I split the chicken parm with a friend, it was cooked well, sauce was tasty.
No salad or bread though
Husband and I went to Laughing Fox to celebrate Valentine's Day. We ordered the Calamari as an app it was great. We both ordered the VDay Special Surf and Turf (Filet Mignon, Lobster Tail, and 2 Shrimp) our filet was cooked to our liking and soo tender. The lobster tail and shrimp were delicious! Our cocktail drinks we oder were delicious too! The manager made his rounds a couple times thanking us for coming in and asking how everything was. When we told him it was our first time there he offered us a tour of th whole restaurant. Who knew it was a 2 floor building. They a spacious banquet room downstairs and serval private rooms for parties and even football room complete with leather recliners and big screen TVs. Definitely a great space. We will definitely be back. Maybe next time for Brunch!
Stopped in for a drink a week or so before Valentines Day bc we drove by and from the outside it looked like a great place to go...and it was. Loved the atmosphere. Bar, tables, couches, a stage! The band came on a little later and it wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t talk to each other. Was just right. Had such a nice time I made reservations for V-tines Day and the food was amazing!! My mom-mom would have been jealous of the Italian Wedding soup! Our waitress was great. Definitely will be back.
Very good food. Steak salad was excellent. I recommend this restaurant.
The reviews were right. This place is not bad but not good. The appetizers (calamari and clams) were tasty but the Ceaser salad was not dressed/spiced well at all. The Margerita pizza was good but one of our entrees (chicken parm) didn't arrive till everyone else was done. The waitress apologized but there's no excuse as it was a slow tues. night. We were one of two tables she was serving. Also, we had to send the chicken back. It was inedible. The cutlet was thick and not very chew-able. The server was very understandable and took it off bill immediately. Even though it was slow we kept having to look for her ... salt & pepper, ketchup etc. And then waited a bit for bill. Everyone is right about the noise level. It was an unpleasant din, not enjoyable partying sounds. It seems that this place doesn't know what it wants to be.
Consider not putting overhead bar music on till 8PM. Also great food, great staff, consider training wait staff with someone with experience and a dedicated trainer. Service was friendly, polite and helpful, however timing was off and service a little lacking. However a training issue NOT a staff issue... its an easy fix. But we truly enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Food was good, service was good, kitchens timing was off. Overall it was a good night and we will return.
It took a while to get service. We had to ask for a waitress. Could not talk the noise level was so loud. The burgers were good but the service and noise left little to be desired. It’s clear that the focus is on the bar.
This was the worst service we have ever had. Needless to say we didn’t get to even drink anything other then the water we got 20 minutes after we were seated. We were waiting a total of 45 minutes and we got nothing so we decided to leave. There were people who had been seated after us and were already ordering. I do not recommend eating here!! Save your money.
I wanted to like it. This restaurant is in a great location for our home and we really do need more non-chain great options around here.
We got the steak and noodle salad and the dressing was WAY too spicy, and I like spicy food. I also got the mussels and the curry was too much. I felt like the people in the kitchen weren’t tasting the food that they were making because the problems with it were so obvious.
The fried pickle appetizer and the calamari were both pretty good appetizers.
The worst part? It was a Friday after a long work week and I just wanted a dirty martini. I don’t know how you go wrong with Kettle One and olive juice. I’ve ordered it and made it a hundred times. For whatever reason- it was terrible! I have never sent back a drink but I had to and it came out again and it was worse. Couldn’t drink it. Server had the courtesy to get it taken off our check.
I want to say we will be regulars but unfortunately, I don’t think we will go back.
Live band friendly staff. Excellent food
Worst overall dining experience! Waited 45 minutes for a glass of water, an hour and a half for a beer and a glass of wine and 2 hours for pizza. Several in our party left without eating. We were there to see a friend in the band so some of us stayed. We go out to dinner regularly and have NEVER experienced just an awful place! We’ll never return.
The place is lovely. Seems like they may need more time to get together the margarita pizza we ordered was cold and over cooked. Our waitress Kelley was very nice and she tried very hard. Seems like a lot of things are out of her control. The band was too loud they might think about having a band after nine you couldn’t hear yourself nor anyone you were trying to talk to.
I’d definitely try again but not right now. The menu is very limited as well.
Place was slammed , a surprise for them.
Good natured help trying to cope.
Will try again if in the area
So the restaurant is beautiful..!!!! It seems like the whole restaurant is very inexperienced...and I do realize it a new place..I came in with a party of 4...we ordered a bottle of wine off the menu they did not have so we ordered a different one..I’m vegan so I thought I would try the Vegan Shepherds pie..I ask the server how it was prepared and she ask the cook...she told me it was prepared with milk and butter..that’s not vegan..!!!!! So I have a difficult time with that... I ordered a salad they did not have vinegar...the rest of my party had crab cake and burger and that was fine...so I think the need to take the vegan Shepherds pie off the menu that’s a big problem in today’s plant based world..
Also I think the manager who was looking at us could have came over to our table just to say Hello..that was so rude
Enjoyed the music!
We had a 6 pm reservation for 2 people and were seated right away in the dining room. We ordered within 15 minutes then waited over 1 hour for 2 appetizers. After appetizers arrived we cancelled entrees and left at 8 pm. So it took 2 hours for entire service. The bar service appeared to move much faster.
The whole experience overall was great!! The food was amazing and our server was attentive. My one complaint, and it’s pretty major, is that I got my meal wrapped to take away. When I went to reheat it the next day, I realized I was given someone else’s food. That was a MAJOR turnoff. I really loved the experience up until that point and it has me pause to think if I’d ever go back.
Neat place. As an FOH manager, it’s hard to dine out but I try to put my best foot forward.
The food - pretty good, husband had the rotisserie chicken, over top of root vegetables, totally on point. I had the vegan shepherds pie, overcooked but not bad, could have used some gravy. The brick oven pizza was good, sauce tasted home made. Had some apps, mediocre. Some dishes lacked execution, but the ones where they paid attention to detail, were very good.
The service - for starters it’s a full service bar. Our server didn’t know what Mic Ultra was, so since she couldn’t find it on the menu my mom had to go with a blue moon....until someone at my table pointed it out to her. The beer not poured properly, zero head. My cocktail was actually very good, but it took almost 20 mins to arrive, I think the server forgot it because once I reminded her it was available quickly, and it was mixed well. We would have drank more alcohol should our server had asked us if we wanted more when glasses were empty. On to food, apps came out timely, followed by two of our dinners. Our pizza arrived appx 35 mins later, both my husband and I were finished our dinners when they brought the pizza out. Our server did not clear any dishes on our table, the owner/manager came out to apologize about the pizza and he kindly cleared all of our finished plates. When the pizza arrived, it was very good. Server didn’t have any table etiquette, did not know the menu, was unable to describe specials and just needs a thorough training on how to be a server.
Overall, if this place can iron out the details, it could be really good. A smaller menu allows for them to
Really focus on what they’re doing, and that is a positive. You can tell a lot more detail went into the food than the service.
May try again in a few months time to see if they’ve worked out service kinks. Staff was very friendly as was management. For a Saturday night, it was not what I’d call busy.
our only comment is that the menu is very limited, we thought there would of been more selections.
Four top tables too small for dinner . Acoustics bad; really loud for dining. Calimari was perfect!
