At The Lambs Club, Chef Geoffrey Zakarian has created a relaxed and inviting restaurant serving updated bar & grill offerings. The main floor dining room is open breakfast, lunch and dinner whereas the mezzanine lounge comfortably accommodates daytime meetings or refined cocktails, bar snacks and a full dinner menu in the evening with banquettes and floor to ceiling windows looking out onto 44th Street. Located within The Chatwal Hotel, The Lambs Club provides room service for the 76 hotel rooms and oversees private dining in various event spaces. This landmark masterpiece was originally built and designed by Stanford White in 1905 and reopened after a major renovation and restoration with every detail overseen by architect Thierry Despont.

We were very pleased with our pre-theater meal at Lamb's Club. Sensitive to our time constraints, the host seated us at a large table when no two-top was immediately available. We were impressed with the creativity of the menu and both the halibut and salmon main courses we ordered were delicious. The Hudson Theater is just across the street so the commute could not be beat.

I'm actually done with this place. This is the second visit and the service and food have definitely deteriorated. The server was frazzled and soft so softly that it was impossible to understand him. He NEVER came around to see how we were doing. The salad was tasteless and very dry. I had to ask for more dressing. The duck was not prepared as I asked.

The petit fours were laughable. For the price of this meal, it should have been Incredible! Sadly it was not.

One of the most appalling services by a waiter that I have ever experienced. My daughter ordered the $46 filet well done. The waiter seemed to be trying to discourage her by saying it would take 30 minutes and asked if she'd like it butterflied instead. She said she didn't mind the wait and did not want it butterflied. He then tried to convince her to order the chicken. She reiterated that she didn't mind. After approximately 15 minutes her steak was brought out and it was butterflied. The waiter did not stop by the table at all to check on how everything was and when we got his attention and pointed out that the steak had indeed been prepared incorrectly , all he said is that he didn't tell them to do that; not would she like another steak or was there anything he could do? Not only was it butterflied, but it was also unevenly cooked and certainly not well done. She asked him to take back part of the steak and cook it further. When he brought it back, once again he didn't stop by to check if the problem has been corrected. When we were able to get his attention again, she asked if she could have some more of the butter that was on the original steak. He then came back with an ice cold serving of the butter to go on the cold steak. He explained that it was cold because they had put everything away for the night. He brought the check and then we asked to see a manager and she explained that the problems were due to the the time of the reservation and that the kitchen was closing. We realize it was late, but it was after the theater and if the service and food we're going to be compromised, they shouldn't accept reservations at that time. She agreed to remove the steak from our ticket but I don't feel as if we should've had to ask.I have never in my life not left a tip, but if ever a service warranted no tip, this was it!! I cannot adequately express our disappointment that this was our final experience of our special mother, daughter trip to New York.

A very pleasant surprise find for a restaurant that has been around a long time. We had a great pre theater brunch in a fantastic ambiance. The only thing that was a negative was the live music. Annoying.

Food is always good, but portion sizes continuously are getting smaller and prices continuously going up. Only staff waiter on duty and service was very negligible. I have gone to this restaurant about 5-6 times, but probably will not be back.

We chose the restaurant as our last dinner in NYC and it was a perfect ending to our perfect visit.

We started with the Aged Steak Tartare and the Heirloom Beets. Whitcraft Chardonnay was perfect - a handcrafted California wine - my absolute favorite and a wonderful surprise to find in NY. Next, we delighted in the Agnolotti then dove into the Colorado Lamb and Filet Mignon - divine! Dinner wrapped up with a cappuccino and the chocolate mousse, with the many textures of yum.

Thanks to our waiter for his excellent service and conversation. The night was memorable!

After watching so many episodes of Chopped, I expected better. Food was good but overpriced for what you got. Wine was terrific, but if you charge $22 a glass, at least serve a healthy pour. Service was horrible. Waiter had an attitude. Wait staff doesn’t understand the basics about elegant table clearing etiquette (don’t clear the plates until everyone is finished and don’t ask me 5 times if I’m finished). And plopped plates on the table like a Jersey waitress serving breakfast in a diner on a Sunday morning. Don’t care how famous you are, if you want repeat business, your service needs to match the price you’re charging. Disappointed.
