About The Kitchen Consigliere
Come enjoy old Italian-style dishes, known today as Italian comfort food, at The Kitchen Consigliere as executive chef Angelo Lutz preserves the heritage of real, authentic homestyle cooking. His spot is an informal BYOB Italian eatery with an emphasis on the peasant dishes found in traditional homestyle Italian cooking. Influenced by the dishes he ate as a youngster, Angelo's cooking style stems from teaching and recipes taught by his mother and grandmother. The atmosphere is informal and the food and menus change often, allowing The Kitchen Consigliere to be a cozy, quaint and not over-the-top eatery for the entire family. And good food isn't the only reason to eat at the café. The real adventure is meeting with the real kitchen consigliere; you will come for the food but stick around for the conversation.

The Kitchen Consigliere Ratings and Reviews
Pick this from Trip Advisor and once again the advice was reliable. Located in nice quiet part of town the food was outstanding and the ambiance well suited for a business discussion. The pasta and sausage was excellent. The caesar salad was plentiful, delicious and included in the meal. This place is a winner.
My family went for my daughters birthday, we had reservations for 7:00 and were seated promptly. Our server was Stephanie, she was a sweetheart and very knowledgeable of both the menu and the specials. The grilled endive appetizer special was excellent and enough for four people to split. I ordered the Salmon which is on the regular menu, served over spinach and pineapple. The best Salmon I have had in a long time. My daughter ordered the clams and spaghetti, she loved it! I do not remember what my husband and son had, but they said it was delicious as well. I would recommend this restaurant highly. I can not wait to go back!! And thank you Stephanie for the wonderful service!
Our experience was excellent from the moment we walked in. Our server, Angela, was outstanding. She knows the menu and the specials well and was able to answer all our questions about both. I recommend you ask for her if you go.
The food was phenomenal! I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was the best I've ever had. The Caprese salad was fresh and out of this world. Be sure to bring a nice bottle of wine!
I will definitely be back to this authentic, amazing Italian restaurant!
I love this place. Food is fantastic and always look forward to coming here. Tonight waitress was very slow taking our order and then again bringing the bill. I chalk it up to it being a packed house and very busy. I highly recommend this resteraunt. Remember it's a Byob
The food is absolutely amazing, and our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. That being said, the room itself is overcrowded and noisy. We actually couldn't even get to the hostess because the main entrance was so packed with people waiting for their tables.
Our first time eating at Kitchen Consigliere and it won't be our last. We loved everything about our dining experience. The food was delicious. We started with the meatball appetizer, had the Sunday Gravy dish for dinner and a cannoli for dessert. All outstanding! Even better than the food was our waitress Tiffany. An overall great dining experience. We can't wait to go back.
My wife and I heard about this restaurant from friends and decided to try it for our anniversary. It's quiet cozy ambiance was a break from the norm of most restaurants. Our waiter was very nice and catered to our requests. The food was very good and the portions were in my opinion just right. The layed back atmosphere allowed for us to enjoy our meals from the salad through desert and coffee without feeling rushed. I will recommend your restaurant to my friends and family.
Excellent meal all around. Steamed little necks tender in wonderful broth. Gnocchis are the best I've ever had. Light as a feather in a tasty blush sauce. A couple of out of the ordinary dessert items as well. Apple spice cake, moist, icing not too sweet and pound cake toasted with apple spice ice cream. We were in heaven
Everybody enjoyed their meals accept my veal parm. was over cooked and very dry. Would not order that again. Salad was excellent service was mediocre . Had to ask for butter twice. seemed to be some confusion by bus staff on which tables are being served. Not up to the standard of past visits and it wasn't overly busy.
We always have a great meal here. The food is authentic, fresh, and delicious. The service is also top-notch, beginning with our hostess who made every effort to help us keep our reservation when we got caught in traffic. Our server helped guide our selection when there were simply too many great choices to choose from. We are already planning our next trip back.
This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. It's got both authentic/traditional dishes, as well as innovative dishes. For the traditionalist, make sure you have the Sunday Gravy. For the foodie, definitely have the fig/mascarpone appetizer (when available). And the desserts are to die for. The chef/owner, Angelo Lutz is in the dining room and will check in with the diners. Check out his story on the website!
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. It is our "go-to" place for special family events, date nights, or even just because you need a great meal on a quiet night. Although we've eaten here many times, we tried the appetizer special chicken meatballs scallopine for the first time, and all I can say is that I'm glad I had the bread to soak up every last drop of sauce. It was DELICIOUS, Most of us went for a parmagiana - trying the eggplant, veal, and chicken. The eggplant is a huge favorite with my gang, but the veal and chicken were both wonderful, with hearty portions and tasty sauce. The one parmagiana hold out opted for the Mediterranean salmon, and declared it out of this world. We ended the meal with the very fall apple pie gelato, which was like eating a giant slice of your mom's apple pie in ice cream form. Service is friendly and efficient, and even though our favorite waiter has moved on to bigger and better things (good luck, Dakota), we'll still rave about the service. As always, an amazing dinner.
