   2nd time here. Absolutely want to go again! Best service. Atmosphere uplifting and trendy. Excellent food! Goat cheese and pita bread appetizer so good! There is something for everyone. Has special beet cold appetizer and ravioli with beet and goat cheese. Veggie burger was last visit and was one of the best I have ever had! Love the table by window in front. Go and you won’t be disappointed!!

   Food and service were outstanding. Lit Burgers are top-notch. nice beer selection. Great desserts. But the noise level was DEAFENING. I don’t mean loud, I mean my ears were ringing when we left. A real shame because the place in all other ways is awesome. I just don’t feel like shouting at the top of my lungs during dinner. There has got to be a way to do some soundproofing with fabric or whatever to calm the din.

   Chill comfortable environment with a speakeasy vibe, new food menu was very accessible, recognizable old standards with fresh new ingredient twists, with something for everyone - at multiple price points. Cocktail menu wasn’t tapped much this visit but next time expect to enjoy a couple beautiful creations from the bar. Extremely attentive service - knowledgeable server helped navigate the new menu offerings. Definitely will return.

   While this place may look like a hole in the wall bar, they are serving up some of the best food in the city. The ambiance, menu and drinks are carefully curated to make the Lit a true gem.

    Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Best patty melt I've ever had. Our server (who was also greeter, bartender and busboy) was very pleasant and explained the history of the building. Excellent place!

    Great craft cocktails and service. Ordered chicken shawarma. It was a sandwich shop. I thought it would be a plate so I was a bit disappointed. Great appetizer selection. Will definitely go back.

    Creative cocktails. Food was decent but not spectacular. Service was helpful but missed some little things here and there. Ambiance was really good, dark and modern. My only major complaint was we were seated by the front door, which was a problem every time the door opened and let cold winter air in. Since it was a Saturday night the door was being opened every few minutes and we were blasted with arctic air! Would definitely go back but will look for a seat in the back instead of in the front bar area. Summer shouldn’t be a problem.

    First time visiting this quaint little joint in Tremont neighborhood. Had an early 4:45p reservation before going to a show and the place was packed by the time we left. Everyone loved their choices: mussels, ravioli, salad, rib eye sandwich, and even grilled cheese! Definitely adding Literary Tavern to our Tremont favorites.

    Food was great as always. Super Noisy in the back room though - a large party behind us was very loud. Food service was great but server seemed either overwhelmed or non attentive. Took quite a while to get a glass of wine after food was served. Heard nothing about any specials(did not ask, but she did not speak of any either.) We brought another couple there for the first time so their impression was loud and average service - not what we raved about prior to going that night Love the LIT - great food makes up for the noise knowing it was just one night

    We stopped here for lunch. We had the best server I apologize I cannot remember his name. One person in our party just wanted to have coffee and he is very picky. He said it was the best coffee he has ever had on a trip at a restaurant! We have the Caesar salad have chicken and a side of brussels sprouts and they were amazing This place has a great vibe, exceptional service and delicious food. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Cleveland.

    This is a repeat regular place for me and I always love it and recommend it to others. Small snafu this time - kitchen seemed to have prepared only 3 of our 4 meals. The 4th arrived well after all my friends had finished. Waitress made up for it though and still a great experience overall.

    We had an awesome time!!! Ordered salads which are huge! Grilled cheese (wowza) and chicken 🐔 Shiahtawook chicken sandwich! Excellent!!! The couple next to us had steak sando they said was dynamite 🧨!
