Fast and friendly service and food prepared to perfection. It’s a great place to have a quiet meal at.
Very attractive place, good food and friendly service. Had dinner on a weeknight with a friend and even though the bar was full for happy hour the noise level in the dining area was minimal. We enjoyed our entrees of scallops and Arctic char. Shared an appetizer of calamari and a dessert of apple crisp. Will definitely return.
The deviled eggs- sooo tasty! The ricotta spread- very good. Calamari was good, but not anything new.
The brick chicken!! Delicious!! I normally don’t order chicken when im out (i usually order things i don’t make at home) but it was amazing! The sauce was delicious and the mashed root vegetable with stewed kale was a yummy compliment.
I tasted a friends steak au poive- holy cow! It was amazing!
I tasted my boyfriend’s burger.. it was good, but he likes it cooked medium well done (sacrilege!) so it might have been better if not massacred Lol
We ordered 3 for our table of 7.. the chocolate cake was pretty rich- a one bite and done for me. I didn’t taste the cheesecake (they’re not high on my food list), but!! The warm apple dish with ice cream- WOWZERS! So damn good!! And! I’m not a fruit pie kind of gal. It was just delicioso!!
Service was great!
Super friendly staff.. res was for 7:30 and we were sat right away. They also accommodated a change in our res (dropped from 8 to 7) without any hassle.
I highly recommend the Leroy house.
Menu offered something for everyone. Server had an excellent personality and knew both the food and wine menu well.
an excellent place for great food...many choices!...great service...and very casual and comfortable ambience. An wonderful local choice...
Still my favorite restaurant in NYC for it's wonderful food, gracious, caring staff, beautiful atmosphere and ambience.... even when totally full one can still have a normal conversation. Why other restaurants in NYC can't figure this out is a mystery to all of us! Screaming while eating is not a respite from the chaos of the city. Thank you Leroy House!
Great neighborhood gem. Very gracious hosting and excellent food.
Lovely place. Great ambience. Food very good. Good wine.
I was excited about the Leroy house but left unsatisfied. We came here on Valentine’s Day for 5pm reservation. Seated promptly upon arrival.
To start, the wine selection is good but excessively overpriced. A glass of Pinot noir was $17 which even by NYC standards seems a bit like a cash grab.
Our app was the ricotta spread which was very tasty. Nothing crazy but good.
My lady ordered the linguini with claims which I was super excited for. Unfortunately, it was so salty we had to send it back. It was replaced with the scallops which were large in size but average in flavor.
I order the duck. It was prepared well but at the price point I was underwhelmed.
We skipped dessert.
This is a great restaurant with excellent food and superior service. Except that, on this occasion, the service was woefully incompetent. The crux of it was that they brought me the wrong food (no big deal, stuff like that does happen) and couldn’t manage to bring me the correct food in a reasonable amount of time. There was other weird stuff, but the heart of my dissatisfaction was the absurd length of time it took to replace the food they’d incorrectly brought. It shouldn’t have taken 30 minutes.
I’m going to treat this experience as an aberration. This is still one of my favorite restaurants.
P.S. The scallops are to die for.
Best burger ever. Great night out with friends. Old and new.
this was our first visit since the redesign and re-branding, and we were so pleased. The food was very good, the setting was lovely, and the drinks and bar area also very good. this is now one of our favorite neighborhood go-tos.
The Leroy House just keeps getting better and better. My friend and I shared the citrus salad, which was light and a great way to start the meal. Then, I had the potato crusted branzino and my friend had the bucatini pomodoro - both were delicious. Well seasoned, the portion size was just right, we were happy campers. Our waitress was also lovely - she gave us time to catch up and we never felt rushed, even thought the place was packed. I can't say enough good things about The Leroy House.
Restaurant Week + birthday celebration. Food was delicious and service attentive.
We were there for NYC restaurant week - had the perfect date night seat in the corner - the restaurant week menu choices were great and the cheesecake was to die for.
Maybe not their fault but the menu feels like half the restaurants in NYC these days. It was fine but nothing special. Love the space but tables are right on top of each other.
Food was delicious but smallest portions Ive ever seen!
Having had a perfect experience the first time I dined at Leroy House this past November, I was holding my breath, hoping that what I'd experienced then wouldn't disappoint now. Well, there was no reason to worry. My new dinner guests were equally pleased with the beautiful ambience (we found out that that gorgeous wallpaper is actually hand-painted and from Paris), including lovely lighting and an excellent job of soundproofing the room so that even when the dining room is full, there's no need to shout! The food, again, was wonderful, from the brick chicken, to the outstanding house made pasta pomodoro, deviled eggs, caesar salad, and the accompanying wines which were suggested by our attentive waiter, Samantha and Aaron, who manage the restaurant, are so welcoming and attentive! So, if you're looking for an authentic, warm, and low-key evening of excellent dining and good conversation, grab a table at Leroy House.
Disappointing all around. The food was just average despite many rave reviews and the service was bar like casual; not at all what I’d expect from a restaurant commanding these prices. Venue and ambiance was nice. But i will not return.
Food was fine, staff ok. Too much noisy and table very small
Such a lovely cozy place with fabulous food
The Leroy House is my new favorite restaurant in the West Village. The space is absolutely beautiful. The menu is quite large for a somewhat small restaurant, and there were so many great choices. I had the fennel and orange salad, the branzino with mashed potatoes, and the chocolate cake for dessert. Relatively simple dishes - but they were all superb. The service was outstanding and the prices quite reasonable for the quality and location. An absolute gem of a restaurant.
Beautiful room, chic yet cozy and comfortable at the same time. Lively bar and extremely hospitable hosts and staff. Loved the brick chicken and duck confit, and great wine recommendation. Looking forward to a return visit, highly recommend!
Great ambiance! Good food! Great service!
We had a ladies' night out and ended up ordering the same entree -Brick Chicken! It was both mouthwatering & warming -the perfect dish for a winter night. The food, the ambiance & the attentive wait staff made us feel so comfortable. We are looking forward to returning for another sumptuous meal.
The service was great, the food was delicious- overall a lovely experience
Thanksgiving. They nailed it!!!
Nice cozy neighborhood spot. Great Happy Hour too
The Leroy House is a West Village dream. The dining room couldn't be more charming and romantic. It harkens back to "Old New York," in a sophisticated way, not kitchy! The servers are top notch...attentive and knowledgeable and kind. My guest and I each had the duck confit and it was excellent! Moist, crispy and with a delicious tart cherry sauce on the side. The caesar's salad was also excellent as were the perfectly charred shishito peppers. The cocktails were also beautifully prepared and the red wine that was recommended to accompany the duck was also a perfect match. Oh, and we share the chocolate cake which was moist, and rich and wonderful. Truly a great addition to not only the West Village but to the city. Can't wait to go back again.
The food, service and atmosphere were exceptional!! Happy hour was an added bonus. My new go to place in the West Village.
Didn’t like the amount of oil on the bread they serve with the olive tapenade and the riccota. Besides that the burger was great and the happy hour prices r reasonable. The happy hour only applies to the bar and the front part of the restaurant, be aware before making a reservation
Great ambiance, cozy, great food. Never too crowded, a bit off the beaten path.
Excellent experience. Drinks at the bar pre-seating in the dining room (a must in my opinion rather than the front...) and then a delicious meal with good service. The scallops and steak au poivre were very very good. We will certainly be returning, especially for their 4:30@4:30 HH.
Pleasant service and good food in a cozy environment.
The service and atmosphere made up for the food. I had the duck. Two very tiny legs with little meat. Basically it was crispy skin atop bone. I asked for greens instead of the rice with which it normally comes and the kitchen was amenable. However the greens were extremely oily. My date had the pasta bolognese which he said was incredibly salty—and he loves salt! So it truly must have been salty for him to make mention of it. The service was great, the atmosphere lovely, and we’ll definitely try it again because it’s in the ‘hood. However we will NOT be ordering the duck or the pasta and meat sauce.
A great date spot or night of fine dining.
Quintessential West Village spot. Great food and ambiance. Recommend: gratin app, bolognese pasta, scallops and chocolate cake!
This was a great find in the West Village. The service was spot on, the noise level low and the food delicious. It was nice to dine in a restaurant where I didn't have to strain to hear the person across from me. It's a relaxing atmosphere with a varied menu. Everything was great.
Took my mom out for her birthday, and The Leroy House was the perfect place! Our food was delicious and our server was outstanding!
