   Great service. Clay is a star for service! He was such a gem. The duck was originally over cooked, but the fixed it without a fuss or issue. Such a gem in this wonderful city!

   This place is a gem —— don’t be fooled by the name — it’s not on the lake. — but it’s a wonderful small restaurant. Food was all good. And agreee with everyone else the crab cakes are a must. And Clay is an obvious seasoned professional waiter. Could not have been any better. What a joy. We will return

   I had the baba ganoush, ribeye, and flourless cake. My husband ordered the duck; & we thought everything was excellent. The ambiance & service was great also! Definitely would recommend Lake House!

   The meal was absolutely wonderful, the waiter Clay was very attentive, the restaurant was clean and the staff was great. the noise was definitely caused by our group, but the people around us didn't seem to mind. Will definitely return.

    I ordered 3 appetizers for my dinner. I asked for the fried calamari and risotto first, followed by crab cakes. I found the squid could have been a little crisper, and served hotter. I don't order risotto usually, and found that dish was served a little like oatmeal, and almost at room temperature. After a few bites, when I requested that it be perhaps put in the pizza oven for a couple of minutes, the waiter returned with a new order of risotto, at the original room temperature. Now, for the crab cakes...they were fantastic, with an enjoyable side salad. For desert, the tiramisu seemed overly dry. My dinner partner ordered the scallops and shrimp, which he said he enjoyed.

    This was my first visit to The Lake House. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very nice and there was a lot of variety on the menu. I had the scallops and prawns dish which was very good. My friend had trout which was actually Steelhead and not the white trout. She was disappointed in the freshness of the fish. The biggest disappointment was the desserts. We ordered the flour less chocolate cake, but it was just a big brownie and not the consistency of a flour less cake. We also had a cheesecake which was okay.

    Thankfully the service was amazing otherwise might not have been the best experience. Food start off gray with the crab cakes which were delicious but kind of went downhill from there, risotto was slightly undercooked but had good flavor and the filet mignon we ordered came out bloody even though we ordered it medium. My wages though made up for everything

    I ordered thr calamari, lamb chop, death by chocolate. The calamari was excellent, as well as the flour less chocolate cake. But my lamb chops weren't that great. They weren't seasoned well. Two of the three were too fatty to even eat. They do provide a good portion size.

    Brunch: Service was unacceptably slow… Placed our order, and waited for close to an hour for it to arrive cold. No one checked on us the entire time, and the place wasn’t busy. Food was barely passable….beverages were terrible. Minute Maid grapefruit juice, and Swiss miss hot chocolate. No espresso. I would not consider this fine dining on any level.

    Wonderful Easter brunch! Eggs Benedict was spot on, mimosas were perfect, great service and ambience. One of our favorite dinner venues, but first time for brunch. Will definitely return to try more menu items.

    Loved this place! The service and food were phenomenal. I love the decor. It was a bit chilly, thus the 4/5 for ambiance. Highly recommend and I look forward to returning in the summer when we can sit on the patio.

    We were looking for a lovely setting to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was excellent and catered to all our needs. We enjoyed the filet with scallops which was cooked perfectly and the prawns and scallops. The crab cakes were excellent with very little filler and the calamari was cooked perfectly lightly pan fried with jalapeño shavings. The entire evening was close to perfect.

    Everything was perfect! From the quality service to the excellent food. My husband had the delicious trout and I had chicken marsala. The white and red wines were very good. The only recommendation to the staff is to provide bread plates when serving bread and butter.

    Amazing food and wine selection! Our server, Clay, was knowledgeable, friendly and fun! It really improved our anniversary dinner. We will be coming back for more occasions. I think Lake House beats out all the other “fancy” restaurants in Stateline across the board!

    The atmosphere is very unique and comforting. Our server Katrina was outstanding. She was lively and engaging but not overbearing or fake. She knew when to check on the table and when not to. She is definitely one of the reasons we will come back. The duck was awesome. Few places do duck and even fewer can do it right so it is tender and moist. The sauce was perfect ratio and not overpowering. The cheesecake was a nice surprise as it was rich but light at the same time. Can’t wait to go back.

    This was our first time at The Lake House and we loved it. Our server Elizabeth was delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful - and we appreciated her recommendations.     Had dinner on the 9th. Service was excellent and food was good. Had brunch on the 11th. Service was horrible. The omelets and eggs were very good but served cold. Coffee never refilled. We were the only table.
