The Lighthouse Restaurant at CrewsInn
Made confirmed reservations online for my son's birthday and was turned away because they were closed .
Booking online made no sense as they did not have our booking
We waited over an hour for food... Food was seasoned with too much salt
Servers tries their best to manage and we're pleasant throughout.
They started locking up the restaurant before they brought the bill.
The lighthouse restaurant is the best place I have visited with the best in its breakfast lunch and dinner I do take my family we have the best time we always revisit😍😍😍😍
The server assigned to my table shares the same first name with me, her serving skills were on point. The surprise piece of birthday cake for my mom was indeed a great gesture. We all enjoyed our meal and the time spent at the restaurant. I definitely will return another time.
Ambience was great. The service was not so great. The waitress seemed distracted and overall demeanor was not as welcoming and personable as I expected. The food was OK. Nothing stood out. My son ordered ribs but didn't like the sauce at all. We still had a good time but expected better service at that price. Also tap water was served. They could have splurged on better tasting bottled water. Bottled water is so inexpensive.
It was a relaxing experience ...the server ..forgot his name was very pleasant..he said he was new but he was very professional and made great recommendations...
The server told my party and I that we will not be receiving clean cutlery if you were planning to return to the buffet for additional food. She offered us napkins to clean the cutlery we already used. This took my party and I by surprise since that's not a policy usually implemented in most restaurants we go to.
The server was not very pleasant since I can't recall her even greeting us with a "Good morning welcome to Crew's Inn" or smiling during her interaction with us .
I hope management at Crew's Inn will invest in training and re-training it's floor staff as they are an integral element in creating the perfect ambiance.
Michael was a great live entertainer and he made the trip to Chaguaramas worthwhile. He was great at engaging the guests of all ages in the restaurant.
Cool breezes, idyllic views and tasty fare. A lovely evening overall. My guest struggled to find "local" flavors on the menu, though.
A lovely place to spend your Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent and the live entertainment was fun!
Good food and Location. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the sunset because of the clouds. The location and food was on point.
The ambiance was beautiful however the service was poor... my date and I waited over 2 hours for food and sadly it was not worth the wait. He ordered lamb (well done) and there was blood in it, while I ordered seafood where the lobster was tough and the mussels were too fresh. The live entertainment, photography and sea view from our table was spectacular but not enough for us to stay. We left soon after our unfinished, disappointing meal.
You have an opportunity to up the game by broadening your menu. Also while there my order was wrong.
I made a reservation online on Opentable, however when i went to the restaurant, the hostess could not pull up my reservation and spoke to me in a tone that sounded sort of doubtful and accusatory. I did not appreciate how she spoke, but she soon after she took my boyfriend and I to a reserved table. This experience was embarassing because we came all dressed up and ecited and to be met by a person that almost didnt believe I made a reservation was not up to the standard that I expected from such a popular restaurant. The food was very basic and was not well seasoned. I had the ribs and fries and my boyfriend had the chicken parmesan. The fact that they did not serve any alcoholic drinks such as beer or wine was also very disappointing. I give the overall experience a 4/10. The four points are basically for our server and the venue other, than that I would definitely suggest spending your money elsewhere.
Hi I am very disappointed I came for my birthday with my sons and my friend. As soon as we enter and was seated my lil son and my friend started sneezing , nonstop they both had to leave the dining table and go to the washroom. when they came back and looked up the ceiling fan was very dirty full of dust. We had to eat fast and leave , because at that point the headaches started and their eyes were swollen. I had sent num, no form of apologies nothing. To which I am very disappointed. Because we come there so often to eat with friends and family, I told them abt our experience meeted out there with out any form of apologies.Nmeerous messages on the facebook messenger no replied never came, back bearing in mind my whole family was involved in a mva accident in which we were all seriously injured and hve to come there to have our sinuses acted up. My friend and my son were both sick for a week with the sinuses allergies due to the dust
Was a bit disappointed with the Curry dish. Did not expect the choice of roasted vegetables. I thought it would have been similar to a local/ East Indian dish.
The food was great so was the service
They have a wide variety of dishes. The food is tasty and the ambiance is quite relaxing and their service is pleasant and welcoming.
The view was amazing and our server was polite and friendly. The ambience was very relaxing. The food was great with the exception of the meat not being well done as requested.
Everything was good except when got bill what was advertised on website, was not as advertised
Two lobster dishes that were a challenge to eat. The tail should have been scooped from the shell prior to serving. The apple pie crust needs to be rethought as its not a crust at all.
The website touts Sunday brunch, but all it is, is a hotel breakfast buffet. And the restaurant closes from 10:30-11:30 to clean up for lunch, even though Open a Table let us book a table during that time! The staff couldn’t be bothered to get us drinks. This is the second time I’ve gone here and the service is terrible.
Excellent service given. Very impressed. Will Definetley be back there again.
Great food, excellent service, awesome atmosphere!!!
Food was good, ambience was amazing, but the service was not so good. First of all it was a special occasion for my wife and I, no one smiled with us. It was just like, "i have a job to do, let me do it and get over with it". Second, it was just the 2 of us and the waitress mixed up our plates. Third, she just handed it to us. Hello! I'm paying a lot of money for this (over$200a plate), you supposed to put the plate on the table for me, this is not KFC. And last, when she brought the "happy anniversary dessert " for us, again it was without a smile. These servers really need some professional training and people skills. I know cheaper places with much better service.
The service was not up to par overall. We lunched with a child and the waiter left an adult dining fork which was the size of the child's head. Steaks were ordered and butter knives provided. Soup was ordered and we had to ask for a spoon. We asked for bread plates, (after bread was served) and the server picked up three plates from elsewhere and wiped them off with his hand before giving it for us to use. Disgusting and unprofessional to say the least.
Excellent experience. Will be there soon again.
The waitress did not check up on us to find out if we needed anything or if we were comfortable with the meals. The waitress only came to take our order and then to give us the bill.
The service, food and environment were excellent and satisfying.
