The Little Door continues to delight. It retains all of the qualities that have made it one of the finest and most romantic dining experiences in Los Angeles for more than a decade, while consistently incorporating in new touches. It helps that they have the warmest and most knowledge staff in the city. It was a perfect night!
My new favorite place! Absolutely adorable. Everyone is so nice hear... the people working, the people dining. I can’t wait to come back!
This is the best place in LA. Hands down my favorite.
Never disappoints. A slice of magic behind the Little Door
Service was excellent and the Valentine's day ambience was beautiful. I just wasn't completely impressed by the food.
Had an amazing experience at The Little Door! It was a special occasion & the hostess was kind enough to give my fiance and I one of the best tables in the restaurant. Our server was attentive but not overbearing & let us take our time. Food was insanely good- not a crumb left on our plates. The Little Door is a special, romantic restaurant - thank you for taking such good care of us :)
Incredible experience! The food was amazing and the staff was so attentive.
This was an early Valentine’s dinner. Thank had seen pictures on a friend’s Facebook page and thought it looked very inviting inside. Sure enough it is! Absolutely beautiful. The valet was quick and efficient. My only criticism of the entire night was the inevitable and tiresome attempt to seat us in a separate room, away from the patio with Twinkly lights and roses hanging from the ceiling. There was, I think, one part in the restaurant when we arrived at 7 pm, but the attempt was still made. For any restaurateur caring to listen this is exactly the wrong kind of vibe to create at the very beginning of the experience and I cannot see that it’s worth it. They attempted to sit two other couples at the same bad table after we moved, and failed both times. Why bother?
Anyway, everything else was positive. The waiter was very pleasant and had just the right relaxed but respectful approach. He cane to our table immediately and we had water and the opportunity to order an appetizer within a minute, which was very nice. We ordered the scallop appetizer, which was delicious. The wine list is exceptional. We both wanted lamb and ordered the same dish, with couscous, lamb, chicken and sausage. We both thought it was excellent. Creme brûlée for dessert.
The servers were extremely nice. The ambience is among the best I’ve ever experienced, and I would definitely go again and recommend to others.
Absolutely amazing food and ambiance. We will be back!!!!
What a delight!! The restaurant is a pleasant surprise behind 2 wooden doors! The patio is a wonderland of trellised vines and roses. We were greeted and sat on the patio. The menu was a wonderful array of specialties that could be a la carte , or they did have prix fix menu which was a choice of appetizer, I choose the goat cheese tart with beets,,,delicious! and choice of entrees, i had the sea bass...again a delicious meal! the deserts was just as good! Chocolate lava cake..............a really nice dinner!
Amazing restaurant, super friendly staff overall I would choose little door again and again we absolutely loved it! The food was amazing!
We had Dine LA menu, the portions were generous and very good. Love the ambiance, but it was pretty noisy. Hard to carry on a conversation in patio area.
The food and ambiance was amazing! I am still dreaming about my pasta!
Celebrated my partner’s birthday and The Little Door was a great treat! The appetizers and desserts are amazing! So amazing that, by comparison, our entree fell short but still delicious nonetheless. Our server and wait staff were all very kind and hospitable. And the enthusiasm of the hosts made the entire evening very special!
We had reservations, and were there on time. It took 20 minutes to seat us because of dine la. Service was extremely slow to take our order, it took another 20 minutes just to take our order. The appetizers were delicious, the Mains and dessert were ok from the DineLA menu. i would not recommend those items and just go with the regular menu items.
The table next to us had ordered before we even sat down and they didn't get their appetizers until after we got our Mains.
First impression the ambiance is amazing, great vibe. We put in our order fairly quickly. The table next to us came well after us and received their appetizer and was almost done before our waiter checked on us. He asked if we received our appetizer, we said no, and when he checked on it he realized he never put it in, which was 40 min ago. At this time we had finished our glass of wine and asked for another which he ended up comping. The food was AMAZING. All courses. However, when we got to our dessert, as we were about 75% done with it, the table next to us toppled over a candelabra onto our table where glass cups with fake tea lights fell onto my arm and another smashed my friends dessert. We didn’t want to waist food by having another one which was offered. The bill took some time to be brought to us (we had to ask for it), or the waiter was avoiding us at this point. He was a kind waiter just not attentive at all. Everything but the waiters service and the candelabra dropping on our table was AMAZING other then that. Comping just the one glass of wine each was not as satisfactory but it was a nice gesture none the less.
It's a little pricey, but it's a beautiful venue and every single dish was memorable. The service was friendly and professional, if a little slow, but they were completely full because of Dine L.A., so I'm comfortably cutting them some slack for that. We look forward to going back. BTW, Dine L.A. was good value for this restaurant, and the selections for that special menu were excellent.
Fabulous meal in a great environment. Very European
.............................................................................The Parpadelle was LIT.
Wonderful food and in such a beautiful setting!
This place is always wonderful
Everything about our experience was outstanding! We are already looking forward to going back.
Overall fantastic experience! The ambiance was spot on and the staff were very accommodating.
Dine LA week. Menu was a great sample of excellent food prepared at The Little Door. Service was superb and the ambience great for a social dinner.
The food, wine, service and ambiance were amazing! Highly recommend the octopus! It was so tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed the scallops too! You really cannot go wrong selecting from the menu. In addition to the food, the service was top notch and it was such a beautiful space!
I've been here a few times over last 15 years and it's still the same amazing romantic French flair and atmosphere. This time there was a special LA menu 3 course dining. I was pleased with the whole presentation and taste. I had the shaved brussel sprout salad, seabass with Couscous and passion creme brûlée. The brussel spout salad was a little too raw even though it did say 'shaved brussel sprouts' but something to warm it up a bit could be added. Sea bass was tasty with the couscous and veggies; also passion fruit creme brûlée was the topper. Service was elevated when they arrived with Moroccan mint tea in these old world Tea kettles served on the table. Ambiance at Little door is unbeatable with micro white lights scattered across the open air ceiling (closed top during winter months_ The feeling of sitting in the middle of a Tuscan vineyard at twilight captures your dining experience
Exquisite dinner!! Love this restaurant! The mezze starter for 2 is a must! Sea bass melted in mouth!!!
It was my wife’s birthday. We really enjoyed ourselves. Great service and food. Ambiance is grown and sexy.
Beautiful room, good food, so noisy we could only talk with the person immediately beside me. Music oppresive
One thing I think they should absolutely do is tell you when they ask"would you like a birthday dessert/" that they are going to charge you $15.00 for it - it is not a comp.
Amazing meal in an enchanting environment
Christmas Day dinner was a delightful refuge from a hectic holiday. The food was spectacular, as was the service and decor. I frankly forgot about this little gem until recently - meal highlights included lobster bisque, duck liver mousse and bacon wrapped venison.
Festive ambiance, attentive staff, excellent food choices and quality. Had a party of 6, including my daughter and partner from London. Everyone agreed The Little Door was a perfect choice for Christmas dinner. All around an excellent dining experience.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and amazing service.
It was every thing you desire on a beautiful Christmas Day. So glad we were lucky enough to get that reservation.

the food was the best part and if it weren't for that I would have had a very disappointing Christmas Eve.
We had to wait about 20mnts for our table when we had reservations at 8:45 and were very hungry. Luckily we found some chairs to sit on while waiting but it was cold by the front door? lots of wood missing. The food as I said was very good and the prix fix menu was perfect but the insane music was so inappropriate and so loud that I really almost got up and left. Near the end of our meal the music changed and it was soooo nice. I have NEVER heard this kind of dance floor incessant beat music in a lovely environment as the one I had seen on line. Hopefully we can try this place again without the music .
