   We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and The Ledger did not disappoint. They texted me earlier that day to verify the name/spelling of my wife and made her a card with a present on the table waiting for us when we arrived. The amazing experience continued from there! The Manhattan was expertly made and my wife was impressed with the wine selection. We normally don't order appetizers, but the selection was so amazing, we had to try several! You MUST do the Tallow Candle; you read that right, tallow from their amazing butcher selections rendered down, infused with herbs, and burning/melting on a plate with fresh focaccia bread--simply amazing! The meals were all so good, even my daughter had trouble selecting from the list! All that said: the amazing ambiance, food, and drinks, almost pale in comparison to the desserts. Their carrot cake (called "Safety Deposit") was the best carrot cake we've ever had. It transcends normal carrot cake and is their signature dessert for a reason. My son & daughter shared the Baked Alaska (which is nearly impossible to find served anywhere) and was also the best we've ever had. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

   Our favorite local restaurant …hands down! From being greeted when entering, to great service and exquisite food, there’s nothing finer in the local suburbs. We’ll be back soon. Amazing staff!

   The food was great and our server was excellent. My only critique is is the very loud electronic music playing during an 11am brunch on a Saturday—it’s just not necessary. Overall would highly recommend though.

    Do not sleep on this restaurant! We drove almost an hour from Fenton to try this restaurant I kept seeing on Instagram. The food, the service (Luke), the total experience was phenomenal. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. We tried to ton of delicious food, had great cocktails and will definitely be back.
