What a wonderful place to dine. The views are spectacular. Our server was absolutely perfect in his attention and service. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us understand a few things as it was our first time at the restaurant. The mocktails are delightful. The food was some of the best and most creative I have had in a while. Delicious and perfectly prepared. The dessert was also spot on in taste and size. We really did love the experience.
Waiter was great! Food was good but kinda expensive for what we got. It was very tasty and presented very nice. We will go back for sure!
Wonderful dinner. Great ambience. Service was very good
Wonderful brunch. Helpful staff
Tasty and unique menu. Nice blending of flavors. Lovely setting looking over the lake.
Atmosphere was nice - great fireplace. Very nice service, very quiet. But the prices are very high and the food, although it sounded interesting, wasn't as tasty as it should have been.
Amazing view. Our server, Brett, was fantastic; very knowledgeable.
Chop salad was a little bit too wild for my husband, the cod was very good but could’ve had something else on the plate to give it a little more interest or color, scones were good, cornbread and honey butter were good, loved the lamb taquitos and Apple custard pie! Ambience was nice and service was excellent, but it was a little noisy with all of that wood on the floor and walls and ceiling.
Wow!! As a self proclaimed foodie I was impressed by the menu especially for adapt Lake. The ambiance was soft and romantic and the fire place was beautiful!! The buffalo meatloaf was incredible and the portion was huge! The fillet was great as well. Desserts sounded intriguing… combination not going to lie didn’t sound great! However we tried the apple custard pie and ice cream and were pleasantly surprised it was absolutely delicious.
We had a great dinner at The Lakehouse at Deer Creek. The ambience was excellent, as was the service. Brett took great care of us. The salad was large enough to share and it tasted so fresh. The cornbread was outstanding and also large enough to share. We had the cod and the meatloaf. Both were great. The meatloaf was the best I've ever had. Sorry, Mom. We were delighted and are anxious to return.
Disappointed, the food expensive and very salty
Great location with great views during the daylight hours only. Food was fresh and had a slightly unique twist on things. Worth a try!
We come here a lot. We are lucky to live 6 miles away in Midway. Last night was New Years Eve and the food was spectacular. We like sitting upstairs at or by the bar when Joey is working. Great conversation and service. Summer or winter it’s always good.
Excellent restaurant for people who want to expand their palette. All our food and drinks were outstanding. Will definitely make a return visit.
We are locals and tried it for the first time. We will be going back AND will be taking our guests there. Food, Prices, Drinks, Ambience and Service were all wonderful.
I honestly thought the Foundry @ Sundance did the best bison meatloaf, I was wrong The Lakehouse takes first place by a long shot. The Lakehouse is by far the best restaurant in Heber Valley.
The meat pie was delicious, absolutely wonderful pastry crust. Nice beer, wine and cocktail menu. Excellent knowledgeable service.
Good, inventive, and flavorful food. Our server,Brett, was the best…Mr Hospitality…helpful and charming.
Strong menu with several dishes using local game. Imaginative ingredient selection in the dishes. Several great choices from chef. Excellent desert selection as chef has a pastry background. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and knows the menu back and forth as well as the wine selections. Great special occasion spot but also has some burgers for every day visits.
Surprisingly modern and upscale inside, with the best Monte Cristo I’ve ever had! I want to live here! Wonderful dining experience!
Excellent food and ambience. We were there for Christmas night. We really enjoyed
Friendly accommodating staff, delicious food & cozy atmosphere! Definitely on our must return to list!
Dillon was an amazing server, and Joey was fantastic in the bar. To top it all off, the food was absolutely amazing. It was all heritage Utah food, prepared upon local traditions, history and preparation; it blew us away! The ambience was incredible and we couldn’t think of a better way to spend a fun Christmas Eve in a great place. We will absolutely be returning to this great place to see our new friends and try more of the spectacular menu.
The food was horrible. Two hundred dollars for two adults and two children. We left the restaurant hungry because no one was able to eat the food. The pork loin was bland and tough.
We loved our brunch at the Lakehouse. The food was great and the service was fantastic!
Food was very unique and very delicious. Will 100% be coming back to try new items.
Both the cocktail and dinner menu are excellent. The chef is talented and creative without going overboard. I can recommend the chicken with peanut butter mole. It has a zing to it so don’t expect the token chicken dish. I also recommend the corn bread appetizer. However I believe the menu is varied enough to please any palate. The dessert menu is also outstanding.
The service was excellent. I wish I could remember our waiter’s name because he was delightful. It started with an R???
I definitely recommend The Lake House at Deer Creek
Food was quite good and interesting but pricey. It came to $100 each for 3 of us…and we did not order high end. They have much to learn about fine dining..like table clothes. Inside, it was stark and lacking…wait staff was inexperienced. It was good to check out but there are better places for the money and we won’t be back. Outside smells like sewage which was a bit off putting arriving and leaving.
Absolutely amazing. Staff was fantastic, food impeccable , and the view can’t be beat.
The place is beautiful, the view in winter with the snowed mountains and the lake view was simply amazing. We got a table by the lake with a gorgeous view, we were a party of six and got different dishes including the osobucco and the signature rabbit lasagna both very good. Desserts not impressed at all, prices definitely on the upper end.
The food was amazing, service fantastic and the views were off the charts, ready for a lot of next summer outdoor dinners1
We really enjoyed our meal, our lovely waitress recommended a few options for us… the meatloaf, the burger with peanut butter mousse and the mushroom spatzle. All dishes were unique and had their own twist to them we loved every bite, I would highly recommend going here for a relaxing evening with wonderful drinks and beautiful views. Such a relaxing evening with friends.
This is a disappointing review to have to write. The food was excellent, the service was very good and the setting was nicely done. And we really wanted to like this restaurant based on the article we had read about it and the chef’s story. But all this good was completely undone by how cold it was. It wasn’t just chilly, it was downright cold. In fact, it distracted us from enjoying the quality and creativity of the cooking and upended the night out my wife and I had together. We wanted to order dessert but opted not to so we could get back in the car and finally warm up. The thermostat I could clearly see was set to 66. Where I was sitting was at least 5-10 degrees colder than that. And my wife and I were sitting near the fire. I can’t even imagine how bad it was for other diners closer to the windows. It was so disappointing to have such a nice meal and evening out ruined by something so simple as heat.
The is restaurant is incredible! The menu is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced and uniquely delicious! The staff is top notch and friendly and the setting on Deer Creek reservoir can’t be beat, especially at sunset!
Every ingredient is thought through and you need to go and try it!
We walked in and were awed by how beautiful this restaurant is - definitely a date night destination. We went as five women while our husbands went to a basketball game. We are definitely taking them later. We decided to try a large number of appetizers and share the house special hamburger. Every bite was amazing. The chef is outstanding. I k ow they change the menu often and our was more of a fall menu but the carrot bisque and hummus were extraordinary. Don’t be put off by the words duck fat on the scones - they were light and airy and the most delicious scones ever. Our only disappointment was our dessert. It was a goat cheese semifreddo and just wasn’t interesting although the grape semifreddo that came with it we could have eaten a bowl of that.
Ambiance was great, service was great-wait staff very personable. Food left something to be desired. Ordered the grilled cauliflower with eggs, came with corn tortillas and beans. Cauliflower had a nice grilled taste but was raw and very crunchy, not expected at all. When something says grilled you expect it to be cooked. Beans were too hot/spicy. Same for the ham on another friend’s Monte Cristo sandwich, she picked it off because it was too spicy. Seems to be a current trend to make everything hot now even when it does nothing for the food or the enjoyment of it. Not to mention a relatively steep price for two eggs, a small bowl of beans, a few tortillas, and a chunk of uncooked cauliflower. That could have been possibly acceptable if the food had been delicious. It wasn’t.
This was our fourth time dining at the Lakehouse--the first indoors. Our table was upstairs in the bar area looking over the first floor. Nice ambience and once again excellent food.
Best place to get high quality food and experience in Heber.
Beautiful interior, cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious and server was outstanding. We had nixtamalized squash for starter and it was perfect. Mains were Alaskan black cod and mushroom and rye spaetzle with game sausage. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious - especially tasty was the sausage. We shared brownie with hazelnut ice cream (my favorite and not common in the US) for dessert. We will certainly dine here again and will recommend to friends and family!
