What Insiders Are Saying
The Little Door is one of the most romantic restaurants in the city
My Husband has dined with you for years and years and had not been back for at least 5 years so we decided to try it on a special night out to Los Angeles. Not only was I impressed with the beautiful surroundings and ambiance but the service and food was outstanding! It was my first time but not our last time to have more beautiful dinners there. It is like a getaway in the middle of a bustling city. My Husband thought it was still outstanding and still top cabin' and we will make it a point to drive there more often from Orange County because it is worth the drive.
Always good service
Wonderful place dine. The Food and Ambiance was amazing. I highly recommend this place.
We were never asked how are food was once it arrived and were generally ignored by our server. He was much more interested in new tables than tables that had already ordered.
One of my favorite restaurants in LA. Great food, great ambiance, great service.
I took a chance on this place for my beaus birthday after reading it was one of the most romantic restaurants in LA. He was so happy and surprised and so was I! We loved the whole set up and the food was excellent.
I lit was magical and just relaxing g and lovely
Fantastic overall experience. Food was superb and atmosphere was super chill. Also the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
We had the lamb and the steak and they both were amazing! Best lamb. the spicy margaritas were delicious.
We had been a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. This time we couldn’t be seated at the time of our reservation and were sent to the bar with several others who also had reservations. This was especially annoying as there were many empty tables.
Once seated, our food order had to be checked on several times by the busboys as the waiter was no where to be seen. When the order came out, several of the dishes were incorrect. Overall, there seemed to be s shortage of staff. Saw him when we got there and when we left.
Music too loud and too “ pounding “ wasn’t coney background music as I remembered
Food was just ok
We waited nearly an hour for our reservation.
Amazing!!! From the moment we walked into the door we were treated like royalty! Josh was beyond welcoming and our server, Olivier was top notch! Food was tremendous and atmosphere even better!!!! Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in town!
Still excellent after many years. Top notch food, service and ambiance. One of the best restaurants in Los Angeles.
I went to Little Door to celebrate an anniversary. The ambiance was romantic and intimate. Food was delicious, albeit a little expensive. Overall a great experience
Everything was amazing, the whole staff went above and beyond. We will definitely be going back.
Friend’s 40th birthday
The ambiance and setting is so beautiful. The food was just okay, especially for the price.
The food was incredible and the ambiance was fantastic. It was pretty pricey but I think we'll worth the money !
This is one of my favorite restaurants, #1 on my top 5 list. Perfect in every way! My meal is always amazing. Service is great and the atmosphere is so relaxing and beautiful. I love to share it with friends. It is a wonderful gem behind a secret door. love it!!!!
I have been going here for years and I LOVE the ambiance so much! It's so romantic and cozy. The service is great as well. However the food isn't as delicious as it used to be and it's definitely over priced for what it is. Still, I will go back because I love it. xoxo
Once again a spectacular romantic dinner date in a splendid setting with attentive service, charming ambience, beyond foodie delicious food (rack of lamb!!!) and just plain lovely overall.
It was pretty perfect. Our server was attentive, warm and knowledgeable. The food was delicious!
Such a cute, romantic restaurant and host was friendly and kind. It was my bf's birthday and I expected more of friendliness from our server but she didn't seem like care much. She forgot our appetizer order and no apology and she didn't even bother to ask how I want my steak done. For the desert, she didn't bother to explain but bring the chalkboard on our table and stare at us. Food was okay but not such a great experience after all.
Great Service!! Great ambience! Great food! Great experience! Thank you! Litttle Door!
Absolutely gorgeous and romantic. Delicious food as well.
We went to celebrate our Anniversary we have great time the place is exactly how we want we ask for nice table and we did just the people who sit next to us was little to noise because the group was big and they celebrate birthday i recommend separate birthdays and Anniversarys
Excellent food and attentive, knowledgeable service in a beautiful, romantic setting. Definitely an upscale experience with commensurate prices. Perfect for special occasions.
Beautiful place to have a date night. Although, my date and I felt sick after the meal, it was a nice experience (the restaurant itself). I would maybe recommend avoiding the fish.
All that stuff that is said about this place being the most romantic environment doesn’t even cover it. What a room! 5 stars isn’t enough. Ambience is so key, so thank you Little Door for truly getting it. The food, while not terribly innovative (if you’re a foodie type - we’re not) was perfectly prepared and very reasonably priced. Perhaps most importantly, the staff was phenomenal. The woman and man at the host station when we arrived were kind, welcoming and very professional. And our server was perfect; he accommodated all our little questions with a smile and our time constraints with efficiency. Ours could not have been a better experience. In fact, lol, we ditched the second half of the show we saw at Largo following dinner and went back to the restaurant to finish off the evening, where we experienced more of the magic that made the Little Door our evening’s true headliner.
Truly a VERY SPECIAL RESTAURANT; well beyond our highest expectations! One of the most romantic in the entire world! Everything (except the HORRIFIC "Italian" coffee; WHY?) was well OVER THE TOP, including the service. Every morsel of food was among the VERY BEST! [Unfortunately, OpenTable once again let us down by once AGAIN FAILING to pass on our "special request" to the restaurant, which is NOT the restaurant's fault, but once again, ENTIRELY the FAULT of OpenTable (why do we use you???) Why do you even exist????]. HOWEVER, the wine prices are UNCONSCIONABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHAME ON LITTLE DOOR for FAILING to provide at least some AFFORDABLE PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure that not ALL of their patrons are BILLIONAIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here recently and it was so enjoyable! We’ve been here several times over the years and it’s just as lovely as ever. Great ambience! We both did the prixe option: I had the arugula salad, rack of lamb; husband had the tart and the sea bass. We shared the desserts. The Sonoma Pinot noir was delicious, followed by mint tea and coffee. A favorite.
I had a very special occasion and Little Door exceeded our expectations. My guest from New York was over joyed to be there! Thank you SO MUCH!
I recommended to a friend - most romantic ambiance !
Fantastic! Our waiter Olivier was very responsive and super nice. Knowledgeable of the menu and somehow we picked out a few of his favorite options. The ribeye was incredible perfectly cooked and seasoned amazingly, which is something that doesn’t typically happen when I eat steak! I think I could could better than most; skillet salt pepper and butter but they killed it. I think it had Rosemary, I don’t even know but the flavors were phenomenal! Also, love the scallops those are fantastic and I thought the crab salad was OK. Next time I want to try the duck patte. Other than that great date night, wonderful atmosphere outside in the courtyard, and local which is nice. I’ve heard this place has been around for almost 20 years, pretty cool somewhere hanging on that long in LA it’s definitely a place to add to your bucket list, if you have not been. All in all 5 stars!
This is a great restaurant for a romantic night out. Great food and ambiance.
One of our favorite places to eat. Always a great atmosphere, food is consistently good. We have tried the fish, duck, rack of lamb, the steak, the mezze platter, the smoked fish platter, basically most of the menu! We have never been disappointed.
Always a great romantic evening here!
Drinks are too pricey but the food is reasonably priced & delicious!
Wonderful atmosphere, incredible food and a gem of a place. Next time we are in L.A. we will be back!
Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere!
Excellent service. No complaints!
