Wonderful ambiance, could improve on the menu execution.
The food was not vey good, pack of flacos and the Meet Over cooked
Food was very disappointing, but setting remains beautiful and servers were excellent.
Terrific! This is a special place, great food, great atmosphere
Outstanding - great place for out door dining - away from the traffic & noise of the neighborhood. Food is delicious. But it is getting too pricey. It's getting out of hand. A pasta dinner, a shared salad and a glass of wine should not come to $100 per person. We would rather pay $75 twice than $100+ once - but that what we'll have to do.
the amuse bouche (pea soup) was lovely, and the gnochi with crab was absolutely unbelievable
Also the bar drinks are well-crafted
What a great meal
A wonderful dining experience before a show. Can’t wait to go back
Outside dining is really exquisite here. Food is always good, wait staff always lovely. Highly recommend!
The Leopard is perhaps the best Italian restaurant in NYC. Classic and refined Neapolitan cooking. No stupid gimmicks. Just the freshest ingredients and flawless execution. It was our first time here but won’t be our last. Everything was delicious!! Hugh recommend.
We had two guests who did not show because they thought the date was the next night. However, everyone was super nice.
My wife loved the duck breast we would be delighted to know their supplier.
The food was amazing the ambiance was beautiful.
Ugh such a bummer. I was excited to try the leopard with my family who were visiting from out of town and it was a real flop. It’s really unenjoyable to pay premium prices for an average experience and that’s exactly what happened. Multiple times, it was difficult to track down our waiter. He rushed us to place our dinner orders and then disappeared leaving us waiting for quite some time to order drinks (like…the appetizers arrived and we were still waiting to order drinks). I don’t know why we were pushed to place or orders in this way but it seemed like to ask to do it another way was an inconvenience for him or the kitchen or someone. That was odd. I ordered the Fountain of Youth cocktail and it tasted like perfume. Really unbalanced, super super heavy on the St. Germain. I wondered if someone’s had had slipped on the bottle and didn’t bother to correct it. I really should’ve sent it back but instead a 19 dollar drink sat virtually untouched in front of me all night. My fault. Others had wine which good. The mafalde dish was really very good, as was the potato appetizer. The spinach was simple and good, but for the price, there was so little in the dish. The pulpo, risotto of the day, and the spaghettoni were fair. Tiramisu was ehh…served with fruit that was 90% plain, cut up grapes on the side?? Weird garnish but ok. I had asked to sit outside (and even after changing my reservation time was told it wouldn’t be a problem) but when we arrived we were seated indoors. It’s a nice classic Manhattan vibe inside. I wish just one aspect of the experience had been solid but overall I left feeling really disappointed.
Great! Delicious food good service
The best outdoor set-up in all of New York and the landmark, world-renowned Howard Chandler Christy Murals inside will only add to enjoying the best food in New York!
Outdoor seating at the Leopard is attractive, and being on a side street, it is relatively quiet. The service is pleasant and fairly attentive. The food is good but far from outstanding. What was featured in the menu as trout was more like a fresh water salmon (pink) and served very rare which was not expected. The risotto was very much enjoyed by our guests. Also, the desserts were very good.
Lovely in all respects. Friendly professional service, wonderful food and very relaxed charming setting outside. Lasagne was especially good
My wife's appetizer of mozzarella was basically tasteless. Mine, pasta with clams, was heavy and oily. Main course of duck was tough to chew, and my sole was good but again, not worth the cost. Desserts of Zabaglione were weakly tepid, and cappuccinos were warm, not hot. Yes, the fish was boned at the table, and the dessert cooked in front of us as well.
But when we had a negative about each course, it was a non-enjoyable meal on too many levels to be the pleasure we would expect for the price.
Delicious food. Love the Sunday night program when you can BYOB. Wonderful service.
I have been here twice before during the pandemic and I have found the location and the food on the previous occasions to be outstanding which was why we chose it to celebrate the birthday of a special friend.
Last night it was abominable other than the Caprese salad appetizer. The drinks weren’t good, and the vegetarian option which I chose which was a bit ravioli was perhaps the worst maincourse I have ever had the dissatisfaction of eating and yet I didn’t complain about it because the wait staff didn’t really seem to care and I wasn’t in the mood to mix it up with them.
It was drenched in oil and soggy and disgusting.
Additionally, the penne. Real bolognese special was also not particularly good although I didn’t eat it but my husband and our friend did and so at the end of the day I will not be returning to this extremely overpriced restaurant.
We absolutely enjoyed our wonderful dinner. Our beautiful serene table added to the ambience and the service was perfect, attentive but allowed us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. The black truffle salad and scallops were a perfect taste of fall and very memorable. I can’t wait to return!
Lovely space, very attentive service, expensive for what you are getting. Food was good, but the menu was rather limited.
Still great food , but lost it on service
The meal was exquisite! The service was superb. It was truly an excellent dining experience.
This restaurant has the ambiance of a very fine dining area. We have been here multiple times. Outside dining as well as inside are comfortable and distanced for the safety of diners.
The staff are attentive.
We enjoyed the fish which was prepared table side, as well as the delicious truffle risotto.
Always a great experience and our local favorite.
Food was very mediocre. Service was also not great. It was a pretty place but wouldn’t go back.
The food was excellent. We arrived before our reservation at 6:30 we had tickets to see a Broadway play at 9:00. Waiter seemed to want to upsell everything -water, wine, food including taking my water glass with water left in it since I didn't order another bottle.
He quit attending to us after bringing dessert. He finally delivered bill and then didn't return for twenty minutes. We had to ask hostess to help us pay the bill, and then had to rush to make the play.
Both the food and service was excellent. It's a bit pricey but great for special occasions.
It is a lovely restaurant with wonderful ambiance and service. There are not a lot of vegetarian options and the ones offered weren’t as appealing as they could have been.
Even though said was a special occasion when we arrived they started to seat us at the table by itself in. A corner a step from entrance check in Horrible spot declined and no one wound up sitting there all night.
Waiters are professional but brusque and when asked for wine recommendations start at 200 dollar bottles. Food was good but if you are not part of the regular crowd pass for somewhere else. Too expensive for such lackluster attention.
The service and atmosphere was wonderful but for this visit the food was bland. The new menu did not thrill and the veal chop that was meant to come with a Marsala sauce had none and the chop was t chewy and bland.
Just not the normal standard for the Leopard which is a favorite of ours
The food was great!
We love the food, service and ambiance! A bit pricey but the specialness made it worth it.
We felt very pampered. The ambience is so beautiful and peaceful. The food was great, couldn’t have asked for a nicer evening. We actually had planned to eat outdoors but it was pouring rain and they were happy to accommodate us indoors and we felt very comfortable eating indoors as the tables are nicely spaced. On the other hand, all the people that were eating outdoors seem to be perfectly happy because they have created sheds that are protective against the weather. We will be back soon!
The food was excellent. The service impeccable and timely....not rushed nor not delayed...right on time. Very pleasant evening.
Had to wait an hour past our reservation time. Were finally seated next to the exhaust vent for the building, which pumped out stale air onto our table and was deafening. After that it was very difficult to get a waiter’s attention. 2 ½ hours of this was way more than enough.
extraordinary cuisine, service and presentation. A true gourmet meal in a fine outdoor area.
The outside tables at The Leopard at des Artistes are a magical place. The food is excellent and so is the service. My favorite spot on the Upper West Side.
Wait staff overwhelmed with other large Bday party and other tables, and our service was not focused; we had to continually ask to have wine glasses refilled, (white wine was served room temp) and so they put it on ice, but none would check to see that we were enjoying the wine with our food, and so we had to seek them out to refill, and to plead to order additional bottles. Waiter was distracted, didn’t listen that we wanted to start with Antipasti platter for the entire table with our wine, BEFORE our pasta first courses, and then our main courses, they brought out the appetizer platter with our pastas, so we refused the antipasti since we wanted to enjoy our pastas while they were still hot, they basically rushed our evening, and we would of certainly had more wines and drinks, if they had been paying attention to our table of four.
