My new favorite of all time! Wonderful everything.
Normally a fan of the enterprise. Disappointed by service (sub par for the place) and setting (it was freezing cold), particularly in the face of a really big bill.
Everything was great on a very busy night in December 2021. The food was excellent, as was the knowledgeable service. The wine list is well structured with lots of reasonable and high end choices, showing wines from different regions of Italy and elsewhere, and putting them in sequential order from low prices to high. Not something that one sees every restaurant where they bounce around from high to low. Prices for the meal and the wine list are reasonable for a restaurant of this calibre. Look forward to going back another time.
MmIt makes choosing
Wonderful food, attentive waitstaff, and a beautiful setting. A special place for a special occasion.
Absolutely exceptional in every way!
The Leopard at des Artistes is a wonderful place to dine.
It was my first time and I'm definitely coming back.
Wonderful spot for any reason. The feeling of classic Manhattan surrounds you. And those fabulous murals!
Excellent range of Italian cuisine served by highly professional staff in landmark setting. Especially notable wine list.
We, my daughter who is a doctor relocating to NY, and two other women arrived promptly at 5:00 just as the restaurant was opening. We were actually the fist ones to be seated and were shown to the worst table in the house (right next to the open and very busy service area). I do not know which was more insulting - being seated at that table when every other one was open, or having the waiter tell us how lucky we were to be at the "best table" in the house. At the request of my dining companions I did not insist on being moved.
As we left I noticed that the 2nd worst table (the one next to ours) and the table right by the busy entrance we both occupied solely by women. I am pretty sure that was not just a coincidence.
I have been to the Leopard many times with friends that always included men and always had a good table.
I took my daughter to The Leopard so she could experience "old world" dining - I guess she got it!
Visited today for brunch. Iconic building and location. Beautiful murals inside. Service was top notch and polite. We lingered for quite a while with no pressure to move along. A very nice experience overall! I’ll be returning!
My friend and I received excellent customer service, ate lunch in the first shed—an exquisite setting for outdoor dining; and enjoyed delicious food. Thank you.
Amazing service and food
Celebrated our anniversary and were thoroughly impressed! Looking forward to going back.
Cafe Des Artistes used to be one of regular places to dine. It’s been many years and my return visit couldn’t have been any better!
Food and the service was outstanding!
I will be coming back many times!
The Leopard was a fabulous experience. Our group of 3 was greeted warmly - although this is a “fancy” restaurant, each staff member and our waiter in particular were extremely friendly, helpful, gracious and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious. And the murals adorning the walls (painted by a friend’s family member) have been lovingly restored and are beautiful. Highly recommend.
Had a pre baller dinner here and it was spectacular
Food was absolutely amazing and the service was top quality
If you are looking for a great restaurant for pre or post Lincoln center shows this is the best option
Pricy but well worth every penny’ You will not be disappointed!
A beautiful space graced by the murals from the 1930’s and the original Cafe des Artistes - I dined at the original several times and this is a wonderful successor. The sparkling rose was a lovely start along with octopus and several other delicious appetizers. The Dover sole with spinach was perfectly boned at the table and delicious. The pork loin was a large portion and equally good. The polenta with truffles was yummy. And the olive oil cake with blood orange was great. We loved every thing and plan to return soon.
We had a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable and the food delicious.
Special in every way!
Service of Dover sole was especially skillful and a joy to observe
Excellent food and correct service. Outdoor table was a good option to enjoy Thanksgiving day
Truly great restaurant. Octopus could have been better. Service was great. Wish they had a more varied wine selection in the Rose category.
We always make a reservation when we are in town. This time our visit was a post opera meal at a very late hour - the food, as always was exceptional, the staff professional, in the non-rushed, welcoming elegance that we have come to love.
Beautiful dining experience throughout the entire night.
Celebrating a birthday with family. Everyone loved their meal! Service was excellent. We love this restaurant and come here often since we live in neighborhood.
Great Outdoor option for dining even in the winter.
We went to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday after a show. I wanted someplace very special and it did not disappoint!!! There were six of us and the service was fantastic. I would highly recommend.
Excellent service. Dined outdoors. Pasta and bronzino crudo excellent.
Nicola is great!
It was a wonderful bday celebration.
Beautiful ambience less than distinguished italan food efficiently served. My pasta sauce spaghetti with duck a special had an odd flavor .My wifes' lasagna also was mediocre in flavor .We had no opportunity for feedback and frankly the tastes were really just mediocre and theree;fore dissapointing.
First time back since the fire/renovation/new owners. It was great. The staff was extremely nice and the atmosphere was just what we expected, great as well
All four of us had the Dover Sole (special that night), and it was delicious. The Brussels Sprouts with the fish were nicely cooked, but we didn't think they were the best accompaniment. A side order of spinach was very good. As appetizers, the spaghetti carbonara was as good as we've ever had (and better than I can make). Zabaglione and berries was made table side, delicious, and very generous.
I am obsessed with struncatura: Multigrain spaghettoni, shrimp, neonata, lemon
It was louder than I expected, but we enjoyed. Was celebrating my spouse’s promotion. Food was delicious!
Just a great place for a special dinner, or a pre-theater meal. The service is knowledgeable, fast, and friendly. The kitchen excellent, and the wine list quite good! Highly recommend!!
Spectacular place, the food is delicious there.. Highly recommend it!
My girlfriend bday experience.
A very enjoyable evening!!
It was my pick for my birthday dinner, still nervous that my husband wouldn’t like it……
But he was more than pleased!
Relaxing delicious brunch
