   Great food, fast service, although staff did seem under pressure with a lot of tables to serve. The noise level from a double table with young children was very loud, not helped by the acoustics of the room, we virtually had to shout to be heard across our table, shame, but nothing the Lion could do about it.

   A beautiful country pub. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and very well presented, and the portion size was substantial. Looking forward to returning, especially in the summer as they have a lovely outside area and garden too.

   Visited last Wednesday. The waitress had to keep coming back as she would only take parts of our order then disappear again, possibly new but didn’t seem to have a clue. Asked for steak rare and it came out over done - no less than medium. Asked for peppercorn sauce and it had no peppercorns in but onion instead and tasted odd. Was only given one steak knife as they ran out (table of 2). Hoping it was an off day because usually enjoy eating here.

   Another great meal at the Lion. It’s always our go to for delicious, local, pub food at reasonable prices

   Very pushy to get us to our table even though our friends had not arrived. We were early. Service was very poor asked 3 times for drinks. Pub was very very smokey at times. We were there less than 2 hours on a Friday night. Menu needs changing same things have been on for far to long.

   The quality of the food and the quantity were great. The team that served us were really friendly and efficient. We eat Sunday lunch out regularly (but not frequently) and their Sunday lunch went to the top spot based on last Sunday.

   We have supper here at least once a month, the food is always enjoyable, my only comment on this time was it seemed the kitchen was extra busy, certain items were either over cooked or had not been tasted before using. i.e. bacon was overcooked even for me, the 'sauce' with the Pear was so sweet it spoilt the pear.
