The food, wine, service and ambiance were amazing! Highly recommend the octopus! It was so tender and flavorful. I really enjoyed the scallops too! You really cannot go wrong selecting from the menu. In addition to the food, the service was top notch and it was such a beautiful space!
I've been here a few times over last 15 years and it's still the same amazing romantic French flair and atmosphere. This time there was a special LA menu 3 course dining. I was pleased with the whole presentation and taste. I had the shaved brussel sprout salad, seabass with Couscous and passion creme brûlée. The brussel spout salad was a little too raw even though it did say 'shaved brussel sprouts' but something to warm it up a bit could be added. Sea bass was tasty with the couscous and veggies; also passion fruit creme brûlée was the topper. Service was elevated when they arrived with Moroccan mint tea in these old world Tea kettles served on the table. Ambiance at Little door is unbeatable with micro white lights scattered across the open air ceiling (closed top during winter months_ The feeling of sitting in the middle of a Tuscan vineyard at twilight captures your dining experience
Exquisite dinner!! Love this restaurant! The mezze starter for 2 is a must! Sea bass melted in mouth!!!
Beautiful room, good food, so noisy we could only talk with the person immediately beside me. Music oppresive
One thing I think they should absolutely do is tell you when they ask"would you like a birthday dessert/" that they are going to charge you $15.00 for it - it is not a comp.
Amazing meal in an enchanting environment
Christmas Day dinner was a delightful refuge from a hectic holiday. The food was spectacular, as was the service and decor. I frankly forgot about this little gem until recently - meal highlights included lobster bisque, duck liver mousse and bacon wrapped venison.
Festive ambiance, attentive staff, excellent food choices and quality. Had a party of 6, including my daughter and partner from London. Everyone agreed The Little Door was a perfect choice for Christmas dinner. All around an excellent dining experience.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere, and amazing service.
It was every thing you desire on a beautiful Christmas Day. So glad we were lucky enough to get that reservation.

the food was the best part and if it weren't for that I would have had a very disappointing Christmas Eve.
We had to wait about 20mnts for our table when we had reservations at 8:45 and were very hungry. Luckily we found some chairs to sit on while waiting but it was cold by the front door? lots of wood missing. The food as I said was very good and the prix fix menu was perfect but the insane music was so inappropriate and so loud that I really almost got up and left. Near the end of our meal the music changed and it was soooo nice. I have NEVER heard this kind of dance floor incessant beat music in a lovely environment as the one I had seen on line. Hopefully we can try this place again without the music .
Superb food in a charming space. The octopus salad, goat cheese tart, both outstanding. Always save room for the coconut cheesecake.
Best food ever especially the venison. Only hiccup was enter was served before we were done with the appetizer. Wine prices were too high with not enough non three figures priced ones.
Great food and great service. Restaurant was VERY loud. Loud music (with speakers above our table) combined with a busy full restaurant made it difficult to have a conversation.
Overall a cute and nice little place, however with a reservation at 8:15pm we were seated at the table at 8:50pm (I didn’t mention the restaurant staff but one of our friend is pregnant).
Food is good, flavorful but quite expensive for the type of dishes served.
Wine list in rush but without one great for value bottle. The price escalate very quickly for a good wine.
The most romantic setting with
Amazing food and service ...
Best place I’ve been to in LA. Best food, staff, ambience. Incredible time
My wife went here 23 years ago and loved it. We were in LA, so we decided to see if it was still great. We were not disappointed. Very cool ambiance. Friendly, attentive bartender who was able to make me something custom - I just gave him flavors I liked. Food was incredible. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh, and they are expertly prepared. Definitely a great place for dinner!
The Little Door is still a fantastic tucked away gem in LA!
Be advised, the owners have elected to try to slide an additional underhand charge to your bill, called living wage fee, which is actually just a extra tip for the kitchen. WHY DON’T THEY JUST SAY SO? With the prices they charge, they should surely be able to pay their help a fair wage, and give their guests the option to add a tip for the kitchen as they wish! First of all that was the only thing lacking. I ordered the lamb entree medium, and it arrived VERY rare! I certainly wouldn’t have tipped the kitchen for this...I truly make it better at home! We have been coming to The little Door for 25 years, and we’re celebrating our 25th anniversary. All else was good but I will now be rethinking our next visit! What a shame! BTW, my bill was over $230 and my wife and I split a starter, and the lamb dish, with 1 desert and 3 drinks total. Pay your help, and DON’T deceive your loyal guests!!!
Dinner at The Little Door was the first time in a long time when the stars aligned: Food, service, and ambiance were excellent. My husband and I enjoyed the fixe prix menu with a main course rack of lamb done perfectly. We'll be back!
A most enjoyable dinner. The restaurant is warm, inviting, not crowded or noisy. The food was spectacular and the service superb. We were not rushed, but ate at a leisurely pace. Did I mention the food was fantastic? We could not have found a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Next time we will bring family and friends to experience it as we did.
Such a gorgeous restaurant. So romantic and the food is excellent. Service is very good. We’ve been many times and its always amazing
Great ambience and service as always
I had a party of five. Most of us were delighted with our food. However, one of my daughters ate chicken and she mentioned it was not well prepared. She mentioned that being chicken breast, it needed a lot more work than just rubbing some spices on the skin. We will continue going to the restaurant because we love everything about it, but I know now chicken is out of the question.
Very romantic and cozy atmosphere. Great service from Olivier, and the entire staff. Food cooked to perfection with unique and delicious flavors. We will definitely return soon!
We had a wonderful birthday celebrating!!
Service and food was awesome!!
An extraordinary restaurant. Wonderful oasis in the middle of Los Angeles. Beautiful ambience and attentive staff
So tasty. Good magical place. Pretty lights, good area. Fun menu.
Great service and food
This is a great spot for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary! We just celebrated my friend's 35th here (with invitees ranging in age from early 30s to late 50s), and it was a big hit! The delicious food, candlelit atmosphere, and excellent service made for a wonderfully memorable event! With all the candles, indoor plants, and dark setting, this has a cool, outdoor feel even though it's indoors. Be prepared... it is pricey. If you're getting drinks, plan on $100+ per person... but for a special event, it's worth it.
The Dinner was exquisite. My partner who
had always remained silent actually enjoyed the Prosecco and Pinot Grigio. A very experience dinner, I had the most amazing mix of interactions.
We were celebrating our anniversary, told the restaurant ahead of time. Nothing was done. Waiter was very rude and unfriendly.
Beautiful classic ambiance & good good with great service : )
Good as usual, but they really need to charge the menu. It has been the same for at least five years — maybe longer.
Beautiful restaurant. Perfect for a romantic date. They made us feel extremely welcomed. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to be courteous and helpful.
Very romantic, great food and service. The appetizers were delicious and the service was impeccable
It was great!!
Everything was perfect. As soon we entered we were greeted and wished a Happy Anniversary.
Our table was very romantic and the service and food were excellent. It ended with a lovely coconut cheesecake with candle and Happy Anniversary written on the plate. Very memorable dinner. We can't wait to come back!!
Ambiance is spectacular.
