Loved our table for two nestled in a nook of the restaurant. Our filets and side dishes were delicious. Can’t wait to return to this unexpected gem located in a hospital complex!
What a stunning place to have a meal! The decor is incredibly charming and the food is delicious! I'll definitely be adding this to my list of favorites!
We went there not knowing what to expect. We had a great experience. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was pricy but well worth it.
Wow! Not a cheap experience yet a wonderful and delicious experience! You need to try this wonderful addition to St Petersburg.
It was awesome!! A friend and I met here for dinner. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was outstanding! I love the character of the library and just sitting and eating in a library was fun experience!! Will be back for sure!
The atmosphere was great and so was the food!! Will be back!
Not a huge menu but everything we had was so good. Could tell it was prepared to order. I have never had such a moist piece of chicken and my husband loved the halibut, especially that it was a bit spicy.
Loved the decor with all the books.
Glad we knew ahead of time was in the same building as one of the hospital building or we probably would have missed it.
We will be back for sure.
I've been there several times in the food is always delicious and the service is great. The music was just a little loud last night. Was hard to have conversation. I told the bartender but he seemed to just fluff off and say that's how it always is.
We enjoyed the food but they should not charge for the bread. It is a turn off.
Our only regret is that we didn’t find this place sooner!
Amazing food! It was great to find a local restaurant we have not been to yet. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was great. The only rather strange thing is knowing that you are eating in a hospital. I literally walked past some kind of machine to get to the bathroom. Setting that aside, it is an amazing restaurant and we will definitely be back!
This is an excellent place for a quiet lunch. The food was very good and the menu was quite extensive. The service was prompt and efficient but not intrusive.
We had a little difficulty finding the place as it is located in a hospital complex. Street parking is limited and metered but valet parking is complimentary with validation.
We really enjoyed our lunch and will make it a point to eat here the next time we are in the area.
The evening was very nice. All staff at the top of their game. Very efficient. Food and beverages great.
Had the Spinach salad...delicious! Dressing was nice and light...great choice. Also, the flatbread was outstanding! Bloody Mary was so good! Servicer was wonderful and attentive as the restaurant was busy for lunch. Can't wait to go back to try more luncheon items.
Great atmosphere. Fresh takes on standards. ❤️
We enjoyed The Library but it was very noisy and hard to talk given that noise. Two suggestions: play softer kinds of music, more softly. Also please increase your vegan offerings. Thanks!
Our server, Jill, made the occasion even more special. Jill made thoughtful and consultative recommendations on food and drinks and my boyfriend and I were pleased. Also, Happy Birthday to her! I will be returning to The Library for dinner soon.
Went for brunch and loved it! Incredible atmosphere and decor, food was delicious and with generous portions. Every employee we interacted w was wonderful esp our server. Already planned our next visit back before we left. Highly recommend!
Great hidden gem!!
Great spot inside a "library." Good food and service.
The Library was a fabulous place for brunch. Affordable, beautiful indoors, and great service. Most importantly, delicious food! Definitely go to this place for brunch if you're in town.
Tables too small. Made reservation for 5 and all they have is table for 4 with chair at one end
Excellent dining experience. The food was great, there was a nice selection of wine. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall the nicest dining experience in a long time in Tampa Bay. Loved it.
Little bit pricey, and if you are not a seafood fan, not a lot of options.
Always consistently great. Love this place.
Service was impeccable and the space is gorgeous. Unfortunately the food was awful. Everything was overcooked and it definitely was the b team in the kitchen. They should have just closed on Jan 1 instead of opening with a sub par cooking team. So disappointing. Even sent one entree back to be redone and was just as bad the second time.
Awesome place to have a good brunch, enjoyed the ambiance and the food was delicious. The drinks are on point as well
The staff was remarkably attentive and the food was delicious. Can’t say more than awesome about this place.
The restaurant was very nice as well as the service. However, they were out of 3 items that we ordered. i also heard this complaint from other patrons while i was in the restroom. The sides and wine selections could also be more varied.
We've been to many established restaurants for New Year's Eve and more often than not, it's not a good experience. Sometimes they overbook to fit more people in and the service is terrible. Other times it's a fixed menu and none of it is particularly good or memorable. The Library got this just right - we arrived a bit early and we were seated at our appointed reservation time. Our waiter (Jason? Justin?) was outstanding - very attentive, yet not cloying. He was quite busy with other tables but we never felt slighted. But the highlight was the food. It was their regular menu, but everything was just excellent. The grilled oysters were tasty and the breads that came with them were nicely charred. My partner got the New York Strip and I got the Filet Mignon - we both agreed that our meals were as good or better than many established steak places. Overall, just a very solid experience. Cudos!
We have only dined at The Library twice but have been very pleased with the experience both times. Our first meal there was for lunch and both the food and service were excellent. We returned a week later with some friends for Dinner on New Year’s Eve and again had a very fine meal with excellent service. The noise level is a bit higher than the name might imply but it is quite tolerable. The menu is very creative and the portions adequate. The valet parking is a very nice plus, particularly at night.
Our New Years Eve dinner at The Library was excellent!!! I really love this place and the staff is very nice and friendly.
The food is absolutely amazing!!!
I just wish they had more round tables like the few along the wall that are more intimate for two. It's such a good dining experience, but it is a bit noisy.
Cheers!! See you in 2020!!
Excellent atmosphere. Service was adequate but nothing special. The halibut was overcooked so was dry. The scallops were good but the grits were luke warm. We asked to have them reheated and they were returned just as they had originally arrived luke warm. We really wanted to like this restaurant but were disappointed. It may be worth another try. Maybe it was just a bad night???
It is always a pleasure to eat at the Library
I never had a bad meal yet.
New Years Eve
Great atmosphere and tasty food! Unique restaurant.
Great food and service in a fun and unique atmosphere.
Great coffeehouse and small cafe ambience, service and food. Wish they had French Press like Oxford Exchange.
