    What a gem! Mixology drinks paired with flavorful, delicious food. The Risotto is to die for! The interior is clean, cozy and unique with the Wine Barrels in the back. Service was professional and friendly. We will be back!

    The food was incredible. My pork chop, and my wife Seabass were made exactly the way it should be. We really enjoyed the mushroom bisque also. The chef came around to check on us. Also we complemented him and we definitely will be coming back.

    Chef David never disappoints & last night was no different. My husband & I both had the elk cooked to perfection. Our waiter Mathias was also incredible. Plus don’t forget the Blackberry Sangria absolutely delish. This place is our hidden gem! Thank you all for an excellent dining experience once again.

    The atmosphere and service blended with the delicious meal made our visit to LAB one that we will remember. Definitely a place to go back to and tell your friends. Especially, if you are a foodie!

    Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and our food came out fast. However, I could get better food at a way better price elsewhere. If you are a picky eater or someone who does not eat a lot of meat, i would not recommend.

    We loved the building’s creative reuse (as it used to be a roller skating rink) and cozy atmosphere! We thought the food was amazing and the drinks were wonderful! My husband said it was some of the best duck he has ever had and our seasonal salad and bisque along with the goat cheese, cranberry and pistachio appetizer on pita points was awesome! The Mary Ann cocktail with smoked rosemary was also fabulous along with the great service provided by all the staff! Definitely worth the drive to Washington, PA and the Lab at Armen’s Barrels can easily hold its own in the awesome Pittsburgh dining scene!

    The food, drinks, and service were absolutely outstanding! The atmosphere was quiet and calm. It was an overall great experience. The chef even came around and checked in on the guests and introduced himself. Would definitely recommend!

    This restaurant is a MUST try!!! We tried three different entrées. Chicken, marsala, duck and pork chops. We ate everything so quickly because it was so good! It definitely won’t leave hungry the portions are great as well. We really love the vibe here it’s beautiful as soon as you stepped foot into the place the stuff was amazing the owner, the bartender and the cook. All greeted us and spoke to us. The drinks were amazing. You have to try them! Especially the vodka infused with chocolate. It’s so delicious! My new favorite spot.

    Stellar dining experience! Hard to imagine that you’re in a little SWPA neighborhood. This was our first visit and from the time we stepped in the door we were blown away. Loved the quiet, dimly lit (though thoughtfully lit at each table), tastefully decorated interior. It is apparent the heart that goes into the dining experience here. WOW did this blow any competition away! Words cannot adequately describe how perfectly prepared everything was. We will for sure be returning soon. Barrel aged Manhattan for husband with a generous portion of lightly fried calamari. I had the Mary Ann cocktail and it was delish! Seasonal bisque was mushroom and it was wonderful. 8 oz filet with Demi glacé, butternut squash risotto, asparagus. Husband it was by far the best prepared steak he’s had in a long time. Kobe burger with frites. Prepared perfectly medium and JUICY. Frites light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. Mathias was our server and he KILLED IT. The best balance of keeping up with us and allowing us to enjoy our anniversary dinner. Very knowledgeable about the menu and did not lead us astray on any recommendations. Bartender did a bang up job on our drinks, and chef absolutely killed it in the kitchen. A+ team… can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed that dining experience.

    We had the Stuffed Mushroom Caps and Crispy Brussel Sprouts for sides, along with the Kobe Beef Burgers and Frites. Everything was cooked to perfection! Our drinks were awesome from the local micro beers to their house wines that were so good we got a couple of bottles to go. We met the chef, the bartender, who were all very personable. And our waiter Mathais was outstanding. We are definitely going back and Highly Recommend This Place.

    We had an incredible dining experience at The Lab at Armen's Barrels. The food was exquisite and the service was superb. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WORK THERE!!!! Our group's meal included: appetizers were crabcake, goat cheese with pita triangles, and stuffed mushrooms; entrees were seared duck with black cherry gastrique, Chilean Sea Bass, Elk, and Koho Mushroom Burger as well as an assortment of mixed drinks and wines. Every single item was of the highest quality and prepared exceptionally!

    From the moment we were arrived we were greeted warmly and welcomed in. Our waitress was fast, funny, and knowledgeable about the menu she was selling. My elk steak was perfection, my wife’s Kobe Burger was delicious as well. The drinks were top notch. Be sure to try Bills Cafe. Was outstanding.

    An excellent experience in every way. The service was top notch, our food was excellent. I had the 6 oz prime filet and frites and ordered a side of their farm to table carrots. Oh my, my filet was perfect, the Frites were so good, and the carrots were better than any carrot I have ever had. I have been to many many restaurants in my life and yes while some are very good, I am just not wowed and the desire to go back again isn’t that strong, but I cannot wait to get back to The Lab again, it was just amazing.

    My favorite high end restaurant! Love not having to go to Pittsburgh or walk a mile at the casino to experience fine dining! Best filet Ive ever had! Will be getting my business weekly!

    My mom and I have been wanting to go and finally we did. What an experience! The cocktails were insane. The food was even better! Our server was so good & let us take our time throughout our courses. My mom and I are already planning our next visit. Oh and the chef actually came out and greeted us and told us about the menu & also asked if we had any questions and he checked up on us halfway through our meal. What an incredible experience. The vibe was also amazing just a 10/10 experience!!

    Our dining experience at The Lab was nothing short of phenomenal. The ambience was warm and inviting, the service was exceptional, and everything we tried from the menu was excellent. Chef David even came to our table and shared culinary insights about our dishes which made the meal feel extra special. If you’re planning a date night soon, be sure to order the butternut squash soup and risotto! 10/10

    I went here to celebrate my birthday and it was fabulous. The atmosphere and food were amazing. The sangria was also very good. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a romantic night out or somewhere to celebrate a special occasion. We will be back. Best meal I’ve had in a long time.

    My husband and I love having Date Night at The Lab. It is always such an enjoyable experience. Consistency is something I value in choosing my dining location. The Lab is just that. Consistently excellent. Time after time, we have evenings that feel like we have been transported from small town Washington, PA to a gourmet European bistro. (The low lighting and more sophisticated music create a very appealing ambiance.) I’ve dined globally and so very much appreciate that I can have a world class experience without having to drive to Downtown Pittsburgh. Nearly every complaint you could (but should NOT) have is fully countered by an experienced, thoughtful recognition of the care that goes into your experience here. Great service (I leave feeling like I’ve been served by a new friend.)comes from a well trained & fairly compensated staff. Great dishes come from time spent planning and procuring quality (fresh and local) ingredients. It is beyond evident that Chef David pours passion and love into his food. (It was extremely wonderful to have him come and personally discuss our experience without having requested him to do so. He actually is just that kind of Chef. He wants his diners to be pleased.) The presentations are beautiful. The seasoning is really done well. The flavor profiles are crafted with precision. The incredible thing is that The Lab provides a sensory experience for a sophisticated palette, while also providing a warm welcome to those who’ve maybe not dove into the world of a great gourmet meal before. They offer both simplicity done excellently and complex done exquisitely, depending on the diner’s choices. (This is not something that you can get for the same price as a generic chain or even many of the other locally owned dining establishments. There is intrinsic value behind every dollar you spend here.) While my taste ranges from “greasy spoon” to gourmet, I find the Lab to be a sweet spot of comfort & class. Could not recommend enough

    This was our second time at The Lab. The food, drinks and service were all excellent. Beautiful place inside. I would highly recommend dining or having a drink here. The Chef came out to greet us to see how everything was as well. Wonderful experience.

    I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was cooked to perfection. The rest of our party had Duck, Halibut and Chicken. We all loved our meals and even talked to the chef about how impressed we were with the food. The peanut butter pie was delicious and the lemon crème brûlée excellent that we ordered for desserts.

    What a hidden gem, we enjoyed such a nice meal! The ambience, I’m going to keep it as a 5, because I think it’s really cool overall. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but once you step inside it’s all forgiven. Great food, fun cocktails, our waitress was so pleasant, knowledgeable and attentive.

    My husband and I shared the Salmon Tartare then each ordered the special which was Elk Tenderloin paired with Risotto. Every single item was seasoned and cooked to perfection! This was hands down the best meal we have had in years! Kudos to Chef David for his attention to detail and extraordinary kitchen - it was our absolute pleasure!

    The restaurant is in a modern working winery/distillery. The dishes were a bit pricey but excellently prepared and very eclectic. When you arrive, you are not sure you are in the right place. But once you go in, then it is a different experience. It feels that you are having dinner in a cave where barrels are aging wine and vodka. One of our friends had the barrel aged Manhattan. He loved it. Don't recall seeing that in other restaurants. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
