respectable kitchen could send out Sea Bass like that. Dessert was interesting to say the least. The waiter asked my companion what she wanted and totally ignored me- the result- she got dessert and I was left to ask whether the waiter thought I had already eaten too much- eventually he was convinced to bring me dessert- not bad, but not good. Gin martini to start with was ordinary- certainly not matching the price list of the establishment- wine by the glass selections seemed OK but the wine was not particularly good.
Overall, some good points but many things not worthy of a high end establishment- definitely not wrth the money. The best part of the evening was we stayed at the nearby Farmers Daughter hotel, a really great boutique hotel with lots of character and personality- the best meal we had on the trip was breakfast at TART, the hotel restaurant.
Absolutely Love this place. Our waiter was not very good though. Young and unseasoned. Luke warm, distracted, we didn’t feel cared for. I had Rib-eye and my wife had lamb but when the dishes were served we were left with basic butter knives . Half-way through the meal, an assistant server noticed and brought over actual steak knives. The ambiance is absolutely magical and the manager is fantastic—often stepping in for our disappearing and aloof waiter. Food quality was excellent.
Hands down, the most beautiful patio dining in Los Angeles! Food was excellent but what kicked it up a notch was the extra-ordinary service. We were celebrating a "big" birthday and brought a couple very extravagant wines. Service truly exceptional!!! Would highly recommend for any occasion or just for fun!!
Little door it has been a while - so good to see things have not changed - wonderful food great ambiance - we will be back again soon
One of the most romantic spots you'll find! Excellent food that tastes far more expensive than your bill will end up being. Great wine selections if you're into that, and an eclectic list of whiskeys, rums, vodkas, etc. Not your average steak place--and that's a good thing! Highly recommend, always a positive experience.
I have been at this place 3 times. I know I would like to sit outside. Their preference is to seat you inside for some reason so unless i ask when I am there they would take us always to the back indoor area which is a bit too dark and too cramp! Food is good. Service can be better which starts with the hosts. Oh tables were too close so the guy next to me as he sat he spiled my glass of water.
Food was excellent. Rich with flavor. Get the sea bass! Oh boy!!!!
Perfect entry with Natalee at the desk. She’s the best. Meeting her for the first time. 👍🏽
Food was great. Had friends in from out of town, foodies, they really enjoyed it.
Artist in the house, yes, entertainment! All good.
Amazing start to finish.
Great overall, I wish they had been able to accommodate a nicer table since it was a special occasion and I asked a week in advance.
The Little Door was hard to find, however once you locate it and enter the place, you're transferred into a romantic dark setting that puts you in awe. The atmosphere and ambiance was great for dinner dates and I was truly pleased with our waitress Kristen.
The food was great and my overall experience was I will be back again and because of this I have also recommended this place to friends also. We drove from Rancho Cucamonga and it was worth it.
Quality cheese board and good food. Ambiance would be a 5 if we weren’t next to a screaming infant. Seems like a place that could use a minimum age.
This was my wife and I's first trip to LA and we celebrated my 50th birthday with a romantic birthday meal at the Open Door. Food was great with a very great, romantic atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any couple looking to get away and pamper yourself.
There were 4 of us and the forgot one main dish. What person was sat there the entire time with no food while
Everyone else ate... then they are alone!! Such poor form
Very intimate and cozy ambiance and the food was phenomenal and cocktails very refreshing
Even better than the week before
The food was excellent and well presented. The only complaint I had was the level of noise which, combined with the totally unnecessary music, made any chance of conversation almost impossible. Perhaps a table not in the main room would have been more to my liking (although the ambiance is less attractive) in addition to dinner at 6 rather than 7, or maybe a weekday I realize that many people like the loud energy of a restaurant, but I'm not one of them. Still, I'd be happy to try it again due to the quality of the food.
Great ambiance, service and delicious food. Table placement encourages quiet conversation. Decor creates a feeling of dining in a hidden grotto, attended by private staff only when you need something. A delightful find behind a little door.
Very special occasion was made very special. Thanks
