   Not our first visit and each time we have been impressed with Lesters Arms. Today Sunday lunch was excellent and we all enjoyed the food.

   We dined here for Sunday lunch and it was our first time visiting this establishment. Overall we were very impressed by the venue as it’s beautiful decorated and the service was excellent, the roast was lovely but had room for improvement. My wife and I both ordered the beef Sunday roast which was advertised as being served pink and this is how we like it. When the food arrived it looked great but the beef was nowhere near pink so I asked if it would be possible to get the beef served pink as that is how it was described on the menu. The staff were friendly and took our meals away and replaced them. The replacements were better but still far from the advertised pink. However the beef, Yorkshires, potatoes and vegetables were nice and flavoursome. The swede and carrot mash was excellent as was the gravy, the parsnips were soft and cooked through but could have been crispier. In general the food was all seasoned well and I will definitely try this place again…

   We have been a number of times and have never been disappointed. Half of our party tried the new summer menu and the other half the a la carte; both superb. Looking forward to our next visit.

   Disappointing visit compared to last time. Weather was beautiful so wanted to sit outside but there was a silly policy that there was no table ordering out there, even though there was table service. You need to find a solution to this team!

   Food was mostly ribeye steaks which everybody said were excellent On arrival we were told off for arriving 15 minutes late and that we were lucky the table was still available and this was not a good way to begin a dinner for 6 of us. Phil was in the kitchen and he never disappoints even adding little extras not on the menu .

   staff very good. food very good. the watercress that came with fillet steak almost non existence. it needed a nice green peppery hit also to brighten up the plate. sadly this minor fault happens at many restaurants. but we will return again.

    Food was good but I didn't like the veggies all being piled in one dish, iff you wanted carrots all the cabbage fell off
