   Firstly when we walked in it took a while for someone to greet us, which we abruptly got ‘yes’? No hello have you got a booking or anything, just ‘yes’. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Told we were early and to wait and the bar. We were 2 minutes early if that. We then had to go ask 15 minutes later if the table was ready, which we got rushed through to. We hadn’t even sat down for 5 minutes before a rude waitress came over and said ‘do you know what you’re having’. Not even hello, or any nice greeting. We politely said that we’d only just sat down so haven’t had chance to look yet. She rudely said ‘oh well because you had drinks i assumed you’d be ready’. I explained we got these at the bar while waiting for 15 minutes for our table. She then abruptly walked off. Mains took over 45-50 minutes to arrive. 2 roast dinners and a fish & chips. I know Sundays are busy but at the time predominately all the tables either had their food already or were finished. So this massively put us off. Food was ok, nothing special but good price I guess. No one checked on the food during the time we were eating and we had to call someone over to ask for more drinks. Service was so poor that I probably wouldn’t returned again and feel disappointed. It was ridiculously noisy, to a point where we couldn’t hear each other at times and really struggled to have a conversation. This wasn’t due to the other customers, this was due to the staff joking around by the kitchen and being extremely unprofessional. All in all it was just a really disappointing experience.

   Excellent macaroni cheese with bacon and garlic mushrooms a little salad on the side. Unfortunately the fruilli was hard and not pleasant to eat the chicken was good. We were compensated thank you.

   Great service and great food - we were shown to our table and ordered drinks then dinner - good choice of option’s available and even though it was busy food came quickly

   Good location in the country. Nice, relaxing atmosphere for a social meal. Staff friendly and attentive. Food reasonably priced, though some dishes are better than others quality wise.

   We went today for mothers day 2025 and the meal was exceptional. We had a range of starters and sunday roast. All the staff we came across were friendly and approachable from the second we entered. A special mention to Will, who was very friendly and quick with service. We will definitely be returning.     Excellent meal for Mother's day 2025. The set menu was delicious from starters to desserts, and very good value for money considering the level of quality in each dish. Service was great from everyone involved. Nice little play area outside to keep the little ones entertained. We were seated in the function room area which was very quiet at first, we would have preferred to have sat in the main restaurant where it was far more lively, although we appreciate it was very busy on the day. Overall fantastic experience, have been to the Lamb many times and will continue to do so.
