   This place we found on our last visit to Coventry last year. Having new management, the service and staff were absolutely top notch, they just couldn't do enough for you, now a lot of places I go, service some times is a let down, not here. Now for the food, it was executed brilliantly. Everything tasted beautifully, and presented superbly, the flavours were amazing.

   Excellent food and really fantastic value. Was very quiet but staff were attentive and keen to check everything was ok.

   Wow.....1st class service from start to finish!! All the staff are so friendly, attentive & incredibly hard working. The decor and atmosphere is in a class of its own & the food is exceptional. Manny is a top host and clearly in his element creating such an amazing experience for everyone. I'm so glad we have found you - whenever we visit our family in Cov we will be making a beeline for The Lazy Monkey. Thank you all for making tonight so special 🥰

   A lovely experience for my birthday. All the staff were polite, friendly and the food was excellent. Freshly made and super tasty, I would definitely recommend. The birthday dessert at the end was a lovely touch. Thank you to all for such a great meal.

    Well what can I say about The Lazy Monkey Bar & Kitchen, we arrived at 6.00pm and were seated, we finally got our drinks and meal order taken at 6.20pm, after chasing up where our starters were they finally arrived, at 7.25pm I asked what I can assume was the owner/manger where our food was and he said that as we had order at 6.20pm it would take an hour, I did advise that we were seated at 6.00pm. Nevertheless we waited until 7.45pm where we then decided to get up and leave the restaurant, we went and saw the same person and said that it was shocking to have to wait this long and we were there for my sister in laws birthday and had travel from Wales to celebrate, he apologised and said he was short staffed and said he wouldn't charge for our starters ( we wouldn't of paid anyway ) - I can't say this is a one off incident as two other tables near us complained and said this has happened before. I have to say the two waitresses who worked that evening were run off their feet with no assistance, if what the owner/manager was true that they were short staffed then a simple solution would of been to reduce the number of tables for the evening and give the reduced numbers a good service. Also, customers should have a choice if they wish to sit on a table near to the door to the smoking area, personally we would of preferred not to sit where we were as the door was continuously in use ( nothing against smokers ) and we as well as other patrons felt we were sitting in a thorough fair and a continuous chill and smell of smoke coming in. We were really looking forward to dinning at this restaurant but unfortunately our simple expectations of good food and service were not met.
