The food and service were amazing. This is only the second time I have dined at Lake House, but I can only say it's a gem. I will continue to support this establishment as it didn't disappoint. Thanks for the incredible dining experience.

The atmosphere is very unique and comforting. Our server Katrina was outstanding. She was lively and engaging but not overbearing or fake. She knew when to check on the table and when not to. She is definitely one of the reasons we will come back. The duck was awesome. Few places do duck and even fewer can do it right so it is tender and moist. The sauce was perfect ratio and not overpowering. The cheesecake was a nice surprise as it was rich but light at the same time. Can’t wait to go back.

This was our first time at The Lake House and we loved it. Our server Elizabeth was delightful, knowledgeable, and helpful - and we appreciated her recommendations. The 4 of us all had fabulous dinners and a terrific selection of delicious, affordably priced wines. We would absolutely go back next time we're in South Lake Tahoe!

This restaurant serves the whole sheep lol. Very yummy lamb chops, highly recommended. Been here everyday time we visit Lake Tahoe, the food is very big portions, but everything is sooo good, never disappointed

Had dinner on the 9th. Service was excellent and food was good. Had brunch on the 11th. Service was horrible. The omelets and eggs were very good but served cold. Coffee never refilled. We were the only table.

We were celebrating a birthday - had an amazing with delicious food. When it came to clear the table, the server didn’t hear that one of the guest wanted to save the leftovers to go. So the leftovers ended up in the trash. And of course it had to be the person whose birthday we were celebrating.

A good higher-end restaurant for our family ski trip. We started our with the Hamachi Ceviche and Caymus Grand Durif / Petite Syrah (for the adults). My wife had the Cioppino Special (tasty with a nice presentation). I had the Truffle Soap and Pan Seared Lamb Chops. My daughter had the Chicken Tenders with Fries. A tasty meal.

The Lake House is so unique and special! It has a GREAT MENU for all! The food and Service is outstanding! We have been locals for over 47 YEARS - WE love it here! So thankful! Also, SAGE, our wait person, was OUTSTANDING! We had to customize menu - NO problem!

Great food and enjoyed the scallops. Steak was cooked perfectly with excellent mashed potatoes. Appetizers were okay but the calamari needed for seasoning and breading. The Death by Chocolate was to die for.

Nice firepit out front but seats covered in snow. Steak undercooked, asparagus undercooked. Spent $165 and they charged me for bread. C'mon.. Wine list weird. Overall, for the price I will not be back. Definitely didn't get $165 worth for 2 of us. Ice out front door, dangerous. As a local I was charged as a tourist. Good luck with that.

Visited friends whom we have not seen for years. Paul and Adel recommend this place and raving about their steak. 😍. So of coarse my husband and I ordered the rib eye paired with Daou Pinot . Excellent choice, steak is so tender and juicy. Our server is Sage , she is so attentive and knows her wine. Most of all , this place is so perfect to meet friends, noise level is low and it’s cozy so we were talking and stayed till it’s closed. And we never felt we were rushed. Thank you!!

Our usual go to place for celebration dinners used to be another well known spot with a fabulous view of Lake Tahoe. After celebrating our anniversary at The Lake House, it has been promoted to our new “go to” restaurant for fine dining. The service was prompt and attentive, the portions were quite generous and the food was melt in your mouth delicious! I can drive to get a view of Lake Tahoe anytime, but The Lake House serves impressive meals for any celebration🥰

The only glitch in our evening was our reservation time. Unfortunately the Lake House did not have additional seating for a group our size and the patrons at our scheduled location decided to sit and stay awhile. Not the end of the world, but we did wait approx 20-30 minutes prior to being seated. All ese, food & service were above average. We had a great meal and gathering at the Lake House.
