The Leroy House
Everything was great we were a table of 4 adults and 4 youths and they made everything perfect,
Food was delicious and great cocktails
Great nabe spot
Brilliant! Loved all of it
Great meal and service. Highly recommend
Easy Open Table reservation process, greeted & seated right away, spotty service from a male waiter who was more interested in the table of females next to us. Outstanding three courses of food- well worth the inconvenience of a distracted waiter. The cocktails were great too! A definite return is in order (with the correct waiter/waitress).
I had another wonderful dinner at The Leroy House the other night. Everything we ate - the raw oysters and goat cheese appetizers, salmon and sea bass entrees and the side dish of sautéed mushrooms - was delicious and the service was great. The Leroy House is one of my favorite places to go. It's a "grown up" restaurant, where one can catch up with friends, enjoy amazing food, and have a relaxing, enjoyable night. Thanks, Leroy House!
Really didn't know what to expect (found the restaurant through OpenTable). Walked in an was immediately given a choice of tables - they even offered to put us outside (which I had requested via OpenTable) if we waited a little bit. Great food, cozy as hell (can't wait to go there in the Fall/Winter), noise level was high, but acceptable. Would definitely go there again.
Great restaurant! Went for our anniversary and was really pleased. Duck and ribeye were delicious as well as everything else. Brought us champagne on the house. Sat outside and it was quiet enough to have an intimate dinner.
Good except like so many places, it was too noisy. Otherwise it was very good.
Had a lovely night with friends - great food and drinks, friendly and excellent service!
Lovely place with a great staff and very personable / attentive owners.
We went here for a belated Fathers Day brunch. I picked it based on the location, menu and great service reviews. Suffice it to say that the service is top notch! The most attentive service I think I may have ever seen from the wait staff at a restaurant. Food was very good. Will definitely be back.
Our first time dining at LeRoy House and not the last. We were seated promptly even though we were early. A very pleasant hostess and very good waitress. My filet mignon was excellent. Better than many steakhouse restaurants we have been to in the city. All around a wonderful dining experience. We will return.
A very charming restaurant--soothing ambiance, carefully prepared food and thoughtful menu. I'd go back tomorrow!
I love this place, food is great, tasty cocktails, and family friendly
This place was outstanding for a date. The decor is sophisticated, the service was excellent and the food/menu is well rounded (lots of choice and not typical) while at the same time being expertly prepared.
This place is a gem. Perfect for a date night or a special group dinner.
Fantastic all around. Chic, delicious, great cocktails great service!
The food so fresh and it was even better than my first visit. Everything was done to perfection...the pasta with seafood, the smoked andouille sausage, the duck confit, and the homemade ice cream (with the perfect butter cookie!). The restaurant is beautiful, elegant with touches of relaxed comfort. The service was very attentive...the waiter was spot on and the owner visited with us and was so warm and charming. We would up making friends with the people at the next table. Loved the food and atmosphere and will go back regularly.
Amazing service and the cutest place ever
I've been there twice. Both times the service and food was excellent.
We celebrated a birthday and the food was delicious. The salmon, the duck & the fava bean pasta were standouts.
Our compliments to the chef and the gang at the Leroy House!
We had a wonderful meal at The Leroy House. The steak was cooked to perfection and the bolognese was delicious. They also have a great selection of wines. New gem in the West Village, we will be coming back!
Great relaxed and cozy atmosphere, easy to have a relaxing quiet dinner
very disappointed overall in the food and service - would not go back
I would hesitate to recommend The Leroy House. We went because a friend highly recommended it. The food was reasonably good and our waitress tried hard, but the service was very poor. She apparently had too many tables - and she also mentioned that their system was down - but she disappeared and we had to wait and wait later in the meal and to get the bill. The people at the table near us were really peeved because they didn't even get their first round of drinks for over 30 minutes! I would probably try it again, but our first experience was not great.
Beautiful ambiance, perfect for date night !!
I had the spaghetti Vogole which was spectacular and my Husband had the Duck which was absolutely delicious!!! This Sweet little place is a gem !!
We dined on a Tuesday evening, with not too many other guests. Very pleasant ambiance. The menu is very extended with a great variety of options. The oysters, salmon and steak mignon we ordered, were not only tasteful but also very nicely presented. Prices are very reasonable. The staff were very attentive, without bothering us too often. In summary, a lovely, satisfying experience!
Great experience, very attentive service. I had mentioned it was a wedding anniversary and they placed us at a nice and quiet table and offered a glass of champagne. Nice attention !
On our double date, we had 2 ducks, sea bass & the chicken! We all loved our entrees. I highly recommend the mezzi rigatoni cacio e uova pasta dish - spring peas, fava beans, black pepper, it was a great starter dish!
The restaurant was absolutely beautiful!
My sister and I went before seeing a show! It was incredible. We’ve both been in NYC for a few years and will 100% be back. The atmosphere was great & the service was even better!
My Husband went here with a bunch of his friends for his birthday and he came home raving about the food and dining experience. We will definitely be going back.
The place is nicely done up but the server didn't know the menu very well and couldn't answer basic questions about the oysters on the menu (not even their names); we waited 10 minutes after being seated to get water, and even then we had to ask for it when the hostess gave water to the table next to ours that had been seated much after we were, but ignored our empty water glasses. The food itself was just ok -- the filet was over $40 and just not worth it; the pasta was mediocre and not very flavorful; the burrata was probably the best, but not amazing. Not worth the price ($170, including tip, for two mains, an appetizer, and three drinks for two people).
We have been to Harwood on Hudson a few times, including twice very recently. Each time we had a couple of guests with us. The food is great, from appetizers to dessert. We’ve had fish and steak dishes, plus salads and various appetizers. All are tastefully prepared and served. Service is very friendly and attentive without being smothering. This is now a favorite of ours when we go downtown.
We really enjoyed our visit. Arrived at 6:45 and were seated promptly. Very attentive service and the room is quite lovely. The room gradually filled up, but it didn't look like anyone was kept waiting for food. The menu is brief but well varied. The calamari appetizer was light and smooth textured. The house made potato chips are a must, with a nice warm crisp and a vinegary flavor. I had the sea bass (locally sourced from Montauk) that was moist, lightly potato crusted, and well seasoned on a bed of vegetables. My friends shared the prime rib for two, which was cooked to the right temperature, but they said they would have enjoyed a more caramelized crusty exterior. Had a delicious citrusy crème brulee for dessert. Would definitely return.
Hostess was very welcoming. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious. Would come back to try more of their menu.
Good place for a cozy dinner. We live in the area and haven’t tired this place yet, but was a great surprise. The food was delicious and original. A little noisy, but that was fine and wasn’t obnoxious level.
They treated us like royalty! We will be back!
Delicious food in a lovely setting. A bit pricey for what is served but it was yummy.
Since we summer on Shelter Island and go to Vine Street once a week, we were looking forward to trying Harwood on Hudson - a very cozy, warm + inviting atmosphere with delicious food!
