The Leopard at des Artistes
My favorite spot in NYC. It’s quiet, service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Love the Dover Sole and the octopus...
Service was great!! And food as well!
Excellent food and service, nice ambiance (though bar is in a truly weird place), good place pre-Lincoln Center, or for a good conversation.
Food only so so. The squid rings in the fish stew were rubbery. The flourless chocolate cake was inedible, the ice cream had gone to Icey
The food was really good! I loved the french toast, but the service was TERRIBLE, literally, there were three tables in total and they took forever to serve us, and bring us food...
Lovely place for brunch. Live music gently playing, delicious food and attentive service.
A superb meal in an iconic place. A great birthday treat.
Wonderfully attentive service and generous brunch servings. And the jazz combo was the perfect accompaniment.
Will never match the original Cafe des Artiste. WAY OVER PRICED!!!!!!!!
I've been there several times and like many places, they have their good days, their brilliant days, and their "so-so" days. The wine list is extensive (very pricey) and my main course was a leg of rabbit on a bed of mushrooms. The rabbit, sadly, was overcooked and a bit dry. The mushrooms were a nice variety (alas, no morels, but you can't have everything).
Must say the place was particularly loud, which is unusual because I've found it to usually be a nice quiet place for dinner. In addition, the service staff are among the best in NYC. One need not try to catch a server's eye, they pay close attention without hovering, and you need merely look up and they (including the Maître d'hôtel) are immediately there. They are also very accommodating about ordering off the menu or making substitutions.
You can figure dinner for two with a moderate wine will cost a few hundred, and as such, I do wish it were a bit quieter, but that's just me looking for something to complain about. It is one of my regular nice places and shall remain so.
Great as always! It never varies...always wonderful!
Super!! We celebrated Father’s Day and it was very pleasant! Service outstanding!
Pretty place and great location near Lincoln Center. Overpriced, but good food. I was not happy when my daughter ordered Sherbet for $16. Also, the coffee was terrible; the worst coffee I have ever had in my life. It must have been the dregs of the pot. But for$169 for lunch, I think they could have brewed a new pot.
My visits to les artistes were always perfect, and i didnt hesitate to take my mother out to the place for dinner when she arrived from Korea. However, seems like there was some private event going on, and the place was LOUD. I was worried every second that she may not be enjoying her time, and my mom even asked me if the place was this loud in my previous visits. Unfortunate we didnt enjoy our time.
Wonderful service, great food and tableside made zabaglione! What a gem!!!!!!!!!
The food is delicious and the service is quite special. The staff is always warm and welcoming and the service is attentive but never intrusive.
Exceptional food and fantastic service.
The food was delicious and the staff was as nice and personable as can be. All around pleasure to dine at the Leopard
This is a very attractive restaurant in a very nice section of the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It was close to the Lincoln Center where we were going after dinner. The charcuterie board we ordered for an appetizer had great selections. My wife ordered a dinner special which was shrimp, asparagus in risotto. It was good but not what she expected from a high end restaurant. Our waiter and the service were top notch and the restaurant was very nice inside. Maybe we just made poor choices from the menu.
Beautiful spot. Great service. The food was just OK. We enjoyed our meal but would not go back.
Great food, excellent wine list. Perfect
Another lovely evening at Leopard
As always a fabulous evening: great food and marvelous service.
Accommodating our reservation of 4 to 5 people. Service was great, food was great but the waiter forgot a couple of things. In the end we had a great time.
Always a treat to dine at this locals' gem. Outstanding service, attentiveness, and superior Italian cuisine.
Always consistent. Friendly service and excellent food. Prix Fixe seasonal menu was superb this time.
Excelente todo ! Servicio outstanding
Great food, great atmosphere. Perfect location for a special dinner. Highly recommended.
We had the best waiter ever. Although we enjoyed ourselves and the wine recommendations were wonderful, the food was very disappointing. The salad was very salty and both our fish dishes were dry. Very disappointing!
Maitre D noticed that my husband was wearing a cochlear hearing aid and immediately escorted us to a quiet table in the back so he would not have a problem with the noise and would be able to hear easily we appreciated that wonderful gesture we love this restaurant
I love the atmosphere of pure elegance and gracious dining. Very good choices on the menu and a wonderful wine list, as well. Gracious service.
Food excellent, but a little pricey Service great
Post opera wonderful Italian food good range of wines by the glass and they stay open late. Extraordinary murals have to be seen even if they are in wonderfully bad taste
Elegant and peaceful, a rare quality these days. The food is well prepared, arrives hot. Service is impressive and constant. The people at the table next to me were uncertain about what to choose, spent a lot of time questioning the waiter, wound up sending back their crab cakes. They were politely listened to and offered another dish. I thought they were unreasonable, but the Leopard staff remained helpful and agreeable with these difficult customers. They certainly annoyed me and disturbed the peace of this otherwise quiet place.
My steak was great, the vegetables fine. I took my cheesecake to go because I was too full. It was delivered in a proper container with very nice utensils.
This restaurant respects its customers and good food. I will return.
We really liked our brunch at the Leopard. Good food, good service and beautiful decor. And the noise level allowed for conversation - wonderful.
We love to brunch here.... the truffle omelet is divine. Outstanding service and gracious ambiance.
Haven't been here since it's been "The Leopard". Was pleased to see that the interior was the same only brighter. Learned that the place is Landmarked and that restorers came in to clean the paintings. Food and service was excellent. Nice guitar player there, too. It was Sunday brunch!
Great place to eat before a Lincoln center event. Ribeye for two is divine
