   Do not book through open table. The pub claimed not to have our booking & we’re not currently accepting open table bookings. We waited over an hour to be seated and longer for food. The food was incredible, well worth a visit. But the booking mishap was unacceptable & the staff still made out like they were doing us a favour by fitting us in…

   Excellent service, delicious food. There were issues with booking, not their fault at all, but you wouldn't have known. Smiles and cheer in abundance, and a really cracking roast.

   When we arrived we were told that the Linden Tree is not part of open table and we therefore had no booking. We were given a table and 3 of the meals were fine were as the fish pie was dry.

   When we arrived they said they did not have us booked in. They denied having an account with Open Table and couldn't understand how we had booked through them. We were told there was a party booked so they were busy, but we could have a table but probably would have to wait some time. We didn't wait too long but the food was poor quality (fish pie especially, had big lumps of potato in the mash) and not particularly hot. The venue itself was chilly and we needed to keep our coats on. Service was good but we will not be returning. No where near the Linden Tree standard from years ago.

   Disappointing end to a lovely lunch . We had to return a burger which was raw & pink inside . The rest of the food was lovely and the young waitress worked so hard looking after us to enjoy our lunch . Unfortunately the lady in charge needs to address her attitude . The bill was totally wrong and when we broke it down we were overcharged , Shockingly! We will not go back there and I wouldn’t recommend the place ! “She told us to leave!” Instead of helping us correct the bill . 13 of us left bewildered 🤷

   Apparently the Linden Tree do not have an association with Open Table!!! We arrived for our 4pm booking only to find that they don’t serve food until 6pm even though the sign outside said for 12-9. I showed our booking they just kept insisting that they don’t deal with Open Table, our booking was a “gift” for a 10 year Anniversary. We left embarrassed and were able to make a further booking for the Linden Tree for next weekend but they don’t have an association with Open Table. Greatly Disappointed
