Everything was amazing! The food, the ambiance, the service, wonderful experience! Totally recommend this place!
I will literally take anyone who visits me to The Library. The look and feel of the place is amazing and cozy - a little expensive but the portion size and taste is worth it. I've eaten mostly for brunch but their dinner menu was nothing short of fantastic! When they say they're known for their brussel sprouts its no joke. I HIGHLY recommend getting it to start your meal.
Love the half price wine Wednesday's. Had filet mignon and fried brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Very good food, good service in a unique setting. It's hard to believe this nice of a restaurant is inside a hospital!
The atmosphere was amazing. Portions were very large and very tasty.
Our two appetizers, Benne Cauliflower and Marinated Octopus were outstanding. We split the Truffle Mushroom Pasta and it was a gooey, chewy mess...oily and not very tasty. Our server quickly changed it out for crispy salmon and roasted potatoes which were delicious. Service and ambiance were great. Will be back!
The food and the service were both excellent. We were celebrating my friend's birthday and our waitress made it extra special by bring a delicious, warm cookie and ice cream without any charge.
SQUID INK PASTA!! Honestly everything we have ever gotten here is amazing. Highly recommend.
Nicely decorated restaurant close to hospital. Good food options.
Best food I’ve had recently, best experience. Server was amazing!! So sweet and offered to try to hook us up with dessert for my bday even though it was lunch. Vege options were 🔥 THANK YOU!!
My first time here. Will definitely go again and try something new. Sparkler in the cake for my friends birthday was so much fun. The scallops were scrumptious!! Get there before six to save during happy hour prices.
A great place to have a nice lunch with a friend. I also had the best grilled cheese and tomato soup I've ever had in my entire life! I've been intending to visit The Library for a while now and was so happy with the location, service, ambience and food! I live close by, so now I have a go to place!
Our second visit. YOU MUST TRY THE CAULIFLOWER APPETIZER!!!!! It is like nothing you've ever eaten. You will like it.
The NY Strip was very good. The Squid Ink Pasta was excellent. The Halibut was good, but overcooked. Roasted potatoes side was good.
It's a bit pricey, but worth the visit.
The food and cocktails are amazing, always a great experience. Everything is fresh and tasty, eggs Benedict’s are great!
Lovely from entrance to exit!
I was served French fries instead of home fries with my eggs. The kitchen ran out home fries and no one toll me. They just decided to give me French fries. Too bad!
The Librarys look and feel is great! Their food is also outstanding and you get a ton. The food also came pretty quickly after ordering. Their normal black coffee is not very good. Their menu is definitely pricey for what it is when similar restaurants around have the same things for a little cheaper. The waitress/service was the only truly poor part of the experience. Specifically after the meal we were sitting there done with food for a looonng time and the waitress even acknowledged it and said she'd bring a check. Way later she came again and finally took the food and we asked for the check again. Then it took another 20-25min just to get the check and then another 10 after that to get my card back. While the food was good, it's not worth it to spend 1.5hrs there on a simple brunch which is how long we were there. Like i said, the food was fast, the waitress was realllly not
Got started off on the wrong foot with lack of server attention but manager was quick to remedy and got us a great server! Enjoyed our experience, food was yummy. I’d recommend
The food is delicious, atmosphere is great and I love the decor.
I will definitely recommend the Library 1 Million percent!!!
Great food. Get the cauliflower benne
Excellent service and good food.
We reserved a table a few weeks ago to celebrate my Mom’s 74th birthday at The Library. This is a restaurant we have been considering going to experience for a while and this was a surprise for my Mom.
Prior to our visit, I knew that this was going to be a pricey experience but I was a little surprised that fir three of us having breakfast it was right at $100.
We ordered Avocado Wedges-fried avocado slices ($14) to share, The Library Classic which featured eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and toast ($13), Lemmon Poppyseed Pancakes ($18)with an extra side of bacon ($4) and the Eggs Benedict ($20). To drink we ordered a pineapple mimosa ($12), cappuccino ($3.50)and a coffee ($3). The only negatives we experienced were the avocado wedges were very salty, the breakfast potatoes and bacon seemed over cooked. I like my bacon a little less crisped than it was. My husband didn’t care fir the Benedict and would pick something different next time. The most positive dish was the Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes. There were 5-6 of them and they were so very flavorful and perfectly textured with a nice cream and both strawberries and blueberries topping them. The portion size was too much for one sitting and could definitely be shared. I have leftovers fit tomorrow.
Our server was Madison and she was friendly and attentive. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. I got up to go to the restroom and another server asked if that’s where I was going and he gave me clear instructions (proactively) so I would know where to go.
The restaurant is decorated very nicely with shelves of books covering most off the walls all bound in blue. Tables fir two feature beautiful high back, blue upholstered chairs against a wall with a painting, tables seating more were away from the walls throughout and there is also outdoor seating.
Such a neat experience! The food was great and service was excellent.
Excellent food, drinks, service and interior decor.
I regularly bring friends to The Library and celebrate special occasions like graduation because of their great food, service and atmosphere. Last night I dined with 2 friends ordering drinks, appetizer, bottle of wine with our 3 entrees, dessert and coffee. Our server Christian was wonderful including making several excellent suggestions. I did deduct stars from my rating however due to the manager’s behavior - several times she hovered in our area and at one point came over and inquired if she could clear our table - when we asked if they needed us to leave her response was less than supportive. I approached her upon leaving to compliment the food and the service and to inquire if the restaurant was now imposing a time limit during busy times as that would impact my decision to dine there in the future. She did not have an explanation - other than she was new and from a metro urban area in the Mid-Atlantic. I was a little surprised that she did not offer an apology and dismissed my feedback and impression of being encouraged to leave as inaccurate. Unfortunate because I really like The Library - will be reconsidering future reservations.
Food was very good as expected. Service was less so. Our table was not cleaned of food and crumbs after the dishes were cleared and before desert was served.
Spectacular! Love it! We’ve been going there for years
Overall the food wasn't very exciting and the service was very sub-par. We ordered a cinnamon bun that we never received and the waitress never came back to refill our drinks. It will take me awhile to give The Library another chance.
Well I had to give my credit card to secure a reservation for 4 people yet we still had to wait to get a table for 30 minutes .
Nicely decorated restaurant. The outside table was in a stinky area. Don’t recommend eating outside. Food is just ok and overpriced. Service is questionable.
The waitress was so sweet. Two of the dishes came out really cold. Our reservation was at 6, and we didn’t get our apps or drinks until 7.
With that being said, our waitress was so kind. It was not her fault, and we know that. I’m sure they were understaffed, and they did bring out free desserts because two of the dinners we just could not eat. She offered to bring new meals, but we didn’t want her to have to do that.
We spent over $300, for food that was just okay. The snapper was by far my favorite :)
I WOULD go back. Maybe if we went on another night, rather than a Saturday when they are so busy, the food would be better and faster service.
Again, I think our experience was not the restaurant’s fault; obviously restaurants everywhere are understaffed and doing their best.
The food and service were exceptional. Love the ambience.
We had a lovely time. Food was excellent, drinks were above average but not spectacular this time around (previous time was exceptional, may have just been an off day/bartender). Definitely recommended.
Perfect . ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Lovely little gem in St. Pete. Wonderful quality food and the service is great too!!! I went for dinner and brunch was not disappointed. Must try the cinnamon bun🥰
I love The Library, it’s one of my favorite places to go to with Girlfriends to have lunch. I always order the same thing because I love the Brussels sprouts and the GF flat bread, unfortunately this time my friend and i ordered our usual (we eat there at least 3-4 times a month) and we were explained that the flat bread had changed but we still decided to try it. Can’t say we liked it, we both felt it was heavy and super salty. I left a piece to take to my husband and he didn’t care for it either. I’m glad some people like it, unfortunately we didn’t. Everything else was great as usual.
This nod to a library requires no whispering. The food speaks volumes. The service is definitely something to shout about! I can't keep quiet about how much I enjoyed my visit.
The Library is fun, but it has become very pricey in the last few months. The cost is a worth it for a special time, but it is almost out of our budget for a regular visit. Our server, Kelsey, was terrific.
Wonderful chef terrific service beautiful surroundings
Original upbeat sophisticated and fun
Good food of a higher standard than exists in most places near by. Solid service and lovely atmosphere filled with happy expectant dinners. One thing, half the size or offer a half order of the pancakes. Such a shame seeing all the wasted food on the table.
