The Little Beet Table - Chicago
I had been meaning to eat here since it’s just a few blocks from my apartment. My Dad and I ate here on a Sunday night after going to the movies. I figured it would please his “healthy” palate and my low carb diet. The menu was kind of small but seasonal. I really enjoyed everything I ate but wished the portions were larger. I would suggest the Beef entree which was excellent!
Most places that offer a veggie burger offer same kind of bland, average thing. This one was genuinely different and delicious.
I wasn't entirely taken with their activated charcoal lemonade, but the burger hit the spot!
We enjoyed the most amazing butternut squash soup which was perfect on a very cold day. Our server was wonderful as was the remainder of our experience.
Service was OK, long delays into between checking drink orders. Also the course took quite awhile to come out each time.
Food was tasty until my wife found that half her chicken was raw. The manger came over apologized and gave us free dessert in addition. He did give us the option of taking the entree off the bill, but we opted for the dessert instead.
Although this was the best experience, I would still recommend going her, as they promptly resolve any issue you have with your food.
First time at Little Beet; arrived early for our reservation and was seated right away. They were still offering the Valentine menu; I had the beet margarita, shrimp salad and salmon. The margarita was slightly earthy, very red and quite tasty. The salad with tiger shrimp was excellent. The salmon was cooked exactly the way I like it; crispy skin and flaky inside. The roasted radish garnish and cauliflower puree added a nice balance to the sweetness of the fish. Service was good, but I recognized she was covering several tables including a very large one. Ambiance was clean and bright. A little noisy for conversation, but not too bad. Overall I would recommend the restaurant to friends!
Overall, the food was good; however a tad over seasoned (i.e., a little salty).
Amazing gluten free experience
Was searching for a place with Gluten-Free options, and came across this fully-gluten-free restaurant. Good food, nice selection, pleasant server. Only thing was the coffee was lukewarm and "that must be the machine" wasn't a great excuse to me. But really enjoyed it. Casual and fun. Will definitely go back!
Great food, good service, nice atmosphere! Everything was fresh and tasty!
Great food, wonderful dinner. Lots of options; everyone could find a great choice on the menu.
Excellent food and service. My daughter has multiple food allergies and they went above and beyond to accommodate her. Had a wonderful conversation with the general manager.
The Little Beet Table makes the best butternut squash soup I've ever had!
My FAVORITE restaurant. You can’t even tell it’s gluten free. Great portion sizes too.
I love that everything is 100% certified gluten-free and they are extremely allergy conscious. Super supportive and empathetic staff!
We came for restraraunt week and had the best dinner! I loved the ambiance it’s a very cute place with excellent wait staff!! I would definitely come back!
My guest loved her sticky rice and carrots. I loved the butternut squash soup. The veggie burger was good but the bun was dry. I had carrot cake for dessert and ate only the frosting-adjacent part. It was cold and dry, which I reported to the waiter. He apologized but didn't offer a substitute. In a past visit I liked the brussel sprouts and would reorder those but skip any baked goods.
Cute decor, but music was a little loud. Didn’t love our dishes, though the hummus is very good. Recommend for a gluten-free option.
Food was delicious, service was timely and noise level was low so having table conversation was easy.
Salmon burger is really good. The roasted sweet potato side is a nice surprise and very delicious.
We loved our food and our server. She was fun and knew her menu. Her recommendations were spot on for all of us - a vegetarian, an omnivore and a gluten free eater. It sounds like a bad joke, but we were all full and happy when we left.
The whole menu is gluten free, but the food stands up against any menu with no restrictions. Also excellent service.
The food was great. The ENTIRE menu is gluten free! Very happy with the service and attention we were given. Bravo!
Out to brunch with my wife. The food is good as always but the service is a bit lacking. We asked for a low top in the reservation and received a high top instead. Food service was decent but on the slower side.
The food was easily the star of the show.
We really enjoyed it. The stand-out was definitely the banana-walnut bread!
The food was amazing! The ambiance, decor and service excellent. Will definitely return.
The heat was broken in the dining room, it’s a polar freeze in Chicago right now. They should have been closed. Everyone wore a coat and hat.
Salmon was really fishy tasting and we found a long black hair in the meal. We sent it back and the manager came out.. apologized and the said his entire kitchen staff is African American so he doesn’t know where it came from. That made us feel like he was accusing us of planting it without actually saying that ...desserts were sub par carrot cake was the best.
All in all $300. for a party of 4 at The Little Beet Table was not a good value. There is much better food within blocks for the same dollar amount
Had a reservation but still had to wait about 25 minutes for a table
Great experience, but restaurant ran out of a dessert and an entree at 8 PM!
Opened Restaurant Week at the Little Beet Table. Interesting vegetable focused dishes, and something for all the people in the party. Some loved the butternut squash soup, others the cauliflower with green curry. Outstanding cocktails.
They made us wait an hour even with a reservation, but then comped a round of drinks as we waited at the bar. Everything else was exceptional and delicious!
Incredible gluten free food and helpful staff!
Kids AND meat & potato husbands will eat their veggies if you bring them to Little Beet Table. Great food, ambiance, service. Love it!
The food is always so fresh and delicious! The staff is so kind and attentive. We have never been disappointed. I hope they offer more vegan options in the future.
Jacob was our server and he was amazing! The food was very clean and tasty and as a table of 4; including a vegan and a vegetarian; we all walked away happy and full!
Very tasty gluten-free food, for a change! Nice, comfortable spot with reasonable sized menu with many options for anyone, gluten-free or not, vegetarian, vegan or carnivore. Interesting cocktail menu, and yummy appetizers. I enjoyed the burger, and the gelato was delicious. They make healthier food taste really good, which is a triumph. The only things that were disappointing was the uneven service and meal pacing. The service was slow, despite only a few tables full when we arrived. She didn't ask us if we wanted dessert, then didn't clear table when we did ask for dessert options. She brought only one menu, and we had to ask to clear table after dessert and teas arrived. That seems like a major oversight. Our bill was nearly $200 for the 3 of us, so I would have expected more attentive and better service. Also we asked for 'cozy' table at time of reservation, and inexplicably were seated in the chilly windows, instead of the upholstered banquette along the wall. I would give it another chance and be back to try rest of menu, as the food was compelling good.
Food is good. Server was super nice. She was the only one there, so a bit slow. Great for a healthy lunch or dinner.
They should advertise more that they are 100% gluten free! Fabulous food and service that meets so many dietary restrictions without feeling like you are giving anything up!! Overall pleasant evening out - highly recommend
Service was slow and inattentive, but the food and drinks were amazing
The food was good but a bit overpriced-- they were certainly understaffed which made for poor service.
Had a party of 8 for business lunch. Food was great and really fresh. Service was superb!
