We really enjoy this restaurant. The food is always very good, and they change up the menu seasonally. Nice atmosphere.
New chef -- more selections on the menu and specials. Entree was very delicious.
Fine, sophisticated, relaxed dining with great food and impeccable service. Sunday BYO wine lowers Leopard’s usual high dinner cost. None of the loud frenzy of many NYC top restaurants.
How can you not love dining in the old Cafe des Artistes?!
Divine, simple cuisine with ingredients. Waitress a bit hard to understand and didn't allocute options well or add up the check correctly. Everything else, very lovely.
It’s Expensive but worth it fine dining at its best.
We always love our dinners at what for us remains Cafe Des Artistes. It is a very special place. I was a little distressed that Saturday night when we arrived the noise level was very high and made it difficult initially for us to hear each other...but it got better as people left for the theatre. Will come on weekdays as we used to from now on...Thank you.
One of my most memorable meals to date. Absolutely amazing service, beautiful atmosphere, interesting and delicious cocktails, food was to die for!
The problem with the restaurant is the noise level. The service and food were wonderful. As it was Sunday, we brought our own wine as there is no corkage on Sundays. In fairness to the restaurant, we were seated in a corner next to an unusually loud group. I don’t know how management could do much,
Wonderful ambiance;great food;gracious service and live jazz guitar make for an unusually fine table experience.
Service is outstanding, as is the decor. Classic Italian dishes. The pastas are the way to go.
The best service ever.
It was the first time that we went there for live jazz brunch. The food was as great as at dinner and ambience was cozy and peaceful. The music wasn’t really jazz (Spanish guitar) yesterday but very subtle and beautiful. Unlike many other places, the noise level was comfortably minimal (night too quiet). Need to go back!
Beautiful restaurant and good service. The pasta’s (3dishes) were good one was great. The salad was creative but a little salty.
What a lovely restaurant! The service is impeccable. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary surrounding by beautiful murals and the food was delicious. Great choice for a special occasion.
Great as always
Dover Sole best I have ever had!!
Fountain of youth cocktail Amazing!!
The Leopard at Des Artistes is a true NYC treasure - Henry and Mario do such a great job and the Leopard is the pinnacle of fine dining in NYC on the Upper West Side. Bravo!
The food with the exception of the lentil soup was not anything I would return for. The branzino was mushy and flavorless. The pasta special with the veal cheeks lacked flavor and sufficient veal cheeks. The octopus had very little meat .The lasagna was also flavorless and fell apart in the dish.Sever was inattentive as it took 3 trips to get a wine list.
While two of the specials -- tomatoes with mozzarella and vitello tonato -- are a bit strange for February, the food and service were exemplary.
Most beautiful & romantic restaurant in NYC where tables are not crammed together. food is superb Sunday special allowing one to bring their own wine increases the value and adventure.
Was a solid B. Food is good but expensive for what it is. Cocktails were not good so would recommend doing wine. Service was lovely.
Excellent neighborhood gem! We went for Valentines Day--very special. Also we have been there many times. Brunch on Sundays special too with live music. Great food and wine list as well!
They tried. The pasta was chewy, crunchy, and over seasoned. The staff was gracious and accommodating. The space is lovely.
Our very first Valentine's Dinner was absolutely lovely! From coatcheck to dinner check the staff was courteous, attentive, friendly. and efficient. Kudos to the Sommelier for his wine recommendation. The food and presentation was amazing. Lighting and banter were at a perfect pitch. Great atmosphere full of couples and families in love.
Highly highly recommended!
We'll be back!

Attentive service and excellent cuisine and ambiance.
The food was good but not spectacular. The sommelier was exceptional: asked us what we like in wine and made an excellent suggestion. The physical setting with the murals and was interesting and unusual. The service was excellent attentive but not unctuous. I’d go back.
Perfect! Went for dinner before the opera. Pacing worked out just right and the Veal Milanese was excellent! And terrific wine recommendation.
Very disappointing. It was a special occasion. The restaurant itself is lovely. The service was fine. The food however was very under whelming. The main course veal was very tough and not even warm. It was restaurant week with only 3 choices for appetizers and 3 for main courses. You would think that the food would be excellent to encourage people to come again. This certainly was not the case.
We took advantage of the last night of Restaurant Week. It is a beautiful large space and the service was good and the dishes were excellent. Every morsel from the scrumptious Fried Mozzarella appetizer served with chicory to the cod entree on a bed of spinach and finely chopped potatoes and red peppers to the tender subtle cheesecake (happily more cake than noticeable cheese) was memorable. Only quibbles I have is that the greens with the mozzarella were not listed as chicory and my dinner companion's salad was supposed to have chicory but didn't have it. Also there are a lot of little steps in the restaurant. So caution is urged when walking around towards the bathroom. Otherwise a wonderful experience!
Wonderful venue, professional staff, amazing menu and delicious food.
Fantastic in every way- Food . wine and service. Saluti
The salad was perfectly dressed (olive oil & salt). The carbonara was perfectly cooked (not too heavy and al dente). Service was excellent!!
We were so pleased that it was restaurant week true! We had booked the restaurant because of the murals, I wanted to show a friend from out of town what a classic New York restaurant it’s like
Excellent food in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend although it is pricey.
Ambience and service was impeccable
Food was not even edible on restaurant week menu
Lovely dessert and coffee however
Don’t go there for restaurant week
Grand Dame for the Upper West Side as the reincarnation of Cafe des Artistes; ambiance remains classy in a classical way and the menu is wide with options, well presented and rightfully seasoned.
Food was okay but service was not good. Our server talked with an attitude. Not impressed
Outstanding service and communication with all wait staff
