Fabulous ambience: great for special occasions. Beautiful Art Deco Decor. Excellent service. Food is very good, but expensive which We expected because it was a special birthday.
Best short stack I have ever had. Amazing!!!
We truly enjoyed our brunch prior to the theater. We will definitely come back to the Lamb’s Club and recommend it to others.
Wonderful dining experience. I will be back!
Fabulous food, perfectly sized portions, cooked to perfection & excellent service... highly recommended.
Poor wait staff
Food was amazing! They do a great job of getting everyone though in time for their theatre tickets. Extensive wine list. Not sure that I would return for a pre-theatre dinner, but instead, a later dinner over a good bottle of wine. Also, the prix fixe menu for theatre was $105 not $60 as advertised.
Excellent as usual
I am low-carbing and I asked could they substitute tomatoes as my side instead of French fires. Their response was, "Would you like the tomatoes fresh sliced, sliced and grilled, or roasted?"
As usual service does not match prices charged.
Lamb's Club represents Mad Men to a T! The atmosphere, the waiters, the live music, everything about it resonates old world charm and I love it. If you are in need of some great brunch and a nice setting to hang with people, I highly recommend this space. It is also great for dinner as well. What I like most, however, is the fact that even with the live music for brunch, the noise was still mellow enough for you to have a full on conversation with your party. Tim's short stack is a must order if you love pancakes, bacon and eggs. The presentation is great s well and it is a huge and filling order that I could not even finish. I'd definitely go back there for more food and I want to have the french toast again.
Ordered grilled Dover sole and came with lot of sauce already on it and was not told about it.
The Icelandic Cod was delicious and try the Pistachio Parfait!
Really good but seemed way over priced.
Out of Control, over the top. Jeffrey Z is definitely for real. I read many reviews and some complained about the service but I do not think i could have found a more attentive staff without being obnoxiously and doting or in your face. I had the 5 sample tasting along with the wine pairing and it really came to about 8 dishes, each better than the previous with the Tuna Crudo starter which was a 10. Since the biggest problem of dining alone is not the company but no one to share with, pick off of their plate so i highly recommend the tasting menu, (heck i would have had 3-4 items anyway if i ordered Ala -carte).
Was their for a business breakfast meeting. Good food; service not so much. Ran out of coffee on the table; and I'm still waiting for my decaf coffee to arrive.
Wonderful food but the service was inattentive and slow.
Excellent, friendly service. We had Saturday brunch. Live jazz playing was very good but a bit loud for the space. Made for difficult conversations during their sets. Stuffed French Toast and Eggs en Cocotte were excellent. Chicken Apple Sausage and bacon were spot on as well. Very good Bloody Marys.
Definitely going back.
Service much better then previous time. Foie gras quite delicious, but duck breast very strange and pretencious preparation
Perfect place to treat my mom for her birthday before a show across the street. Pricey but absolutely worth it. Plates and drinks were delicious. Staff was kind and attentive to our needs, including the 7pm curtain. Ambiance was chic but not pretentious. The “intermission” popcorn goodies that came out with the check were an added bonus.
Had dinner here during a business trip. The waitstaff were very nice. They were attentive without hovering. The wine suggested was a perfect compliment to the duck dish. I will try to get back next time I'm in NYC.
The service was superb, we felt well cared for. There were supervisory staff stationed around the room. I had the pre-theater fixed menu and my husband ordered off the regular menu. Presentation was lovely. I had seen complaints of staff not being attentive enough and have to wonder. It was not the case on our night.
Service was very professional. Other than side vegetables, portions were incredibly (laughably) small. Room is very nice as is the overall ambience. Wish the food was better.
I've enjoyed going to the Lambs Club for lunch since moving to the neighborhood two years ago. The food has been consistently exceptional, the service has been attentive and the space is warm, friendly and while elegant, its very comfortable and not pretentious. I feel the staff is there to assist with any questions and my guests are always pleased with the food and service. Ask for one of the corner tables, it gives you a nice view of the room!
It was very nice to return to the Lambs Club. We have never been disappointed. The food was delicious and the service great. looking forward to dining there again when next in the city.
I loved the feeling of the restaurant and the singer was fantastic. That's where my good experience ended (expect for the great coffee).
The waiter was nervous and stated he was new. He mumbled and dropped things....I wanted to get up and help him.
It took 50 minutes to get a waffle and some hash with eggs and both were luke warm.
Part of my husbands order never came and I had eggshells in my smoke pastrami hash/eggs. The hash was delicious but once i crunched down on the shells, I couldn't eat anymore. I mentioned both to our waiter.
Our waiter did not check on us during our meal. I had to ask someone to get him for our check.
I would not come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Wonderful ambiance and food. The live music during brunch was lovely. Poor service.
Still one of our all-time favorites -- you can't do better for food or setting and the live music is absolutely magnificent. We would happily have stayed all day if we could.
Food, ambiance & service was amazing. Worth the price for a special occasion.
Went there for a special friday lunch. Had the burger which was delicious and juicy and paired wonderfully with an unexpected treat: and old vine Cinsault wine from Lebanon's Bekaa Valley.
A most enjoyable meal; and the service was excellent.
Very glad we took a friend's recommendation to try the Lamb's Club. Beautiful room. Great drinks and wine list. Service was attentive though a little slow to start and a little slow to get the check at the end. The food was excellent with good variety on the relatively brief menu. I would definitely dine here again.
Too much Dijon mustard in the steak tartare. Waaay too much salt on the hamachi small bread croutons on the Dover sole??? Disappointing culinary experience. Did the chef change?? Good but not excellent service.
Taste sensation through out each course. Fabulous service. Can't be neat and wonderful pre theater. Always my first choice.
A bit outdated
Great overall experience before a broadway show. Raw dishes were a bit salty, but burrate salad with copressata marmalade was fantastic. I had the pasta with crabmeat which was delicious, and my husband had the whole sole which was very good, but very rich. Service overall was great, but started to slow down once it got very busy, which is understandable. Overall good experience and will go back.
A taste of old New York
Quiet enough to hear your companions and have a meaningful conversation
Lovely decor u deratated
Went to meet friends for breakfast on my birthday. I was early and they sat me right away which is wonderful and a bit unusual in NYC. Often they will make you wait for your party to be complete. A good pot of coffee was brought out right away. My friends were late but the waiter was attentive in case I wanted anything while I waited. I ordered off of the menu my companions were in the mood for Eggs Benedict which is not on the weekday menu. No problem they whipped up the hollandaise without a care. My friends were just passing through town on their way back to Switzerland so we sat and chatted for 2 hours. We never felt rushed or unattended to. I love The Lambs Club and will always have my birthday breakfast there.
