Very glad we took a friend's recommendation to try the Lamb's Club. Beautiful room. Great drinks and wine list. Service was attentive though a little slow to start and a little slow to get the check at the end. The food was excellent with good variety on the relatively brief menu. I would definitely dine here again.

Great overall experience before a broadway show. Raw dishes were a bit salty, but burrate salad with copressata marmalade was fantastic. I had the pasta with crabmeat which was delicious, and my husband had the whole sole which was very good, but very rich. Service overall was great, but started to slow down once it got very busy, which is understandable. Overall good experience and will go back.

Went to meet friends for breakfast on my birthday. I was early and they sat me right away which is wonderful and a bit unusual in NYC. Often they will make you wait for your party to be complete. A good pot of coffee was brought out right away. My friends were late but the waiter was attentive in case I wanted anything while I waited. I ordered off of the menu my companions were in the mood for Eggs Benedict which is not on the weekday menu. No problem they whipped up the hollandaise without a care. My friends were just passing through town on their way back to Switzerland so we sat and chatted for 2 hours. We never felt rushed or unattended to. I love The Lambs Club and will always have my birthday breakfast there.

My grandparents and I went here before going to the theater, and it was AMAZING. We raved about the food here more than we did the show we saw after. The Colorado Lamb is incredible, and you have to get the Baked Alaska!!!! It’s out of this world!!!! Zakarian is doing something right

Love Geoffrey Zakarian and this restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Lovely decor with massive fireplace (not burning the night I was there). I'm always impressed when the server is aware of my food allergies before I alert them. I wish all restaurants actually read my profile!!

Not great setrvice. Slow and uninterested. It’s been better on other visits. Live music on Sunday was nice but too loud for table conversation. Terrific if you’d rather not speak to your dining companions. Would have appreciated butter with the toast. Even jam. And it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted coffee and dessert. We did but had to buttonhole passing manager to wrangle some. At these prices one expects better.

Food was wonderful. Our water was never empty, and a dirty plate never stayed on the table for more than a minute. It got busy towards the end of our meal, and took a while to get our check, but the other staff continued to check on us until our server was able to get our check. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for brunch near Times Square.

While the food was delicious, the service was really disappointing. We were running late for our reservation so I called ahead. When I got there, they had marked us as a no show, even though we had called. Then the hostesses proceeded to have an argument while we were standing there. When we were seated, it took several minutes for anyone to approach us. That set the tone for the rest of the meal. We were served by about 3 or 4 different people and our waiter was extremely disengaged and honestly pretty rumpled looking. From the beginning we told them that we had theater tickets, and the waiter claimed to notify the chef of this fact, but we barely got out of the restaurant in time. They also charged us for a more expensive glass of wine and, rather than apologize and acknowledge the error, they did change the check but made sure they told us that we were wrong.
When I made the reservation I noted that we were there for a birthday. My 70 year old father was in town for a very rare visit and I'd hoped to give him a special night. Not only did they never mention the birthday but the service was just so disappointing. It really made what should have been a special dinner an annoying one.

I guess we were expecting to be wowed due to eating in an Iron Chef’s restaurant. Unfortunately it was not a WOW experience. The staff were attentive and wonderful but were out of several items both from the bar and the menu. Food was not bad but not great either.

I love this place. Decor, ambiance and service excellent. The food is very good and perfectly seasoned the food speaks for itself without the tendency in far too many places of over embellishing. We had vegetable sides instead of appetizer and these were clearly well sourced. Oh and the service was just perfect.

We thought the food and service were quite good. Although the sommelier did not offer a taste before pouring our wines by the glass. The halibut was extraordinary, waiter might have ask ed before pouring sauce over each person's dish. Salmon wasn't as tasty. We had the special appetizer, a whole head of cauliflower, that the four of us shared. We will be back.

I was looking for a place to get dinner before a Broadway show across the street. It was a birthday present for my significant other and we needed something close and I read the reviews of some of the places on the block and nearby before settling on the Lamb's Club.

Big mistake. The first sign was the waiter, who immediately insisted that we order ASAP and relax after the show. We had an hour and a half until the show. He continued to be pushy and showed little interest in anything but our knowing what we wanted every time he came to our table.

Then there was the food. The highlight of the culinary experience was the free bread that they brought to the table before the meal. It was pretty good.
The mackerel appetizer, a special, was 4 slices of mackerel on a plate with oil and lemon sprinkled around it. It tasted like plain mackerel on a plate, because that is, in fact, all it was.

Then there was the pasta, which is touted on the menu due to being made in-house. What we got was under-cooked, not al dente, pasta with chewy ends that suffered from the same shortcomings as the mackerel: a complete and utter lack of seasoning. It was, however, drowned in oil, in case you like that sort of thing in your pasta.

Finally, as I mentioned before, this was part of a birthday celebration evening, which I remarked on the reservation. This clearly meant little to nothing to the Lamb's Club or our server as there was no mention or acknowledgement of any kind. Way to make it special guys.

Oh, and we finished our entire dinner (appetizer, drinks and all) with 40 minutes to kill before the show. Good thing we were rushed! Who know what we would have done if we had needed to cross the street with any less time.

This place was complete let down and I would never suggest it to anyone. Total waste of time and money in addition to being an embarrassment on my part.

A beautiful and historic place to take someone who is visiting NYC, or for pre or post theater. I have been going here for years and will continue. My only complaint was the chicken was a bit dry. Skin was perfectly crisp, perhaps to the detriment of the meat. Guess you can't have it all.

We were very pleased with our pre-theater meal at Lamb's Club. Sensitive to our time constraints, the host seated us at a large table when no two-top was immediately available. We were impressed with the creativity of the menu and both the halibut and salmon main courses we ordered were delicious. The Hudson Theater is just across the street so the commute could not be beat.

My husband and I chose the Lambs Club for an anniversary dinner prior to going to the theatre and we were so glad we did. The setting was stylish and elegant and had a lively vibe without its being noisy or interfering with conversation, the food was delicious, and the service prompt and attentive. While the staff was conscientious about helping us make our theatre time we did not feel at all rushed during our meal. All in all it made for a memorable special occasion.

I'm actually done with this place. This is the second visit and the service and food have definitely deteriorated. The server was frazzled and soft so softly that it was impossible to understand him. He NEVER came around to see how we were doing. The salad was tasteless and very dry. I had to ask for more dressing. The duck was not prepared as I asked.

The petit fours were laughable. For the price of this meal, it should have been Incredible! Sadly it was not.

One of the most appalling services by a waiter that I have ever experienced. My daughter ordered the $46 filet well done. The waiter seemed to be trying to discourage her by saying it would take 30 minutes and asked if she'd like it butterflied instead. She said she didn't mind the wait and did not want it butterflied. He then tried to convince her to order the chicken. She reiterated that she didn't mind. After approximately 15 minutes her steak was brought out and it was butterflied. The waiter did not stop by the table at all to check on how everything was and when we got his attention and pointed out that the steak had indeed been prepared incorrectly , all he said is that he didn't tell them to do that; not would she like another steak or was there anything he could do? Not only was it butterflied, but it was also unevenly cooked and certainly not well done. She asked him to take back part of the steak and cook it further. When he brought it back, once again he didn't stop by to check if the problem has been corrected. When we were able to get his attention again, she asked if she could have some more of the butter that was on the original steak. He then came back with an ice cold serving of the butter to go on the cold steak. He explained that it was cold because they had put everything away for the night. He brought the check and then we asked to see a manager and she explained that the problems were due to the the time of the reservation and that the kitchen was closing. We realize it was late, but it was after the theater and if the service and food we're going to be compromised, they shouldn't accept reservations at that time. She agreed to remove the steak from our ticket but I don't feel as if we should've had to ask.I have never in my life not left a tip, but if ever a service warranted no tip, this was it!! I cannot adequately express our disappointment that this was our final experience of our special mother, daughter trip to New York.

We chose the restaurant as our last dinner in NYC and it was a perfect ending to our perfect visit.

We started with the Aged Steak Tartare and the Heirloom Beets. Whitcraft Chardonnay was perfect - a handcrafted California wine - my absolute favorite and a wonderful surprise to find in NY. Next, we delighted in the Agnolotti then dove into the Colorado Lamb and Filet Mignon - divine! Dinner wrapped up with a cappuccino and the chocolate mousse, with the many textures of yum.

Thanks to our waiter for his excellent service and conversation. The night was memorable!
