Best Valentine’s Day Meal ever!
Very nice valentine's dinner. Good food, attentive service and cozy atmosphere!
This was our first time in the lower level dining room. Cozy atmosphere, very nice bar, and inviting ambience, quieter and more intimate than the main dining room. Cocktails were expertly crafted (thank you Anna). Food was outstanding: Caramelized Brussels sprouts, gumbo, and grilled shrimp starters were all well-prepared and seasoned nicely. Lobster bisque was the Valentine's Day special and it was delightful, nice pieces of lobster in a rich and flavorful but not over-the-top base. Chicken pot pie was elevated and elegantly presented, and delicious! Dessert of fried berry pie and ice cream was the perfect finale. Service from the bar, at the table, and from the kitchen was all on point, answering all of our questions and providing helpful suggestions as it was hard to choose from so many great selections on the menu (thank you Alan). Dishes were cleared and silverware replenished seamlessly and without needing to request anything. Will definitely dine here again, and will ask for the lower level dining room when making our next reservation!
Had to send my steak back because it was overcooked. As for the price: the fish was 3 tiny pieces and a 5oz steak for $52. The 10oz prime rib was $26. Pretty ridiculous pricing and not that great of food.
Great place... Enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner there.
Great food, great service. Nice ambiance. We had a great time!
Amazing menu and setting. Great staff. Attentive and knowledgeable
Our first time visiting. Very nice and great service
Had Valentines dinner at Lake Room. Love this spot. No pretension just a relaxing vibe with great food and service. Drinks were creative and worthy of a visit. One of the best joints to check out around Lake Minnetonka. Not cheap but don’t mind paying for great food and a relaxing evening.
We love this place!! Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service!!
Out of this world Short Ribs -- so, so good! My cocktail, the Spicy Paloma, was also the best I've ever had. The menu looks fabulous so we know we will be back to give other dishes a try. If making reservations, ask to be seated upstairs if you want a little more of an active scene; the downstairs, while nice, is much more sedate and quiet, which can also be quite nice. Absolutely recommend!
Service and food was absolutely amazing!! Great spot for our valentines dinner!
Our waitress Sarah was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable. We had great Valentines dinner. The Chocolate covered strawberries were amazing.
Dined at the bar. Bartender created drinks that were well done and served us well. She was very good as well as the food. Wedge salad and short rib were over the top. The Lake Room is a hidden gem. Doug B-
Great food and Mark was great server!
Early Valentine’s celebration. We went for the wonderful Social Hour menu. The sea bass skewers are delicious and the wine was great!
I have eaten here many times and absolutely LOVE the Sea Bass with the risotto cake....OMG, but this time we went with our friends who tried to order 3 different item which they were out of. Little disappointed by they did end up enjoying the gumbo and pasta they ordered. Ate downstairs which I didn’t even know they had and we loved the vibe down there. Overall 8 out of 10, oh and the mussels had a great sauce but no meat to them way to small but the bruschetta appetizer was soooooo good!
Amazing Food! Wonderful service! Could be our new favorite SPOT!
Well, first, we really love the food at Lake House--top notch. This time, our service was less than adequate. If you are covid scared, not a good choice.
The table were shown to had not been wiped down and my menu had obviously been used by others (paper menu)--as there were grease stains on it.
Server apologized right away saying they were not serving any of the sandwiches on the menu as they couldn't keep up with that part of the menu--Ok fine.
Ordered our meal and observed only 2 servers working the restaurant. We waited quite a while for the food (our drinks were empty and had started on a second as we had no idea how much longer) when it finally arrived.
Great --really good food-- Short rib and pasta dish top notch
We finished--with no one asking how it was, did we need anything else... Both of us used the restroom (different times), I had stacked the plates to give us room on the table--and we waited...25 minutes for our server to come back--drinks empty, plates empty...
25 minutes later, my husband finally had had enough--our server never gave eye contact and when we saw him take an order from a table of 6 and head to the computer--he finally got up and went and requested our bill...which then took another 10 minutes to be delivered and processed... so, we were in the restaurant for 90 minutes-- 35 of which were waiting to pay our check--oh...we would have gladly had dessert--but no offer.
While we love Lake House...this was disappointing as there seemed to be a lack of management getting things back on track after COVID Closures.
The food is always amazing! The service is fabulous too. We will be back.
We really want to like this place but the food is expensive and not very good. This is our 3-4 time and most probably our last. The service was poor our waiter brought the wrong drinks 3 times. The chicken pot pie was all potatoes even the waiter commented it was too much. The Brussel sprouts were mushy and the fries undercooked.
Another Great experience! Craft cocktails are amazing!
Great to be back at the Lake Room again after yet another shut down!
Love this place! Tom is great and the food is outstanding!
This is a charming place with amazing food. Mark, our server was great.
An outstanding meal, the ragu and ceaser salad were excellent and the sirloin was prepared to perfection. We wished we could have sat upstairs
Delicious food! Will be back when things open back up!
We had the best dinner with several friends from out of town. The food was delicious and our service was amazing!!! The manager assisted us with a favor and totally made our evening!
Amazing food! Great service! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great date night.
I loved my pork tenderloin and my guests raved about the scallops and short ribs! Total success taking someone out for dinner. Our server was impeccable!
We had a wonderfully delicious meal and great service.
Food is high end. Fabulous flavors. Demi the server was amazing. Knowledgeable and cool.
The service was impeccable by Mia and the food was absolutely scrumptious!
Smallish neighborhood high end restaurant. Tables are nicely spaced. Food is above average. It’s a little on the expensive side, but especially during these times it is totally understandable.
Great Place with Amazing Food! Have been here for both happy hour drinks and also dinner!
Few restaurants in the Cities live up to their high priced menus, in terms of the actual food, in my humble-but-foodie opinion. The Lake Room is one of them. It's all about the food quality--but then, It's not. From the hostesses, to the servers, to the chefs, it's nothing less than outstanding. I haven't felt that way about a restaurant in at least a decade. Go, if you haven't. It's worth it. Make a reservation and go very early, if you're trying to socially distance. (They've done a pretty good job with that, as well!)
Food always terrific !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Menu here is very good and the food is also very good. Excellent little place that was sorely needed in the village of Navarrre. My only complaint about the food is that the chimichurri has far too much vinegar which made all the other flavors disappear. Mussels appetizer was really good. Steak was perfection and little to no salt which is a sign of a real pro chef. Salmon was great with a wonderful dipping sauce with citrus notes.
We both enjoyed our dinners (seabass and salmon) and definitely would order them again. I loved the mozzarella risotto cake and the champagne beurre blanc made me want to lick the plate clean! And the key lime pie was a delicious way to end our meal!
