   It was nice enough. It served a purpose. The reason I’ve given service 3 stars is because we ordered drinks half way through our meal but they never arrived.

   We went to visit the Larder Restaurant in the Hilton on a Thursday evening in February. Although our expectations were not very high from a hotel restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. As soon as we arrived, we were assisted in a proper way and this was done throughout the dinner. I asked for some changes with my main course which was done promptly. Loved the complimentary canapes as well that were brought out. I had the duck breast, my wife the rump of lamb, both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. We'll be back soon!

   Karina was amazing. The food was awesome and the service fantastic! Glad that I had an enjoyable meal here!

   Staff pays attention to detail, works with chef on special requests and does a great job with service. Enjoyable evening out.

   Vegetarian sandwiches provided consisted of cucumber & bread and cheese & tomato, very unimaginative. The sandwiches had been exposed to the air for sometime as they were dry and hard. We were given berries with mould on them. Upon arrival we were ignored at the restaurant reception before finally being shown to a table in the bar. Since we'd booked a table in the restaurant this was not ideal. The consequence of being put in the bar want we had no table service at all, our drinks were not refilled, our plates were not cleared. At any point that we needed assistance we had to go and find a member of staff, for someone with limited mobility this is challenging. To top if off we were then charged a non negotiable service charge for receiving no service!

   The whole experience was very good. We had a working breakfast before an organised event at the hotel.

   Absolutely amazing food at dinner! Had the sea bass, fish and chips, steaks. Great service too!

    Despite booking, and confirming booking, it was evident we were not expected. We had to find a member of staff and when a member of our party mentioned we were a little early (4 minutes early to be precise so not early at all in my opinion) the response was “yes you are”. Not at all welcoming. Afternoon tea was average at best. Would not return.
