Lovely environment, very upscale in a traditional way. Fish special (sole) was excellent; duck breast not so much. Certainly worth a try for a special occasion but wouldn't be my choice for multiple visits...
My favorite neighborhood gem for intimate dinner and the best Italian food
Thanksgiving was terrific at Leopard! I had the traditional Thanksgiving Diner and Mom had the risotto! Just fabulous! Service is always outstanding as well as the food! This restaurant never disappoints!
Lovely ambience, attentive service, but we ordered the traditional Thanksgiving plate and it was, frankly, pretty bad.
We have going for thanksgiving dinner at The Leopard for over 10 years and it has always been great. The food, the service and the ambiance was awesome.
It was a lovely and delicious experience with the perfect ambiance.
Four of us celebrated Thanksgiving at The Leopard. We all enjoyed the turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and toasted the occasion with Prosecco and white wine. The desserts were zabaglione, tire misu and a cake with limoncello.
Everything was perfect on Thanksgiving Day! Not only did Chef Vito Gnazzo come to our table to check on us but he also was a delight to speak to about the history of the restaurant and his experience as a chef. We enjoyed everything!
Top restaurant on the west side. It's the go-to for a fine dining experience in a beautiful environment
The $ 55.00 menu doesn’t exist.
Everything was as it should be with wonderful food heading the list. And it was nice to have dinner with the historic ladies gain.
We had a very enjoyable evening. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding.
Disappointed. Was looking forward to a wonderful meal before a MET performance. Service and atmosphere is fantastic, food not up to par. Chef needs to go back to culinary school - I say this without being sarcastic. Just uninspiring and bland. Went to Craft the following night, and the comparison is extreme.
Sad so say, I don't think I will return. Better off going to Lincoln Ristorante.
Very comfortable and relaxing, low key environment. The front of house and wait staff are serious professionals who make one feel right at home. The food is, by and large, top notch and the wine list amongst the best the most reasonably priced in the city.
Appetizers were excellent as well as the lamb entree. Special pasta with lamb and fish dinners were mediocre.
Service was superb.
We have long desired to dine at The Leopard, and had occasion Saturday evening with our son, pre Lincoln Center. And the first 5 minutes seemed to confirm our anticipation, where we were greeted graciously, coats swiftly checked and seated in the lovely surroundings. But the remainder of the experience was to witness how quickly the staff could turn over the table. The staff hovered in a predatory manner, removing our apps plates before my wife was done. Literally removed her salad while she had fork in hand to snatch up the last of the frisée. They had already brought entrees prior to apps being removed. Twice the Maitre D reviewed our eating progress. Dinner was essentially over in less than an hour, and this knowing we were being rushed and tried to put the breaks on.
As for food quality of the six dishes only two stood out. The Gnocchi was fabulous, as was the lamb ragout pappardelle. The barley soup was inspired by Dickens; my sole special tasted like it was last Wednesday’s held over special as well.
I get it, that we are not regulars and it’s a Saturday, but we were rolled. Never to return.
Good food, excellent, friendly service, above average ambience. the best choice for the Lincoln Center area.
We always spend our last evening in NYC at The Leopard. Food, staff, attention to detail and friendly atmosphere keeps us coming back. .
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A very good value near Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center.
Outstanding service and interiors, but the food is way too pricy
The Leopard is always a pleasure. Attentive service, perfect cocktails and delicious food, plus you can have a conversation.
We have never seen staff work in such a precision fashion.
Everything about our evening was perfection from beginning to end. Bravo to all.
Estupendo lugar ! Debe ser considerado entre los cinco mejores para aquellos que viajan con cierta frecuencia a NY
Always a pleasure to go! Not sure if my wife or I enjoy it more. This time the staff was even more accommodating.
Thanks for a wonderful start for our Sunday!
Had to wait about half an hour to be seated for reservation, but after that all went well.
Excellent services. The experience and atmosphere of The Leopard is unparalleled. 5 stars.
Dinner was fantastic from start to finish. Service was impeccable and staff was knowledgeable about the menu. I’m 8 months pregnant and the waiter offered me a mock tail so I can still feel like I was able to enjoy a drink which I greatly appreciated.
We ordered the grilled octopus salad and beet and kale salad. Both were outstanding. We had swordfish for one main and I had the pappardelle and lamb ragout special which was amazing. And the chestnut semifreddo was something differed we though we’d try and it was such a great choice. Really enjoyed our experience. Service was quick but did not feel rushed at all.
I recommend it for jazz brunch on Saturday or Sunday
My husband and I love this restaurant! Never disappoints!
A neighborhood gem on the upper Westside. Never disappoints. Great food, ambience and service!!
Could not have loved it more: the location, the ambiance, the Howard Chandler Christy murals, the service, the menu, the wine list, the entire experience was first rate. Easily recommend this fine dining establishment to all. Our fresh Dover sole was perfectly prepared and served.
We live next door and love the Leopard. We have never had anything other than a wonderful meal there.
I would highly recommend it, but not if you are on a budget.
A perfect dinner. The food was wonderful and all the service couldn’t have been better. Of course it’s a little pricey but certainly reasonable for Manhattan. And the restaurant itself is lovely
Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. I’ve been there a few times over the years, but this time was an all time low. The waiter was obviously upset that I wasn’t drinking alcohol even though the other people in my party were drinking. He even made three comments about why I wasn’t drinking. Wow! The food was mediocre at best. The bill was $440.00 for three people with three starters, three entrees, one dessert and three glasses of wine. There are some great five star restaurants for that price point. Planning to follow up with the restaurant to see if the waiter padded the bill.
Very overpriced for the brunch food they serve.
The place itself is nice and the live Jazz is a great touch. But the brunch is very average and not worth the price.
It has been many years since we dined at was then called the Café des Artistes. We decided to take out of town friends to the current restaurant before our Lincoln Center curtain on Saturday evening. As art lovers, we looked forward to seeing the Howard Chandler Christie murals gracing the restaurant interior.
Upon arriving at 6:15 for our 6:30pm reservation, we were asked to have a seat at the bar. At 7:09, our table was ready, not in the main dining space, but wedged in, facing the bar stools. The noise was so loud from the tightly packed restaurant that our brave server had to scream questions to us; she did a great job. The salads, and risotto were excellent. The vegetable lasagna was probably good when it was made earlier in the day. It looked like somebody had sat on it when it got to us.
All in all, this was a horrible restaurant experience with excellent food in a "pack 'em in, who cares how
loud it gets" setting. Wait for a blizzard, and go on a week day, and maybe you can enjoy both the murals.
and the very good food.
Second time we've been there and it became one of my wife's favorite restaurants. Great service, good food, upscale restaurant and is not a noisy yuppie place.
Great experience all around!
Excellent food and exceptional service.
