This is an exceptional spot in Los Angeles, with great drinks, food, and impeccable service.
I brought my boyfriend for his birthday dinner and told them ahead of time through the app about the occasion. I also requested to be partially outside but was seated inside by the fire. Still very beautiful. The food was mostly very good but some dishes (octopus and sea bass main) were crazy salty. I love salt but it was too much for me to enjoy the dishes. The sea bass was also over cooked.
I really hoped they would bring out a candle for his birthday but they just asked us what we wanted to order from the dessert cart and didn’t acknowledge the occasion at all. We ordered the crème brûlée and it was very cold. I’ve never had it like that but maybe that’s how it’s served there. Didn’t seem freshly made to me. Maybe they don’t do anything for birthdays? Regardless, pretty food and very pretty restaurant.
I was so sad, this restaurant was one of our favorite memories. We have gone about 1/2 dozen times and always had a very pleasant experience and happy bellies. Something must have change in the past year. The service was good but the food oooh the food was not very flavorful at all (exception wine and Lamb), the soup was bland, the asparagus and potatoes were not tasty, the octopus was not cooked had a jelly consistency, the vegetable medley (not real name) was curry heavy that is all you could taste. The cautery board seemed like something you can buy at Gelsons. The prices look like they rose so the value was not there.. The place is lovely but the food used to be the highlight is no more... did they get a new chef? seems like they changed the menu and not for the better. So sad. We cannot recommend TLD to anyone at this time.
Exceptional food and service. Everyone from host, busser, runner and servers all made us feel so welcome. This will always be my favorite place to go for a special occasion or date night. Thank you little door!
I loved the customer service and the place had a romantic feel. Loved spending my birthday there with y boyfriend. The bartender made my favorite drink even though they didn't offer it. Loved the string lights in the courtyard. Perfect place for a romantic dinner.
Wonderful experience! The food here is world class, worth the trip every time!
Loved this place, and will return - Just wish they had more vegan options, but it was great service and fab vibe!
We were there for New Year’s Eve. Had never been there before, so not sure what the normal menu is like, but the New Years Eve menu was exceptional, and everything else about the restaurant was great too. Highly recommend this place!
It was amazing, the service is outstanding!
The octopus was too chewy.
The lamb was cooked well but the vegetables that come with the lamb had a burnt taste … maybe too much char ??
The service was ok. The hostess said I only made a reservation for 2 but I made it for 4 ( had proof). I told them I was celebrating a birthday and I thought they might write happy birthday on the 2 desserts on ordered but they didn’t.
Food is too salty my kid can’t eat, the steak was terrible, the dessert too sweet, so the price not worth.
Food was not bad but not memorable. Portions are small. Cocktails just okay. The service was great though and the restaurant is beautiful.
If you have an inclination to travel to Morocco, but not the time, book a table at The Little Door…the more the merrier. The Filet and steak tartare were exquisite -as were our cocktails and the wine list. There is not a more charming, nor groovier spot in Los Angeles. A. Must.
The tables at the back make it feel like a common taco restaurant.
Waiters don't come to the back at all. Have to call them out to get their attention. The vice is just awful and they still charged me a pretty penny for the service.
What a wonderful restaurant!! Stunning atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Go!!!
Still hip and delicious after all these years. It’s a fantastic location with an outdoor patio and bar that’s still lively and welcoming.
Our biggest surprise was that most of the dishes are Middle Eastern. The spices, such as harissa, are strange to us and we were not fond of all of them. They did have 2 steaks on the menu, but that was about all for American tastes. Other than that the ambience was very nice and the noise level was not high which we appreciated.
If you like Middle eastern food, this is the place for you.
Not The Little Door of pre-pandemic
Partitions all over completely marred the ambience. Also too dark-couldn’t see what we were eating!
Food ok. Noise level deafening.
Amazing service !
I requested the best intimate seating in the house and the staff surely provided. The ambiance was great.
Will be back!
A local favorite of ours and brought my brother here when he was visiting from Chicago and the ambience, service, and food were all outstanding. Definitely recommend!
Great atmosphere! The food was amazing and a lot of items (including condiments) seemed to be made in house. It was a fantastic experience.
Wonderful hidden garden patio providing a beautiful backdrop. Clever use of blue doors between tables to provide a little COVID-safe space from your neighbors, while keeping it from feeling closed off. Add to that, tasty cuisine and excellent service and you have a exemplary place to enjoy a cozy night out.
Excelente food and service. Perfect for a romantic dinner or for a casual evening. I had the Cooscus royale. Really good
Excellent ambience and the best food I’ve eaten for a long time. The service was good, but the server didn’t appreciate me being fast with the order.
A very romantic restaurant, I would definitely go again!
Food and ambience……great!
A beautiful little gem on a busy street, like walking into an enchanted garden. Food is tasty and wine list very nicely selected. Always take out-of-town guests here to be charmed.
Romantic and dark, moody
The restaurant were great. The food was ok, not great. but I was over charged for the food.
Only comment was slow service. We had to grab our own appetizer plates at a table because we couldn’t wait anymore and our appetizer already arrived.
Food was excellent and such a beautiful romantic space
Great ambiance and no noise. Food was delicious and felt more like an unexpected treat instead of just a dinner out. Haven’t been here since covid hit Bolyu plan on returning again soon! Loved the whole experience!
The service was great. I called to let them know I was stuck in traffic and they extended my reservation which was so nice especially since we were celebrating a birthday. The seating has changed since I’ve been which was pre Covid. They have kept it cozy and separated. We had a beautiful dinner and I will be back.
This was an outstanding experience. Romantic restaurant with tremendous food and service. We hope to return there soon!
Beautiful place! Perfect place for date night!
We had invited our friends to experience the beauty of Little Door and creations of its new Portuguese chef. Unfortunately the only table available was in the back and was not what we expected. When I talked to the hostess, Jennifer, she understood and helped us get a table in the courtyard.
Jennifer, you saved our evening and I am grateful fir you unbelievable attitude and excellent customer service. Our friends had a great night.
Overall very good
Everything was perfect!!
intimate restaurant with a charming feel and delicious food
