Recently had a lovely sharing meal with my wife at the Lamb. Food was really lovely and beautifully cooked, the veg was yum, the steak was yum and the sausages yum yum yum were delicious. I would definitely recommend eating here !!!! we will return when we get the chance. Thank you very much.
Sunday Roasts delicious! So many flavours. It was a very quiet, rainy day and the lovely fire was roaring! Sticky table was the only, petty comment that could be made! Highly recommend!!
Thank you
The food is, simply put, excellent. The pub is lovely, as are the staff, I would eat here again.
thank you Claire
Really tasty food and delicious wine in a friendly village pub. Would definitely recommend!
thank you Tim
We had a delicious meal here, the Seasonal Meat feast, which I highly recommend. The staff were attentive and friendly and had put a note on our table wishing us a Happy Silver Anniversary, which was a lovely touch. The atmosphere there was warm and friendly, will definitely be coming back - Thank you
Thank you Claire
Delicious food , good service , well managed covid precautions .
Enjoyed the film club too! Food not perfect as last time.
Thank you for your kind review
Seriously great food - arguably the best of any pub in the Exeter area.
Pleasant and friendly staff. The landlord happened to be outside as we arrived and he found me a parking spot and even helped me park!
I really can't think of anything much that would improve this pub - with the exception of course that if they had either Green King Abbot or Otter Ale - then we would be indisputably in heaven! But their wines are good, service good and prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

Lovely old pub. Great beer. Have the meat sharer!!
Thank you for your kind review
Very attractive from the outside.
The food was very limited but quite good - four main courses (+veggie) served in different combinations.
Inside the pub was very grubby, cluttered and generally not a nice environment to be in.
I wonder if the pub was built-up by somebody else and then sold on and been allowed to go down hill?
Sorry you did not enjoy your visit. In fact there are 147 different combination of dishes you can have, plus burgers, as well as our highly popular Platters for Sharing. Fortunately most of The Lamb Inn guests would disagree with you and they all love the newly restored 16th century inglenook fireplace - just read reviews on and around your review and you can see they disagree with you. .. We would recommend you avoid eating at local character village pubs.
Lovely quiet location, friendly unobtrusive service, good menu - recommended
Thank you for your kind review
High quality food in a lovely old Inn. Good value for money and excellent service. Something a bit different to the usual pub meal. Definitely worth a visit.
Thank you for your kind review
The meal had been planned due to a visit by a friend from Leicestershire. This was our third visit and it maintained the high standard we have become use to on our previous visits. Thank you and keep it up.

Enjoyed our overnight stay at the Lamb Inn very much. The room, food and service were all excellent. We stayed in the garden room which was lovely and had its own little outside area which was great for our dog. Highly recommend.

Done a great job adjusting to COVID requirements. Nice short menu of really good food options

We landed in Sandford after a long, tiring, wet journey from Penzance. But once walked into the Lamb we were immediately made to feel welcome in this friendly local pub. We had a very tasty supper with an excellent fig starter and my fish main course was a delicious and varied dish.
Our room had everything that we needed, with an especially comfortable bed in a large room overlooking the quiet street.
Thank you for your hospitality. Thanks too for returning the cardigan that I somehow left on my chair after breakfast!
Unfortunately I, as one of the party of four, found the main chicken meal was ruined for me by too much salt. I didn’t wish to embarrass my hosts by complaining, but was up all night drinking water (I’d drunk three glasses of lime soda, no alcohol).
Last minute booking in restaurant. Excellent tasty food, good service, helpful staff.
A lovely pub with great food well worth a visit It is great to be able to find somewhere so good.
A lovely old inn in a central village location not too far out from Exeter. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Great home cooked food and service. Highly recommend a visit.
Lovely atmosphere friendly staff delicious food. We will doubtless be eating at the Lamb again
Great food in a cosy pub with bags of character. Enjoyed it very much and will be back soon.
Thank you Lizzie
Good food and atmosphere. We would definitely go there again, especially on film nights.
Lovely spot and a quiet garden. Food was excellent. I suspect a wasps nest is nearby so it ought to be removed.
Friendly service and very comfortable. Will be back to the Lamb soon!
Thank you Tommo
Very good food for the price, really impressed.
Not a lot to choose from though that would be the only recommendation.
thank you
Excellent food little pricey but beautifully cooked
thank you
Ok as a country pub a bit expensive though. Staff friendly enough but not trained in service. I do not like being asked if I would like to leave a tip. some people would find this intimidating.
Very enjoyable visit. Have already recommended to a friend.
Delicious food- the best Sunday pub lunch I’ve had in years. Kids menu even had homemade chips. Delicious!
Friendly staff. Amazing food, I would recommend the pork belly! Nice cosy atmosphere, could have done with some background music.
