I’m still thinking about my salad & steak Sat night so you know I liked it!!! Our waiter was excellent, bread delicious as was the dessert, really everything we tasted we enjoyed!!! The restaurant was pleasantly filled as not that noisy, banquet very comfortable, decor lovely!!! Really one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time!
Great for weekend brunch, especially “pre-theatre.
The staff was attentive and very conscientious of our Broadway show time. Food was perfect and we had a wonderful time
The food and ambience are amazing! Love this place!!
Wonderful dinner overall, the chicken was amazing, and I never order chicken a restaurant, but I am glad I did! The staff very attentive, they read their reservation notes and brought us two truffles with a happy anniversary! Way to have attention to detail! Would certainly go back and definitively recommend.
A true taste of old New York. Perfect pre-theatre place to go. Food and service were outstanding.
Always enjoy a good meal pre theater here.
The dining experience was wonderful. We were given a good amount of resting time in between each course. They were very accommodating with my gluten allergy. B
Very enjoyable meal. Delicious, well prepared food. High end feel and service. Nice selection of menu choices. Friendly, personable staff that made us feel at home. Only "negative" are prices which are a little over the top, even for a high end NYC restaurant, but you know that going in so it is what it is. Would not stop me from coming back, only from doing so with any regularity. Overall a great restaurant that I would recommend.
Great lunch or dinner spot, breakfast as well!! Perfect service
The Lambs Club is an extremely elegant and sophisticated room. The noise level is extremely low - unlike so many New York restaurants, one can actually have a pleasant conversation in this ambience. I would especially recommend it for pre theater dining. The food is superb, the service attentive and friendly and professional at all levels. We had not dined at The Lambs Club for some time and were very pleased to be reacquainted with such a special place.
My guess is that Geoff Z hasn’t eaten here since opening night. One of his deputies should scold the kitchen for their use of what appears to be some pre-made and then frozen food. They should also plug the hole in their salt shaker. I know restaurants are big on salt, but my tongue was numb after 2 arancini. The restaurant is conveniently located for midtown / Times Square needs, and the space is generally nice. The upstairs lounge is particularly refreshing with its live jazz band and tables spaced for comfort. Unfortunately, the menu prices suggest a top level dining experience, and the food quality is more bar/lounge that serves food. Ownership should pick which one they want to be and prepare/price accordingly.
Great menu. All dishes excellent. Nice vibe. Casual but elegant and very comfortable.
Way too overpriced for the amount of food. Gazpacho was just too liquidy. Dessert was nothing great. Strange music playlist.
The food wasn’t very good and extremely salty. My cod was tasteless except for the salt. They served popcorn on our way out that tasted of stale paprika and leftover movie popcorn without the butter. It was an overall strange, overpriced letdown.
Great location for business catch-up meetings, the staff is very attentive, non intrusive and accomodating.
Wine arrived after the meal.
Chicken was undercooked and parts were not chewable. Awful.
Bok Choy was way over cooked.
Huge disappointment as I’ve been many times tho not recently and it was much better.
Sophisticated flavors, excellent service which allowed us both to enjoy the dinner and get to the theater in time. A beautiful room—not sure how loud it would be when full. But at an early pre-theatre dinner it was a pleasure to be able to hear ourselves!
Was not crowded at all - cocktails were not 20 dollar cocktails....the duck was phenomenal.
Great menu, there was several great choices for everyone in our group. Service was attentive and got us to our show with time to spare.
Bench s very deep could use some pillows or cushions for support
Awesome place. A bit bright.
Best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had! The meat was incredibly tender and they show you the brisket before carving it.
I've been there before and had high expectations. The food was pretty but unfortunately it seemed the sous chef in charge had a hole in his salt shaker. The salad was fine but everything else was SOO salty it was inedible. We attacked the food w/ gusto only to realize the problem halfway in - and left feeling like we had been at a salt lick. The staff was kind about it and took some things off the bill but, that is just nuts for a place of your caliber.
The Lambs Club is a much love favorite. The consistent quality of fabulous food, warm, professional service and a relaxed cool ambiance all contribute to memorable mid town moments.
The food was amazing. I had the duck and he had the lamb. Our waiter was very considerate and attentive.
Great supper club feel, excellent wine list, branzino cooked perfectly with crisp skin, no bones and a huge serving.
Food was uncharacteristically mediocre. Cornish game hen undercooked and a lot not eatable. Very unusual for Lamb’Club. We are regulars and will likely return but this was disappointing, particularly at this price.
Birthday celebration. And pre-theatre dinner.
Excellent renditions of classic fare across global cuisines. Service is always impeccable.
Great food for a reasonable price. My wife had the halibut which she was hesitant to order because we live in Juneau, AK with abundant halibut, but the chef prepared it scrumptously. I had the lamb chops which came with a lamb ragu that was to die for.
A definite option for a special occasion. Food made to order and staff very attentive.
Loved the food and the service was wonderful. But the music was awful, it was way too loud and disturbing and the guy couldn't sing.
We always enjoy coming to the Lambs club. Never disappoints
Outstanding food and service! Will be back again!
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.
The evening and the meal were almost perfect. The oysters were divine and both the duck and the lobster spaghetti beautifully presented and delicious.
The only reason I have given a 4 for ambiance is, out table was visited by fruit flys who seemed to wish to share our wine. We were gracious, mentioned it but did not complain. We found it interesting that the hostess chatted with us about the ongoing challenge they have with this issue in Summer, but the waiter acted completely surprised. The music was just a bit loud for our taste and we noticed most people in the room were older, even than us (a wink here,) so I have a feeling no one would have minded if the volume came down a touch, but again, we were absorbed in the flavors, not these little issues. I simply mention them here to give the full experience.
Our waiter, Alan, was delightful and knowledgeable (with the exception of knowing the restaurant has fruit flies...again a wink.) Seriously though, Alan took very good care of us. We were surprised and grateful when he brought a sweet birthday treat for my husband as I had only mentioned on Open Table that we were celebrating a birthday. It was a thoughtful and endearing gesture by the restaurant.
I am sorry I did not photograph the food, but I did manage to take these shots so you can see how happy my hubby was!
Wonderful food and service. Terrific location for a business lunch.
Had gone to another celebrity chefs restaurant the day before. What a surprising change. So much better. Very impressed will definitely come back. Very classy and upscale. The lemon poppyseed cake is delicious but way to big for two people. Have them give you a baby piece.
We eat in manhattan often and we have dined near & around the Lambs Club. My wife is a fan of the show “the Kitchen” & chef Geoffrey Zakarian is one of the chefs on the show. So celebrate her birthday & that she is a cancer survivor for 4 years we made a reservation here in hopes he was there... he wasn’t !
You will notice that I gave it one star short of perfect because .. they serve martini’s in a daiquiri glass !! I need my martini in a V shaped stemmed glass that was iced before poured.
Ok .. that’s out there !
The restaurant design is elegant but not pretentious, the service was spot on from the first visit to our table that felt inviting to our server aware when our water glass needed filling without asking.
I don’t want to do an injustice & describe the food offerings other than the plating was done well, the creative melding of colors & flavors in our meals were to die for.
We will be back but Jeoffery please .. change your martini glasses.
