Our server was fantastic, french guy. We ordered à drink twice because it never came and as soon as our server notice it was on the house. I was à little disappointed we got sat in the back behind the window as i wanted to dit in the garden but it turned out to be great because the noise lever was much better there and we could actually talk and enjoy our date!
Made a reservation in advance and we were not seated until 45 minutes after. However, the owner’s friends were whisked to their seats immediately upon entering (despite being 1 hour late for their reservation). The food was overcooked, overpriced, and lacking flavor. The only saving grace is the ambience ambience.
I was very excited about this place when I first knew about this on the internet. It was supposedly one of the most romantic restaurants in LA, so I took my BF there for a date night. The resturant itself is really nice -- perfect outdoor setting and nice lighting -- but it was much louder than I expected. The music choice is more like a night bar music and since I went on a Saturday night, it was really busy with a very high noise level. The food is okay, the roasted chicken we ordered is a bit undercooked. The service is really good. I think this place might be good for some people but not for me.
Host was very accommodating. Food was divine, drinks were delicious and service was attentive! Had a great time. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the experience, I think only for Latino employees who are more involved in serving non-English speaking customers who are Brazilian and have communication problems.
Excellent food as always. One of my favorite places to go for a romantic dinner.
My favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. The service Saturday night was somewhat slow. However, it did not change my fondness for this restaurant!
Definitely a beautiful restaurant but I thought my meal didn’t match the price tag. My fish was burned and the wine list was dominated by extravagant wines that rivaled my rent in price. In terms of wines by the glass and affordable bottles, there are only a handful to choose from. I chose the only Pinot noir available and it wasn’t great.
I guess I expected more?
I went with friends to celebrate a birthday. We all ordered different entrees. All were excellent! Service was spot on and the ambience is a delight!
How do you recommend if you were looking for a romantic intimate space with beautiful lighting great service and fantastic food!
Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I set reservations prior to our date. Upon arrival, the staff sat us in a great location so we could hear each other without having to yell (most LA restaurants!) all and all great experience, and amazing food, We will be coming back for sure!
Perfect for our anniversary. The service, the food, the drinks and atmosphere were spot on.
Very romantic and great food . Perfect for dates
Brought my GF here and it was one of the most romantic restaurants we have been to even though we have been to some amazing upscale ones. The service was superb I'm very picky about service and it was exactly what I
Should expect from a place like this if not better. The ambiance was very romantic and mysterious my Lady loved it! The food was great, wasn't blown away by the grilled Sea Bass but no complaints with it. The roasted chicken though!!!! Was AMAZING!!! Absolutely would suggest it! Only complaint with the whole place is there where no cats and cats make everything better.
I could never recommend this restaurant to anyone who values their time. Over 2 months ago, I had a reservation and gave up on it after one hour. The restaurant texted me to let me know my table was ready 85 minutes after the reservation, but we had moved one.
I gave it a second go last Saturday. We had an 8:30 reservation, and only were sat at 9:20. How is this acceptable? And we were not the only ones, there were at least 6-8 tables waiting equally as long. The front of the house is terrible. They overbook, and cannot manage. The only reason I gave this any stars was because of our waiter, who did his best to make up for this mess. He was attentive, apologetic, and did his best to save our experience. He deserves a lot of credit.
The front of the house management needs to seriously ask itself, how much longer do you think you can treat people so badly and expect them to come back?
Thank you to The Little Door for a lovely weeknight out. The food was exceptional! The best Filet Mignon I have had in years and the accompanying sauce was just the right touch! My hubby had the Salmon and savored every bite! We started with the Charcuterie, finshed with dessert, Creme Brulee (Perfection!), as well as wine. AND we did not feel stuffed at the end of the night! Not hint of food coma. Kirk took wonderful care of us!
On holidays from Ireland, looking for a cosy romantic restaurant with no notions and this is exactly what we got. The setting is stunning, food - fabulous, service - impeccable. Very intimate dining experience and couldn't recommend enough to anyone looking for a relaxed dinner in a beautiful restaurant.
Ambiance is perfect. Food was really good, 👌🏻. Thank you for making our anniversary memorable.
Good birthday dinner!
Great food, great ambiance. A little noisy but nothing too disturbing. Moderately pricey. Still had a great evening.
Ask for a table under the bougainvillea trellis - one of the most dreamy, special dinners we have ever had. Our reservation was at 6pm, noise level was perfect. When we left at 8pm, the volume in the entire place was higher - but the energy was positively fabulous
Fantastic little place! Very discreet and cozy with amazing cuisine! Heads up to the grilled octopus as an appetizer and the fillet mignon for you entreé!
Had a copule of college girls been a bit obnoxious and inconaiderate next to us, but the restaurant experience was very legit!
Wondeful atmoshphere, even better dining. Everyone loved their meals and we all ordered something different. Try it all, so tasty. AJ the Manager was delightful as well, very charming.
Excellent service, ambiance, and food!
This place was really amazing. We went there on a Saturday night, it was packed but the staff was in total control, and the food came surprisingly quick. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. We've had the goat cheese and pistachio tart (goat cheese quiche) it was warm with a soft texture, it was exquisitely delicious. Then we have the couscous Royale, the rack of lamb, and the sole. It was just perfect paired with a Riesling Alsace wine and a Saint Emilion Grand Cru... The wine list is extensive.
The chocolate molten cake was the best I've ever had, if you like strong chocolate, it's a must try.
The coconut cheesecake was also super delicious.
Food is so tasty and high quality but a tad bit over priced or they should add s bit on their portions. $55 ribeye was to die for but it was one of the smallest steaks I have ever had. Literally could have finished in 3 bites.
This is always my favorite spot! Romantic, pretty, great food and impeccable service.
I love everything about this oasis behind the beautiful wood doors. The minute you open the big double door you are transported to another land. The atmosphere, the music and the people who work there are all perfection! The menu is diverse enough for anyone and delicious!
I love this oasis in the maddening city.
The Little Door is one of my favorite "Date night" locations. My wife and I have been here a few times and always got great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend it!!!
It was my anniversary, and I mentioned that on open table and there was no acknowledgement whatsoever which was disappointing.
Great place, good food. They need to increase service levels because they are so busy.
Charming place with good food to which we have been coming periodically for years. Love the ambiance. The staff is courteous and professional. Our waiter this time was over the top great. The food is delicious, made w good quality ingredients but not over the top pretentious.
Superb service, authentic Persian cuisine with emphasis on fresh ingredients from the mezze (Mediterranean in every way) to the scrumptious rack of lamb and scallops. Very engaging staff and exceptionally friendly manager who made us feel right at home. We shall return.
Everything was AMAZING as usual at the little door. Bar Manager Michael and our waiter Oliver went above and beyond to really make the evening special. Thanks so much, we'll be back!
Beautiful setting. Great service. Good menu options.
We took a good friend for her 75th birthday........the couple had never been to the Little Door. We
all had a fantastic meal ( I always recomend the rib-eye) We ended the evening with fantastic tarts.
( one fresh peach the other fig) The ambience is always nice after dark. Our reservation was a little early (6:15) but we departed after dark. Ask for seating in the patio!
One of the best restaurants in LA. Always consistent.
Everything was amazing. Food was exceptional, waiter was so attentive. I just love this place. .
